This place is about 1-2 hours from the municipal town proper of Naguilian, La Union. We went there on motorcycle but I did see public jeepneys in the barangay where we had our jump off. I was told there are only certain schedules of public ride within the day. Road to the place is very similar to the way going to Baguio if via Naguilian Rd, mostly steep, uphill and zigzagging. Upon reaching jump off, it's a good 20 minutes trek to Bulalakaw Falls. It isn't only the falls that is worth visiting. The rock formations along the mountain cliffs are also a sight to behold! And there is a river running between mountains, too. My fellow trekkers tried fishing in the river, but were not lucky to catch any! . The falls drops into a pool of clear water with bluish green reflection and flows directly to the river below. Another beautiful not too known jewel of La Union! It is in exploring that we discover gems, and Bulalakaw falls is truly one natural beauty that is worth visiting!

The road going there is already concrete and wide except for the last 1kilometer --- one-way and steep. Trekking is more or less 20minutes on a flat terrain of ricefields and riverbanks. But you will forget all the hardship when you see the hidden Bulalakaw Falls. ... Can't find the perfect description for its beauty. As in WOW! In all aspect, in any angle, its BEAUTIFUL! HIDDEN PARADISE! Crystal clear cool water, very refreshing. The depth is perfect for swimming. Parang ipinalandscape ng nature motiff na swimming pool only, no landscaper can do it sa sobrang lalaking beautiful rock formation ang nakapalibot dito. I can stay here forever!

The place was so nice. It's worth the trip. Unfortunately the road going there is very narrow and is good for one vehicle only for about 3 kms. Quite scary as well as the road is beside a ravine. But it's quite an adventure. Not for the faint hearted drivers. If going on a group trip. Better to go on a bike or motorcycle.

Almost an hour walk but worth it once reached.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE EVER!! It's not easy to get there, but as they say, NO PAIN NO GAIN! It'll be all WORTH IT. You get to exercise along the way and get to enjoy the SPECTACULAR VIEW, AMAZING CLEAN, AND CLEAR WATER. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. P.S. Do research first before going there, like get a local guide.

From Brgy. Baay (a 2KM) road away going to the falls. come and experience the adventure;the road,the atmosphere and the excitement.the road is very narrow (one way) and from the parking area you have to walk watching every step going down the hill/mountain.bringing alcoholic drinks not allowed.you can bring your own foods etc.

As of this writing, the wooden bridge used to get across has fell down. You have to take an alternate route which is an addtl 1 hour to get into the falls. But its is really worth it. In our case we have an igorot guide that helps us get across the water, (short cut 3 min you are already in the falls) you should have a rope in order to do this. Your guide should know how to swim in the ravaging water and knows well how to get you across. One mistake could end your life since water current is very strong and water is deep.

Came at around sunset on a Sunday. Was not too crowded and the falls were beautiful. This is one of the best waterfalls in Philippines. Easy to reach!
