We
were
in
Dallas
for
a
work
conference
and
decided
to
try
Bob's
based
on
recommendations
from
people
we
know
who
have
been
there.
The
atmosphere
was
a
very
unassuming,
old
school
steakhouse
with
wood
paneled
walls.
We
had
a
reservation
and
were
seated
immediately
upon
check-in.
The
staff
were
all
very
friendly.
A
loaf
of
warm
,
fresh
bread
was
brought
to
our
table
within
a
few
minutes
of
being
seated.
The
bread
was
really
good.
The
bread
was
very
good.
We
started
with
Bob's
old
fashioned
cocktails
after
asking
our
server
if
they
have
block
ice,
which
thankfully
they
do.
The
old
fashioned
was
good.
I
ordered
a
wedge
salad
and
my
hubby
ordered
the
Caesar.
The
salads
were
tasty.
I
had
the
9
oz
filet
and
my
hubby
had
the
NY
strip.
The
steaks
were
really
good
and
cooked
to
order.
The
steak
orders
are
accompanied
by
a
whole
glazed
carrot
and
a
choice
of
a
potato.
I
took
a
few
bites
of
the
carrot
and
it
was
mediocre
but
I
could've
done
without
it.
My
hubby
didn't
even
want
to
try
it.
Out
of
curiosity,
I
looked
around
to
see
how
many
people
in
our
immediate
environment
actually
ate
the
carrot
and
it
seemed
as
though
the
majority
of
patrons
left
3/4
or
more
on
their
plates.
I
chose
a
baked
potato
to
accompany
my
filet
and
the
gal
who
brought
out
our
food
had
all
the
toppings
for
me
to
choose
from
to
add
to
my
baked
potato.
My
hubby
chose
the
smashed
potatoes.
We
had
glasses
if
cabernet
with
our
entrees.
For
dessert,
we
opted
to
share
the
chocolate
mousse
pie,
which
was
good
but
we
both
thought
it
was
more
fudge-like
than
mousse-like.
Overall,
it
was
a
good
meal
and
seemed
like
a
local
staple
type
of
steakhouse.
The
service
was
spot
on
and
all
the
staff
was
friendly
and
attentive.
