There are a lot of hype about Lion Point and Tiger Point, and I have visited this place several times, and I never thought there was anything special about this place. 1. Food is very expensive, and options are way too little. 2. If you have any bhajiya, it will give you a bad loss motion. I guess because of the oil they use. 3. The chairs provided to sit are not clean and are broken. 4. Whether it be rainy season or winter or summer. It’s always cloudy, and nothing is visible. 5. It’s just dense khai, nothing else. It's just hype that is created about this place.

Best time to visit is during end of monsoon. It is covered with dense fog, actually cloud during peak monsoon. Usually crowded on weekends still a fun place for everyone. Widely spread place with beautiful landscapes. Top most point in lonavala. Maggie, chai and snacks points are available.

The weather was really bad, with lots of rain and fog. But I didn't mind, I was cozy in my car. I saw some vendors on the side of the road, inviting me to stop and buy some snacks and drinks. But I decided to keep driving, I didn't want to pay for parking.

Lion Point Lonavala - A Majestic Natural Wonder Lion Point, located in the picturesque hill station of Lonavala, is a breathtaking natural wonder that never fails to leave a lasting impression. My recent visit to this stunning vantage point was an experience that showcased the sheer beauty and serenity of the Western Ghats. Spectacular Scenery : Lion Point offers panoramic views that are nothing short of spectacular. Perched atop a cliff, the sight of the lush valleys and steep cliffs below is truly awe-inspiring. The point gets its name from a rock formation that, from a distance, resembles a crouching lion. It's an ideal spot to admire the grandeur of nature, take in the fresh mountain air, and capture some of the most stunning photographs imaginable. Peace and Tranquility: What sets Lion Point apart from many tourist destinations is the tranquility it offers. The serene atmosphere and the absence of bustling crowds create an ideal setting for a peaceful escape. It's a place where you can connect with nature, listen to the soothing sounds of the wind, and simply savor the moment. The perfect spot for those looking to meditate, contemplate, or just escape from the noise of urban life. Accessibility :Lion Point is relatively easy to reach, making it a suitable destination for tourists of all ages. It's just a short drive from Lonavala town, and the road leading to it is well-paved. However, as with any hill station attraction, it's advisable to visit during weekdays or during non-peak hours to avoid the crowds. Safety and Amenities: The site is generally safe for visitors, with adequate railing and safety measures in place. However, it's advisable to exercise caution and watch your step while walking along the cliffs. While the point itself doesn't offer a multitude of amenities, this minimalistic approach is part of its charm. Visitors should come prepared with essentials like water, snacks, and proper footwear for walking. In conclusion, Lion Point in Lonavala is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone seeking a serene escape amidst breathtaking scenery. It's a place where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the Western Ghats and experience the tranquility that the hills offer. If you're in Lonavala, make sure to include Lion Point in your itinerary for a memorable encounter with the majesty of nature.

People often confuse Tiger Point with Lion Point. Both are separate hill points but offer similar views. Lion point is located near Tiger point. It offers a view of the mountains and a deep valley popular for their fritters made of onions and corn that have been roasted. Lion point is not home to any lions, but it is named that way because it is part of the Lonavala Lions Club. It is among the most well-known viewpoints in Lonavala and; also one of the top places to include in Lonavala tours. The Shiv-ling Peak is a conical peak that is visible to the left of Lion’s Point. The views at Lions Point are majestic and breathtaking. The views of sunset and sunrise from here are stunning. The wind is very powerful at this point. The road to the Lion point is equally beautiful.

In monsoon fully crowded and not able to see anything due to clouds all over the valley. For the rest of the season normal crowd and can enjoy the beautiful valley view. Must try Kanda bhaji and corn bhaji, 100 RS. Per plate.

Must visit during the night time. There are stalls open in the night time at the top where eatables are sold... Bhajji must be tried here especially the corn one. It's a beautiful view in the night with the cold breeze and the starry night sky.

So, visited this place in June, and the view was fully cloudy and lovely. The place is so beautiful to visit in monsoon. But you could get only few moments to see the Scenic view, as due to clouds they are totally covered. And, I tried food there :- 1. Sweet Corn 2. Masala Maggie So, the food was so good along with the beautiful nature. Carry raincoats in this season, cause it rains continously there. Or if you want to enjoy the rainy weather here can either go by car or by bike. You'll surely get good clicks here, though in the rainy day ( when I went ) didn't got some clicks as due to foggy weather background and all didn't came well. Must visit this place with friends or family. The place has good vibes.
