***I’ve never had the energy to leave a bad review but this one definitely deserves it*** Very bad experience with the food here. We’re staying at La Quinta hotel so I Went to the restaurant and ordered some food to go. Before leaving I realized my drink was half filled so I told the waitress. she took the cup, filled it with more ice and gave it back to me.!!! *red flag** after less than 5 minutes I got to the room and as soon as my girlfriend opened her food it looked horrible. The cheese manicotti was warm and cold at the same time as if it was reheated. The fried pickles were hot, very hot, but with no crisp, they were just soggy. The ranch that came with it was also VERY HOT!! we came to the conclusion they reheated the whole plate with the ranch inside. I can go on… but it’s not even worth. Be careful with what you order from here!! -Pizza was good atleast—

Best Old Chicago establishment we've ever been to.... not too crowded, great drinks, pleasant employees and expedited food orders! Extremely impressed! We ate, drank and were merry! Fantastic evening relaxing on the first and second floor enjoying our conversations! The ownership should be commended on such a wonderful establishment as a flagship for this chain of restaurants! Wish we'd have known it was located within the hotel as a restaurant! Impeccable!

So the appetizers aren't worth the $$$ 8.50 for a bout 2 pickles cut, flavor there just not the quantity. The staff must have been hungry the pic is a full order as it hits the table. The pizza has always been good but $30 a pie is over my budget so I dont ever seem to eat there.

The service was over the top, we had a party of 14 and they went above and beyond! Food was hot, delivered in a timely fashion. We will come back!

Food was decent but service was terrible. Went for the hubby's bday dinner, flies were everywhere, we had to cover food on table with napkins, appetizers were brought with no plates and we kept trying to get the attention of girl who brought them to the table, she was right beside us but ignored us and walked on by. So we sat there forever and by the time we got plates the pizza was there, we had barely got to eat one piece when guy gives us our ticket like we were being rushed out, how did he know we didn't want something else? UPDATE: I would like to add that on 8/3 a manager contacted me via email wanting my address so they could make it up to us, said they would get a gift card "sent out quickly" I responded back and now about a month later, nothing has been received. Another addition to very bad service.

Enjoyed our dinner. Really liked that restaurant was attached to our hotel so no need to go out in the cold snowy weather

I rarely write reviews. However, I have had 2 frustrating situations arise with booking a banquet with for athletic team. The first year, after booking the banquet 2 months in advance, I was called 2 days before the date notified of it being double booked. They said that we could have the patio to ourselves, which I agreed to. I understood, and it really wasn’t a big deal. They then sat people on the patio with us, so we had our banquet in the hotel lobby. Not what I envisioned when I called two months prior. Fast-forward a year, I booked two months before again (this time I take some responsibility for booking here again). This time on the phone, I asked if there were any bookings for Oct 21st evening and was told no. Perfect! We booked the banquet room. Then the afternoon of the evening, I called to ensure the banquet room was going to be prepared. They said they moved us to the patio due to another booking. No one notified me this time, and I now know it was because it was a larger party, more money, so we were booted out. They said the patio would be ready for us. My team, parents/family, and I show up to a full patio and a long table booked in the center of the restaurant near the bar. This was my banquet booking. I wasn’t told an apology or any excuse. The manager just blamed another manager that wasn’t there. It was unprofessional, and I’d suggest not dealing with the place for a banquet. Going for a drink or pizza with a small party is probably no problem, but when the communication and business is ran like that, I now have no trust in them.

Everything was great! Service was phenomenal and friendly. The food was good. I was a little disappointed with the appetizers and pizza. Don't get me wrong it tastes great, I was just expecting something different. The garlic bread and marinara was really good, no problem with that. I ordered the buffalo chicken roll, and I did not have any chicken in my rolls. My other two guests that were with me ordered jalapeno bites things. I don't remember the name. Those tasted good as well, sadly there were barely any pieces of jalapeno. The pizzas were definitely delicious. Would love to see a little more toppings on them. For example, my pizza looked like it had enough toppings because it was nicely spread ;but if you look at the toppings individually, you can see there was little of each topping. Dessert, I had the strawberry cheesecake and that was hands down one of the best cheesecakes I've had!!! Everything tasted great and service was awesome.

A tip to everyone out there do not order a burger at this restaurant. Unless you would like your bun to be so old and dry that falls apart while biting into the burger. My family and I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. Every occasion but this one has been great. I also usually ordered the calzone or cauliflower crust pizza I made a bad choice this time, I guess.

It was pretty good. Connected to the la Quinta hotel so definitely convenient but the bartender took a very long time to notice me. Beer was good didn't get food but she was a bit busy talking so only reason for 4 stars

It was connected to my hotel, so I went over. You can not be seated at hotel entrance a huge negative, especially when the two young ladies could care less about you....not a word, no crayons for the kids, unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The service and server changed, and my immediate wanting to leave attitude was changed. She was great, HUGE smile, fun, and so professional. One could tell this woman was a pro! Five adults two kids and to her it was a breeze, drinks never empty, food came as it should. The manager also stopped by, which is a tried and true nice touch. The place was packed that night as well, but our server made us feel like we were the most important table!

We were very disappointed in this location. We have always loved eating at Old Chicago Pizza when there is one around, but this visit was not good. They satnus out on what would be the patio, but because it was so hot outside, they had the garage doors down. The room was not air-conditioned. They relied on a couple open doors and the bar area for air to cool the room. It was not working very well as we were sweating like crazy! The food was not great this time. The nachos were ok, but the pizza was super bland. Not sure if something has changed with the company or if it's just this location, but we more than likely will not return to this location. The service was awful as well. The server only came to check on us once and then brought the check. We ran out of drinks. Just really not impressed.

We were driving through Joplin on I-44 and found this incredible place on trip advisor and then saw their reviews on Google. Got on their website order our pizza 20 minutes before we would get there. When we got there it was waiting on us and was hot! We sat down ate and was in and out in 15 minutes! Hospitality was great. I would highly recommend!

This location was not a good representation of the brand. My pizza was undercooked and doughy in the middle. The prices were typical, but too much for this experience. And while there was service, it wasn't really present.

We are from Iowa and are familiar with the franchise as we had eaten at the one located in Iowa City. I have discovered that location is permanently closed. We had the deep dish with a lot of toppings. We were disappointed as the pizza didn’t have near enough sauce or cheese. It was quite tasteless. We ate half took the rest to go. Our server was very nice and apologized. She offered to get us extra sauce to take with us. We liked where we sat as it was a very pleasant evening and we had a table on the second floor patio with open air seating.

So decided to give this place a try before heading home. As soon as I walked in I was blown away by the design and the friendliness of the staff. I sat at the bar and was greeted by Tim, who after talking to for a little bit helped me decide on what drink I should get. Made sure I had information down before ordering and also made sure I was taken care of the whole meal. Ended up ordering a half and half pizza for dinner and man what a flavor!!! The pizza totally rocked and so did the drink. I very rarely drink but this hit the spot with the amazing taste and great atmosphere of this establishment. Sadly no pictures as the beer and the pizza went down fast. Hey good food doesn’t last, am I right? I will definitely be back when I come back to visit and he is one person I will ask to see. Worth it!

Old Chicago Taproom left me in awe as a converted nihilist. The Veggie Pizza, with its colorful medley of fresh vegetables and perfectly melted cheese, rekindled my belief in the beauty of existence. Each bite was a revelation, proving that happiness can be found in the simplicity of a well-crafted dish.

Ordered carryout and the order of cheesey garlic bread should have never left the kitchen. It was burnt and completely inedible. They could have used these as hockey pucks. Obviously they care more about the cash then the quality of the food.

Cauliflower Chicago no.7 pizza was amazing. And the blood orange 🍺 beer is a MUST! (seasonal but so good) Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great burger (I'm not a pizza fan, but my friend is) and great service. Food came out quick and hot, and everyone was pleased! Plenty of options for anyone: salads, pizza, burgers, pasta. They also have a great drink selection.

Always amazing pizza at Old Chicago. My only complaint is that they have not opened a restaurant in St. Louis! Great staff at this location, they really did everything they could to make me feel welcome and well taken care of. I will definitely be back next time I'm driving through Joplin. Really, really enjoyed my visit.

I enjoy going here - Atmosphere Is Awesome, Service Is Great, Food Is Good - Not Hands Down Amazing, But Good! Best Leg Up Here Is They Are Open Til Midnight Or Later Unlike Almost All On Joplin Area! Great Place To Go With Some Friends For Drinks @ The Bar, Watching A Football Game, Or Hanging Out On Their Upper deck Patio - Also Attached To La Quinta Hotel, Just En Case You Have One Too Many And Need So Rest! Recommend The Italian Nachos! 👍

Very friendly service, clean, and always helpful with any questions you have. Food was good just a little over salted. Over all would recommend.

Very disappointed. I am in from out of town and thought this would be an easy dinner. I ordered a medium well burger and it was bright pink. So I ate around the edges and left the middle. Very disappointed. I ordered a salad the other day which was good so bottom line stick to the salad!

We had TUSCAN CHICKEN WITH SPINACH. The pizzas lemon vinaigrette and lemon garlic bring the flavor profiles to the pizza of sweet and savory. Along with the chicken and cheese. The atmosphere is always chill. Like this place alot. I do recommend.

Ever since I traveled to Chicago for work, I have searched out pizza places that serve Chicago style pizza further south. THIS is not it?! The name of the place is a little misleading. The pizza is just "traditional pizza". But it is pretty good. We had the Meat Me and the Thai Pie pizza and really enjoyed it. Oh and make sure you get some of the cheesy garlic bread too. Plus they had a nice beer selection.

First time eating at Old Chicago. We got in and were politely greeted and seated right away. All of the staff seemed very friendly. Went in for dinner last night with a party of six. Our waiter was great and was very patient especially considering we had three kids with us. Or choices for dinner included one medium deep dish, one large thin crust, two individual hand tossed, one burger and one mac n cheese. Didn't hear a single complaint from anyone on anything. The deep dish looked amazing kind of sad I didn't get it instead of the thin crust. The thin crust was awesome and it was very crispy but it wasn't what I would call a traditional thin. Again it was delicious just not a normal thin crust as I think of a thin crust. Since I'm traveling I don't know when I'll be back but if I am in this area again I would certainly go back.
