Went for a Sunday roast with our dog. The place is cute and we had a lovely booth. Staff was nice and even nicer with our little boy. Food was really good, roast, sides, desserts. Fairly priced too (I'm used to London's prices 🤣). Very nice experience, absolutely recommended. The waiter was rushing at the end (we stayed for our two-hours slot) and didn't give me the time... to tip 😅 sorry about that.

Your typical pub, Queens Arms was a nice pit stop during our trip to Edinburgh. It has a nice selection of food as well as drinks. Friendly and attentive staff! However, I am only awarding four stars because although the food was tasty, nothing blew me away and because there was a very big gap between our starters and mains. I would probably visit again though.

Amazing experience at this pub/restaurant. 10/10 for all 3 factors. Throughly enjoyed our visit here . Everything from food, service and atmosphere was top of level. No complaints. It's a must try!!

We loved this pub! Great ambiance, excellent service and food. We were looking for a nice pub on our last night in Edinburgh, and this hit the spot. Good mix of a pub, but one that still served great food and without being too dive-bar-ish. 10/10!

Such a great place! You'd easily miss it if you're walking by, so it's good to know it's here, downstairs! The Royal Daiquiri is fantastic, and the food is excellent (though I added salt to the chips 🙊)! We made a reservation, but if it's not busy, you can definitely get a table. Also, quiz night!

The flavour and value on the sunday roast is just outstanding. It even included dessert and we didn't expect that! And it was all absolutely delicious.

Big surprise this pub and food! Completely full, some people eating, others drinking, some watching sports... I went for dinner and decided to go for the Mac Cheese. Alelluya, first restaurant in Edinburgh that I have been that the Mac Cheese is home made. So crunchy and taste on the top and perfectly cooked inside. It was massive!!! Staff was nice, experienced and helpful. I'll be back soon for the Sunday roast.

If you love your rugby, you'll love The Queen's Arms. If you love your food, you'll love this place even more. We had a lovely 3 hour lunch and a few drinks. It would have been so easy to sack our other plans. A few tips; the pub isn't suitable for wheelchair users, the portion sizes are generous, and I recommend you book a table; especially if the 6 nations is on 😁

We went there for their Sunday Roast. We made sure we made a booking before going as we weren't able to get a table the last two times we were there (it just shows how popular their Sunday Roasts are). This is our second time dining there and once again we had a great dining experience. Our beef and vegetarian wellington were delicious. The meat was tender; the brown sauce was perfect to pair with the beef or the Yorkshire pudding; the wellington was full of flavour. But the roast potatoes were a bit too hard at the outside. We had been missing their pork roast with crispy pork skin but to our disappointment this roast had been taken off the menu. I really hope they will bring it back in the future. The service we received was excellent. The waitress was very attentive. Overall, once again, a very great dining experience. Well done Queen's Arm!

Sunday roast is legitimately very good but you probably should book a table as it gets very busy. Service was excellent, all staff were very friendly and prompt. Good drinks selection, local beers were great. We ordered the sharing Sunday roast. We wanted something good and not some over priced pretentious tourist BS which Edinburgh seems to be full of now. Thankfully this place delivered. Everything about the Sunday roast was good; meat was great quality and cooked perfectly, roast potatoes and vegetables were done perfectly. Price was reasonable but on the high side but it does come with 3 small sharing desserts. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing place - staff was super friendly, attentive and polite, well poured guinness and decent wine selection. We only stopped for bar snacks - fried chicken was so crispy, juicy and flavourful and cheesy beefy fries were absolutely amazing ! We will definitely be back for a full experience of the food. They can get quite busy so best book a table.

This was the first pub we visited on our trip to Edinburgh. Glad my husband made reservations here! Their Sunday roast was phenomenal. My husband ordered their pulled pork Mac & cheese and that was just as delicious. The ambience was very relaxed. We arrived during a futbol game so there were a lot of folks enjoying drinks and having a nice dinner. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. If we lived in Edinburgh this spot would definitely be a regular. If you’re in the are or visiting, definitely check this place out.

Oh wow… just wow. Walked down the pretty stone steps with the hope of sheltering from the rain… and into this beautiful haven of warmth and friendliness. Came for a drink and stayed for the most gorgeous chicken and haggis pie.

The Queens Arms is amazing! I loveeeee the vibe and decor. Old school books on the shelves and little intimate booths. We only had drinks and no food but decent selection in terms of the bar menu. Such a great place to meet friends or for a romantic night with a partner. Great dark academia vibe!!

The pub was very cosy and comfortable. In addition, people were friendly and attentive! We wanted to order fish and chips, but it was sold out already. We ate stake and kidney pie, truffle asparagus and patron pepper. The ingredients were fresh and cooked very well! We enjoyed a lot there.

We came here for a sunday roast and the food was absolutely banging however, for a £45 sharing platter for 2, they could be a bit more generous with the portion size esp with the sides…We had one piece of cauliflower cheese each😅 service was brilliant though!

Always a pleasure to come home and to a place you know so well and always be so impressed to see how the place continues stay true to the warm, athmospheric, welcoming bar while continuing to innovate. The menu - launched yesterday I'm told - is true to Queens Arms high standards and the staff are attentive, chatty and never overbearing. Perfect hangout.

Went there with friend for a Sunday roast. We took beef roast for two. For my taste meat was a bit too raw but everything else was truly amazing and so delicious. Potatoes, veggies, HAGGIS and dessert were brilliant! (We were scared to tried haggis but it was definitely worth it, so delicious!) Service was also super fast and friendly. We really enjoyed in food and drinks. They have amazing options. We loved also the vibe of the pub and hope to visit you one day again. Note - book in advance since it is not easy to get table last minute.

Beautiful and friendly pub! It has a lot of gorgeous decorations (bookshelves and such) in every corner. We went to watch a very important rugby match without reservation and the staff worked really hard to find us a table. We ended up staying for a while since the energy was great. We had a lovely mac and cheese (we had to share because the size was huge!) and a few beers. Highly recommend it.

I went with some friends for their famous Sunday roast. I hadn’t realised that it was a basement, so it was darker and noisier than I’d expected, but it was cozy, the atmosphere was very nice, and it’s dog-friendly. We shared two sharing roasts; mine alternated between overcooked and undercooked and was very chewy, despite arriving early in the afternoon, and the Yorkshire puds were overcooked. The desserts were a surprise - we hadn’t realised that they were included with the roast meal. It was very nice, though, that the staff didn’t chase us off as soon as we’d finished eating, and allowed us to stay for an additional round of drinks.

Amazing food, fish and chips were spot on. I’m not sure if it’s a government law or their establishment rule but if you have a guest under 18 they have to buy food, and it’s so worth it. Delicious.

Fantastic Sunday wellington. They had a lovely vegetarian option! Highly recommend a reservation. Very convenient location, great food, and very friendly and attentive staff. We'll be back!

Went for the sharing roast and everything was very tasty! Roast potatoes let it down a bit, not crispy and quite hard with no seasoning. Also, it is a sharing Roast and we had 1/4 of a Carrott to share and 3 pieces of cauliflower, so made it difficult to share evenly. Overall would dine again as it was full of flavour. Dessert was good too.

Delicious meal and overall experience. The service was great and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and all the questions we asked. The table ordered Mac n cheese, mushroom/chicken pie and the butternut squash - all were delicious! I would definitely come back. Be prepared to wait a little (or at least we did), it was about 45 minutes to receive our food from ordering but well worth it.

Great little pub with a very nice vibe. The food was great & just what was needed after traveling all day. We even stayed for trivia which was a laugh since we didn’t do very well, but had the chance to try a few different drinks while there. The staff was friendly & if I’m back in town I would stop by again!

Incredible way to end our Edinburgh trip. We booked in advance for a roast after seeing reviews and weren’t disappointed. The service first and foremost was amazing, really friendly and funny staff. Great drink selection. The food was absolutely incredible. Everything about the roast was delicious, one of the best ones I’ve had and I’m an avid roaster! Will definitely be back here if I’m ever in Edinburgh again
