Opened in 2005, MÜPA's 1600-seater concert hall is the place to go to, if you are into classical music. Legendary acoustics, a fabulous 92-registers Mühleisen organ, and 14 years of fine music engrained in the walls. Apart from the concert hall at its core, MÜPA also houses the Festival Theatre, the Ludwig Museum, several other functional halls and it is home to the National Philharmonic Orchestra. The building won FIABCI's Prix d'Excellence. Lead Architect: Gabor Zoboki

Attending the see your host event on Friday 12th April 2019 at Müpa Budapest was a great experience. Müpa is a very nice place with a very hospitable environment and professional staff and great service. The place is worth a visit, and is great for hosting major events.

Enjoyed an orchestra event. There were more than 100 people performing on stage. Very nicely designed acoustic building. Entry ticket is reasonable.

Very nice venue with eclectic interiors. All the personell spoke fluent English and we're more than nice. I only saw one theatre hall but I must say that I ended up nicely surprised by the acoustics and warm feeling of it. Definitely coming back.

Its no coincidence that the Müpa is said to have the best acoustics in all of Europe. You can really hear anything anywhere. Although I maybe love the fact even more that there is just so much variety in the shows. For example last I was in a Monte Verde opera show, but it has occurred that I’ve been at a Nils Framm concert here. The shows are perfect, the place is beautiful, classical AND modern at the same time. 10/10, definitely recommend, come for the variety, stay for the quality!

I went for a weekday concert and really enjoyed it. I was almost in the very back row but the sound was still great.

There are amazing performances here. The seats are comfortable and everyone is respectful. You can get food and drinks during the breaks. Although the prices are pretty high, the foods are nice. You can obviously leave your coat at the coatroom (I am not sure whether it is free or not) . You van park under Müpa if you have a ticket for a performance, but the parking lot is quite slim so make sure you are a good driver if you park here. Overall it is a great place with a huge variety of performances and I definitely would recommend.

One of the best event venues in Budapest. We particularly love the Recirquel shows. Decent ticket prices, beautiful atmosphere, free parking.

Excellent acoustics. I went there for the Vad Fruttik concert and I really enjoyed it!

Great place except you have to pay for the wardrobe and they only accept cash. That seems really unnecessary, especially since I've already paid 11000 for the ticket. Also, when getting the coat back from the wardrobe, some sections were not serviced by any staff. So you have to wait until the wardrobe is empty before getting your jacket.

The acoustics were excellent for the choral concert I attended. Sitting in the last row.

Good place where you get the essence of culture in various genres. The building is also architecturally amazing. It's easy to park in the underground car park. The shops are also excellent, you can find the best art-themed books, respectively there is a small shop selling music instruments.

Nice place to check out next to the National Theatre. Worth to visit, especially with nightlights on. It has a very wide & diverse portfolio for concerts.

MUPA is a beautiful facility with incredible acoustics. The seats are comfortable. Areas are well marked. It is easily accessible by Tram #2. Be sure to check out the Kolodko mini sculpture on the stair rail of the front entrance. The program for the performance was available in Hungarian and in English.

Fantastic purpose built multi room arts venue. Saw a concert in main auditorium and acoustics were unbelievable Separate break out areas and a cafe bar. Also has book and gift shop.

Lovely modern concert hall with affordable student tickets. I had one the greatest musical experiences of my life here at the Budapest Wagner Days.

Chobi was incompetent. He was too intrusive. Used our gadgets to leave positive feedback. But at the same time, he didn’t even ask if we wanted to finish our cocktail when he took the glasses. Next time be more attentive and not determined to get a good review :)

The venue is great: spaces are well designed for different purposes: some for sitting in an amphithéâtre, some for enjoying drinks, some for seeing the entire panorama of the inside space. Bathrooms are great. There is a small Music Store inside the venue which is cool because it has a few less known instruments. Inside the music hall the “balcony” chairs on the side were heavy and were just that, chairs like you have in your dining room. So space can be a bit of a problem depending on your weight/ height. Main hall chairs looked ok as they are regular concert chairs. But all was good except the performance. So my score is a reflection of the performance. In my opinion the “ Margret Island” is a totally misconceived performance. Most of the things are repetitive, uniform, kind of gratuitous/useless. They are moving around large/ bulky “ mattresses” that distracts rather then contributing to anything else. The focus on the soloist/ singer is a mistake for many, many reasons. The voice was flat, with no nuances and musicality for the entire performance. Almost everything distracted from the content of the songs/ stories as they were presented in the performance summary. This looked liked a performance for a stadium in the end and not a concert hall. Also a better selection of the songs would have been wonderful with more variations so things don’t sound so monotone. Anyhow some people liked it so if you know the band and enjoyed their music then you may consider going.

    Wonderful acustic,interesting and beautiful building

Very beautiful and modern building but.. AC makes some noise so during concert pauses or a cappella you can hear it which affects performance in a bad way. Also, despite having tickets for the event you have to pay for cloakroom in HUF in cash, it's really annoying if you don't have cash at all and have to withdraw it with some fees and withdraw bigger amount that you actually need.

Monolithic ugly architecture. With it's strange reverse rake the view from row7 in the front stalls is not good. It's a bit weird. Great acoustic. The Budapest Festival orchestra under Adam Fischer is fabulous

Excellent concert venue. I have seen different dance performances here and they were excellent. Even the very back row of seats offers a great view in the festival theatre.

Lovely and beautiful building, bar staff is kind, parking is terrible but that is the least important. Really quality scope of performance and concerts/events always, since the opening.

Foremost formal music venue in Budapest. Great acoustics and the organ is superb.

Post-modern, functional building complex with two music hall. Great acoustic. Location is available easily accessible by public transportation. Free car parking (inside, outside).

the place itself and what you can see is more than incredible. Customer service is disgusting, mostly online. Do not go by car, the parking there is a nightmare and the guys who are "working" at the barrier are the most lazy mf you can see in BP.

Beautiful, modern building offering world-class cultural experiences from classic symphonic music to dance and folk productions. Elegant and still lovely.

Imposing building, modern and compfortable. I like the idea to have concert hall, souvenir and book shop and modern art museum in one building. Very easy to get here by tram number 4. One minus - paid wardrobe. 180 forints per person. Good that toilets are free.

Spectacular place for concerts! We went to watch Kings of Convenience, and it is with their ambiental guitar music that this hall showed her full quality. The architecture of the place is stunning, and you feel enlightened when you are there. Maximally recommended 👍

Went for a concert. Bought a side box seat. Actually ground floor is fine too.

Great location, easily accessible by public transport. Acoustics are reasonably decent. The venue is mostly wheelchair accessible, though be sure to bring an able bodied person accompanying you. The personnel act like set-pieces of biological origin. The cloakroom is very close to be accessible: only a few steps divide you from salvation. That being said, the building is very nice on the outside and inside as well.
