I ordered the tacos... the waitress said you can mix them up, so I ordered a shrimp, fish, and vegan Brussels sprout. They were on the small side, but excellent. They're served with coleslaw, sauce, and a slice of lime. Small bowl of tasty black beans and rice on the side. Flan for dessert ... the glaze was delicious and the texture of the flan was super creamy. Would have given 5 stars if the service was quicker. Sitting on the patio under the lights and dusky sky was nice. The waitress was professional and attentive. I think the portions are perfect. You can finish your meal without being STUFFED. Pretty darn perfect.

Sat down and left. First visit and it seemed a burden to waiter to answer a couple questions about a menu item. This review is not about food since we never tried it. This review is about service and lack thereof; this review is about not being welcoming to new patrons. Life's too short and there's good Mexican food to be had in welcoming environments. Additional note to reply: you, sir, were equally bland with service. Our boys were shocked that your nervous adult waiter could not bother to explain a dish to a 12 and 14 year old. When my husband asked a question, waiter looked annoyed even after me telling him we were new patrons. Rather than make excuses, work on it and move on. You have good ratings for your food, however, your service and attitude need work and that can be easily fixed. Peace.

Poor service. Very poor service. Gave them chance for second time. We will never come back. Ordered beer later our server came and ask again for our drink order. I reminded her that we have ordered drinks with her. She said we are short staffed and than she walked away. Than the table that came after us got their service, we left. If I could give less than 1 star I would have given them that rating. Good location. But limited menu choices.

Came here for the first time with my sister last Thursday night for dinner, and was very pleased. I got the birria tacos, which were great, I almost got an order to-go. The salsa and chips tasted fresh. My sister thought her chicken fajitas were average. Get the birria tacos!

Fantastic service and location. Great atmosphere and plenty of gluten free options. They also have quite a few vegetarian options, as well as a few vegan choices. The margarita with the spiced rim is delicious! The food can be a bit spicy, as a forwarning, to those who are used to a little less spice.

Very bad service. Gave a second chance but the service was very bad. We ordered chips , salsa and beer did not come but table next to us came after us got chips and salsa. Server did not apologize but was rude. Very bad service.

I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Sadly and unsurprisingly, the restaurant was very understaffed. The tacos (fried shrimp, barbacoa, and grilled mahi mahi) were tiny and underwhelming. The fried shrimp tacos were bland and not fried. The barbacoa was dry, and the grilled mahi mahi also didn't have much flavor. The smoked pineapple margarita was much smokier than I was expecting and there wasn't much pineapple flavor. It could've been due to the face our table ordered a pitcher rather than individual ones. However, the ambiance at the restaurant is absolutely adorable. The food/drink didn't live up to the expectations, but it was an enjoyable evening.

Went here the other night and it was very delicious! We got the fried plantains (amazing), 3 tacos (carnitas, barbacoa, shrimp) and the veggie fajitas. We wanted to sit on the patio but it rained. Inside has nice moody casual vibes. This place is vegan and gluten free friendly! Cocktails were good. Service was slow.

Probably my favorite place in Durham, Dos Perros makes incredible dish after dish. They have an entire vegan menu, making them one of the best restaurants to go for vegan options, and the service is outstanding.

Delicious margaritas, and the salsa that came with our chips was surprisingly good! We enjoyed sitting on the patio

vaccines and tests in order to dine, no thanks, not worth the hassle for dinner. will support a restaurant that does not segregate folks, good luck selling tyranny.

Absolutely fantastic! Top quality ingredients, excellent cocktails. The BEST Mexican food I've ever had, and I've had a lot. I am a 50+ year old connoisseur of food. I would go back and be extremely happy to do so.

Very nice high end Mexican restaurant. However, I wasn't feeling the food, it was dry and lacked flavor. The ambiance was definitely the highlight of my visit. If you want a fancy night out just to say you had international cuisine, this a spot!

We have had several enjoyable meals over the years at Dos Peros, tonight's was nothing of the sort. While were waiting for 40 min for food we happened to learn the location is closing soon. My opinion just close now. The queso fundido cam out and was literally a soup - could not even get anything on a chip as it just ran off. Everything else was lacking in flavor - guac, burrito, tacos. Really disappointed to finish with a last meal there like this.

Love this spot! We sat on the patio and the atmosphere was lovely—felt very safe in terms of covid protocols, and the service was great and extremely friendly. We got margaritas, salsa, queso, tacos, and churros and literally everything was delicious, especially the queso and the chicken tacos. Would definitely recommend for a yummy dinner out, we’ll be coming back for sure!

Always a great meal at Dos Perros, one of Charlie Deal's restaurant. The food is terrific here as they have done really nice tacos, sopes, enchiladas, small dishes, etc. The restaurant decor, bar and patio are also nice for a meal. The outdoor seating is a bit jumbled though as it is shared between Pompieri pizza and Bull City Burgers and Brewery. The tequila list is impressive and their agave based cocktails are delicious. The service was a little off though and again the patio was a bit jumbled. Parking either on street or in the public garage across the street.
