Amazing atmosphere all around in a rustic cool architectural feel. Cozy feeling. Great location. Service is fantastic Friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating is amazing. I got the cappuccino and it was great and smooth. The coffee was so good, I got their beans Will come again.

One of the highly rated specialty coffees in Budapest. My first impression was the beautiful interior which looks like an underground wine cellar. We tried some of their cakes, cappuccino and hot chocolate. The cakes were really good! Carrot cake was soft and moist, and I love the lightly whipped cream cheese frosting which resembled a fluffy whipped cream. Coffee is good though it was a tad bit too milky for me. But it was nonetheless a good cup of coffee and I can understand why this place is so popular. The vibes were real cool yet chill.

We tried this place on the last morning spent in Budapest and I can say that I will definitely come back to Espresso Embassy when I will have the chance. The specialty coffee was top, well prepared with balanced taste. The butter croissant was also tasty. For me, at this moment, the cappuccino that I served there was the best specialty coffee I ever tasted in Budapest. Great job gyus! 🫡

Seems to be a local coffee shop with residents working, tourists chatting, and dogs roaming. It also features my favorite interior design of brick wall, long wooden tables and benches. Love that industrial, rustic vibe. The coffee was good, frankly better than the one from across the street at La Table. It was interesting that lattes were served in a glass cup.

Came twice to enjoy their amazing kalita (point over) coffee. Expertly made, full of flavour and a delicious. Large cafe too, with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Toilets were clean too.

Liked this place. It looked unique from inside. I ordered cold brew. It was ok. Not as I expected. The place itself is nice. The staff also were nice and kind. They have a spot for working people as well. Nice for afternoon or late afternoon coffee ☕️

we liked our coffees so much! we had an iced americano and an iced latte. both tasted pretty great. prices are reasonable i think, but not cheap at all. you can seat outside outside, which is nice. also, they offer free sparkling and mineral water.

Very good. Seems to be packed with locals. Cakes were tasty and cheap, the coffee was very good, but the filter coffee could be more interesting, but that's just my high standard. No complaints.

Amongst the highly rated coffeehouses in Budapest. The beautiful interior which looks like an underground wine cellar impressed me. Coffee was good and there are adequate plugs for people who are looking to work on their laptops. WiFi was excellent as well. Recommended for digital nomads in Budapest who are looking for a place to work.

This caffe is positioned as an excellent place to work, calm and cozy. Actually, it turned overcrowded and noisy hall with many disturbing factors like working coffeemakers, loud sounds from the boiler room, creaking chairs, and numerous companies of fussy and talkative tourists. From the very morning. Not recommended for work at all. Coffe is good.

Very high quality coffee, maybe one of the best in town. Their chai is also nice. Their tables outside are lovely as the street is quite. They take cards and speak English.

Well, this is a weird review to write. Went here based on the previous reviews, expecting 10/10 experience and coffee. Unfortunately we were really disappointed in a way the coffee tasted. I can't really point out what was wrong, but it tested somewhere between burned coffee and plum jam (I know weird taste for coffee right?!) On the other hand, the place was nice, service was quick, price was not too high, but the taste...I still can't get over it. Maybe it was a bad batch, maybe it was a special plum coffee that I just wasn't equipped well enough to appreciate. What a shame!

This place is almost "too spacious" to call it a cozy coffeehouse, it was quite busy, with many people inside. The flat white was great nonetheless, the coffee was tasty, nice and warm. Besides we had a maracuja chocolate cake slice, which was amazing. I would call this a quality coffeeshop, although not a small local one - but maybe a good alternative of franchises like Starbucks.

Loved this coffee place. Excellent coffee, they have 3 kinds of vegan milk. Amazing cakes. Many of the vegan, even some gluten-free options. We had the pistachio cruffin and it was just wow. Such a stylish interior, beautiful wooden furniture. Would happily drink coffee here everyday. Very good vibes. And the have 3 types of self service water - sparkling, cold and room temperature.

Fantastic coffee! I wish the capuccino lasted longer! We also tried the pain au chocolat and Flodni and both were great. Atmosphere is nice and calm. Especially when it is cold outside. Service is quick and friendly. Overall very good! Next time I will probably try the cakes as well.

Absolutely amazing 3d wave coffee shop. The pecan pie was also quite impressive. However, please, mind, that they have only almond milk as an alternative one. Also sharing some prices :) Definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a high quality coffee

Downtown specialty café, experienced and friendly baristas, extremely high-end quality, quick service even in crowded hours. They use Casino Mocca coffees, which is a well-known Hungarian new-wave roastery. Try out their E&T which is the best in town.

  • 5/5 CHE-HSIEN Jason LAI, P. 2 years ago on Google
The "wooden" and fruity taste from today's batch brew amazed me, comparing to the last two cups had in Madal then Dorado, the coffee served here definitely plays the most balanced taste role, ordered also a piece of chocolate caramel tarte, for sure it's sweet with condensed ingredient flavors, but as mentioned, the perfectly balanced coffee makes everything right, it's just like having a glass of Red wine with right year aged cheese to taste together with Which coffee bean to take away back home? Take a guess Crowded with guests queuing in front of the counter, while also many people spend their time here with laptops Nice interior design with the ancient building where they're located Yet another Mahlkonig been grinder shows up in this coffee lovers' heaven (heart) Bet they also serve great espresso here though I might not be able to afford any extra coffee today LOL

High quality coffee served in a simple and modern atmosphere, also offers a variety of sweet treats (cookies highly recommended!). Unfortunately a little noisy for working ... better for chatting with friends.

Best coffee in Budapest, fast service, perfect staff. You can ask them anything about coffee they know and ready to explain what is point in hospitality. Can buy coffee for home also, for aeropress, Turkish coffee espresso just ask staff.

It's a classic , don't let the queue put you off. It's not just another queue by the tourist. This is different, you're bound to be impressed by the sheer quality of the espresso, cortado served here !

Lovely and quaint atmosphere. The double shot of espresso gave me the energy I needed to explore the city on foot, and the cinnamon babka was so good! They also have a nice selection of pastries. Plenty of seating, but they do designate some tables as laptop free during busy times so that customers have a chance to find an open seat.

It was packed whilst I was there. It was difficult to find a table at first. I ordered a cafe latte with oat milk which was spot on. I shared a chocolate and passion fruit pie & a pecan pie with my partner - both very good.

  • 5/5 Sean J. 4 months ago on Google
Very tasty coffee - plus incredibly attentive and knowledgeable baristas. She explained the flavour profile of the coffee in the shop is due to their water composition - coffee nerds come here! The pastries both savoury and sweet were top notch! I had a lovely conversation with Ava, who gave an excellent recommendation for our pourover and helped me pick out a retail bag to take home.

The sourest coffee I ever had! I thought at first that milk was out of date.. So unbalanced acidic and harsh it tasted. I was kindly offered another drink but felt somehow dissapointed and left the coffee and the place...btw the bitter experiance was 3.4 euro

I went to alot of coffee places in Budapest and this by far is my favourite. The Coffee is unbelievable. Went twice in our trip even though I enjoy finding new places!

We had breakfast here, coffee was very good. We saw some good reviews about the pecan pie, we decided to try it. It was very delicious but too sweet, the pecan part has a lot of sweet syrup which reminded me of Baklava. The matcha latte was tasty and the goat cheese pasty was also better than the ones we tried in other Cafés.

  • 5/5 Anthony H. 1 year ago on Google
Great coffee and food. The pesto on bread was particularly good, a very nice surprise. Laptops are allowed, but only on communal tables when they're busy.

Nice coffee place near the hotel we stayed in during our stay in Budapest. Really liked the interior and design of the place. Coffee and pastries were good, definitely better than the ones they served at our hotel :-) Water tap with the 3 possibilities was a nice feature as well. Biggest plus for us were their opening hours seen as they open sooner than most of the other places in the nearby region.

The most delicious coffee in town! Cozy and atmospheric place. Very friendly and helpful staff and you can come here with dogs! I am allergic to one of the types of nuts, and when I wanted to try a dessert with nuts, I was kindly provided with a folder containing the composition of desserts with photos. It was very cool, thanks to this opportunity I was able to try all the desserts and they are great. We have been enjoying coffee here for more than half a year! The photo is my favorite dessert. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake!

Great place for the best specialty coffees in town. I love the interior, as you can come here to work from your pc or just chill with your friends/family. They also have great pies and cakes and the staff is just super friendly. I always have a good experience here! Don't forget to take a package of your favorite beans as well! ;)

A delightful café near the heart of Budapest! Absolutely loved the chill atmosphere and the cool underground wine cellar feel. The latte with oat milk was pleasantly smooth, and the yogurt with fresh fruit and granola was tasty and a great complement for a Saturday breakfast. Prices are also very reasonable. An all-around great coffee shop, one I will definitely hope to return to on my next trip to Budapest!

Good coffee ( I drank a cappuccino) and good place to buy fresh beans. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and subdued. Not too touristy - being a guide in my own country I felt compelled to check out all the traditional classic cafes, and though they were stunning, Espresso Emporium is an authentic local relief.

  • 5/5 Marta K. 2 years ago on Google
Some of the best coffee I had in the over 10 cafes I've been to (so far) in Budapest. Even when it's busy it doesn't feel like it—the place is large and spacious, with high ceiling and plenty of room between the tables, so you don't feel squashed even when all the tables are taken. And it's appears to be busy most of the time. It has a bright light feel, probably thanks to the wooden decor and plenty of light. Food offer: mostly sweet breakfast options and cakes.
