This was the weirdest experience every. Three associates in the store, all Sitting in the dining room when I walked in the store. They all scattered behind the bar. No one greeted me. I spoke to them and no one responded or asked what can I help you with. I told them it was my first time and I wanted a smoothie. None of them had any suggestions. I then asked what’s the best smoothie to get. They then offered 2 suggestions. The smoothie was good but the 3 ladies in the store need to be trained or fired.

All I ordered was a smoothie & it was HORRIBLE. Chia Banana with peanut butter is what I got but it tasted like a peanut butter smoothie plus it was extremely thick & not even completely full. I usually go to Windward location and it's flawless plus they do curbside. Won't come back here ✌️

Will never come back here, seek another location. My order started out online for delivery. Two watermelon mojitos. The delivery came early but the smoothies were terrible and the lime straws were missing. Very watered down and lacking the flavor that sold me on ordering from here initially. I tried to call several times but there was no answer. I decided to drive there. Upon arrival they seemed slightly busy. A woman with and Indian accent called me up for assistance. I explain to her that this was an online order but made wrong and is watered down. She asks to see the order. I show it to her on my phone. She scrolls and asks me when the order was placed. I told her about and hour ago or so, I’m not feeling well so wasn’t moving fast hence the delivery request. She then goes to get a man, also with and Indian accent and he is already aggravated. I’m assuming they are husband and wife at this point because there is also a child following him close by. I explain the same to him and he offers to provide me with the missing lime straws. I express that I’d like them remade properly because again they are lacking flavor. He gets more upset and says okay. There was an additional 15-20 mins of waiting for the remake and they taste the same. I think one reason is they don’t use real frozen fruit. If they did then you could taste the natural sweetness and flavor but there is none. It’s just syrup and ice. Wayyyy too much ice. There was another woman complaining that her smoothie didn’t have the right taste either. It seemed foreign to them that other locations are consistent and they aren’t. As if to suggest other locations are wrong and they are making it right. Then back peddled when questioned on the logic that this location is the only one making it right. They were both extremely rude to the other woman that had the same complaint. She then offered to remake them but I declined and told her that maybe she is just using too much ice. Do not waste your time here. Even the apologies that the owner offered to previous customers stating the same reasoning for leaving a bad review isn’t credible based on how they behaved today. The best apology is accountability and changed practices.

Incredible, absolutely immaculate customer service alongside fresh and flavorful ingredients. I can’t live without this establishment. Great value for your $, i got a huge smoothie and a wrap for $12. Smoothie and wrap were both delicious. Service is a little slow as they have a small family-run staff, but they are very nice and work hard.

Friendly staff and speedy service! Smoothies were delicious. I usually go for the Bahama mama but today I switched it up and got the peanutbutter paradise… omg SO GOOD! Especially after a workout since it has protein in it. Definitely will be back for food and more smoothies especially considering the super friendly staff (: thank you!!

Came into dine, no greeting from anyone and there was only 1 customer sitting for his order. I seen 3 people. 2 females, and 1 male (young, slim, black hair) and none smiled and nobody could be identified because they have no name tags like I see at many other location. I was just at one in Virginia Beach this weekend and the service was FAR superior to this one (in VirginiaBeach that is). They greet you smiling, they recommend things, and even asked if I had allergies 🤧. They then said would you like to dine in with us or on the patio. They also pointed out at the Virginia Beach location their health scores. I was so impressed. I have been to many around the US, Alpharetta GA, and they used to come to my job 3x a week. Always top tier service but not here!!!! I also showed my military 🪖 ID and before I could say anything. The male at the counter (around 415p eastern time) said we don't do military!!!! I kindly said are you sure? He said yes. I said all the other locations do. I then asked if was it because it's not a corporate location and he said I don't know who owns us and said do you still want your order. I would of walked off but my guest I was treating on our lunch break was short for time. However this location is terrible compared to all the others I have dined at. Finally the employees should have asked the the lady that walked in the red dress on speakerphone cursing out someone for approximately 5mins on her phone (hey red dress thanks for sharing how much you hate your babies daddies!) Inside the lobby to leave. Why would you allow customers to have to listen to such foul language from her and the person she was talking to on the phone? Finally teach your employees to smile/greet customers, wear name tags, and most importantly know who you work for? Corporate or Franchise! And make recommend products, the app, etc to maximize profits! Maybe you won't have an empty tip jar then.

Everything about this location is amazing. They deserve more than 5 stars. My order is always hot, fresh & ready for me when I call in pickup. They’re SUPER quick. Really nice people. Consistent food quality. Love Maulik & Parul — I always look forward to seeing them!!!

I ordered delivery from this Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I did not receive one of my smoothies. I called the store multiple times and no one answered. I had to get in contact with corporate to try to initiate a refund. It has been two weeks and I still have not received a refund for the smoothie I never received. I have even had to call corporate twice to check on the refund, but still nothing. Very disappointed since Tropical Smoothie is my go-to for a healthy lunch but I won't be ordering from them again.

The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is tasty. That being said I have a major beef with this store. On the bottom of their receipt they have a survey that is supposed to give you a smoothie for $1.99 if you fill it out, but they don't honor it! I love TSC, but won't be returning to this location.

I came in before my doctors appointment and there are 2 people, a young lady and man, working the entire store. It’s clear they are understaffed, however I have never had a better smoothie or food. For a great price I got a healthy meal that tasted delicious and fresh. I will definitely be back. To the 2 who were working when I came in, keep it up!

After a long day of exercising me and my thirsty friends always cant miss out on the thirst quenching delicious Refreshing smoothies, It is a nice treat to go for when my tummy is upset, i always leave this place with my tip wet because of how good the smoothies are, if i had an option id put a 10/10 stars

Good customer service. Difficult to get to, the location is hard to get to. But the food was fast and clean, so worth it.

Terrible customer service every time I go in. My last experience I ordered online and I couldn’t remove an ingredient. I immediately called SEVERAL times to have it removed before arriving and no one answered. I get there and she gives me an excuse about the phone being out of range. My daughter’s smoothie also had an extremely foul taste and was watery, smelled as if there were some sort of cleaning chemicals in it. Disgusting and I’ll never return here!

I go here often and the food comes out without a long wait. I always make a special order and they are happy to make my meal and that’s awesome :) Nata is often on the register and does a great job also. Great place to eat healthy.

Ordered delivery. Driver noted on app that food was delivered, but it never came. Driver would not answer. Tropical Smoothie never answered the phone despite several calls from me and Doordash. Stay away from this location.

Lovely place. The staff was hard at work and the food looked absolutely Devine. It’s a nice lunch spot for a light healthy meal. It was very clean and not overcrowded. I would recommend stopping in for a peaceful meal.

Ordered this morning with my coworker to only see my sandwich that I order for lunch look like this with spoiled meat & they still made the sandwich anyway. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Staff doesn’t greet customers as they enter the establishment nor thank them for patronizing. Also, to see the containers used to make smoothies just rinse with hot water as the cleaning process is really disturbing.

My absolute favorite tropical smoothie location! The staff is always polite, they remember my exact order every time, and they never run out of anything! Rosa is my fav!

My food is always good and made right . I order the jerk chicken wrap without the lettuce or pineapple salsa and it’s hot and delicious every single time. My smoothies are always blended to perfection as well.

I been coming here for a few year now, after my experience I had today this location, this will be my last time getting any thing here again. They mess up my order and they fail to (1) take responsibility that they mess up my order (2) They refused to correct the problem or refund me my money. Very rude manger and employees here and it very disappointing that they treat a loyal customer like this 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I was here last Saturday, afternoon ordered a Detox Island Green. The guy that prepared my smoothie was very light on the Kale and Spinach. Added to much ice and water. I brought it to his attention and he told me it didn’t require much. SMH I told him the amount of water and ice added diluted the smoothie so much you couldn’t even taste any of the ingredients in it. So I went to my regular location on Piedmont in Midtown and asked for the same thing and as usual the ratio was portioned correctly. I’m my experience in dealing with independently owned and ran by a certain ethnic group has been challenging. Thumbs 👎🏾

My order is always ready on time. It’s family owned and they are always helpful and willing to resolve any issues. My smoothies are well blended and my orders have always been accurate.

EDIT: 7/1/21 there seems to be new management and the staff are back to their happy selves! I have had no issues since new people have taken over and the food/smoothies are always perfect again. Orders on time and I am so glad this place got back on track!! PREVIOUS REVIEW: I’ve lived across from here for 3 years and have been coming here for that long at least once a week. At one point the staff was so sweet and smiling, it had a happy vibe and they always had great service. Lately I order online and go pick it up to avoid the attitudes at the register. One morning I walk in as the only customer around 10 am and the girl was sitting on her phone at the table (no issue there was no one in there) she audibly sighed, rolled her eyes and was obviously annoyed that I came in. I was polite and asked for my order. She was upset that I ordered food and didn’t want to make it. Very short with me. They never say thank you for ask if you need anything. Always forget to pack a straw in my to go order. Half the time it’s wrong. I used to love this place it’s sad that it’s gone downhill so much.

Zero stars if I could. Why is this place still open? Customer service has gone down bad in the past year. Managers yelling at employees and customers. They can never keep the same staff for more than two weeks. My order is always wrong or taste bad. I do not recommend this location on the lack of good customer service alone.

The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted something to wake me up because I didn't get my morning coffee and I was a little hungry. They recommended a Mocha Madness. It has chocolate, coffee, cappuccino and non-fat yogurt. It really hit the spot.
