Great latte and donuts! The caramel lemon donut was so good. I had the lox bagel which was delicious. It can be kind of hard to find a good bagel place in NC and this place is doing it right. The biscuits were also really nice and flaky.

DELICIOUS! I ordered a toasted bagel with some fresh veggies and cream cheese and it was perfect! It did take me about 15-20 minutes to get it which would have ruined the experience if it didn't taste so great. I went around 9am and there seemed to be plenty of staff but I noticed they were working on a lot of the to-go orders first, vs for those of us inside ordering to-go so just be aware of that and give yourself extra time or call your order in ahead of time.

Lemon. Curd. Scone. It’s basically a dessert masked as a breakfast pastry and it’s truly amazing. Turkish breakfast sandwich was also delicious! They are not allowing you to eat inside but there are picnic tables at the school across the street.

Great experience! The service was quick and very efficient. The donuts were very fresh and soft. My son ordered a bagel sandwich and he really enjoyed it. The one significant negative ( not being from the very local area), was that you could not dine in. They have seating but there was a sign on the door notifying incoming customers.. I feel that this information is very necessary to share in Google, Yelp or other platforms used when searching for dining or other activities. Especially when going out with kids.

The most incredible little breakfast shop. I had the sausage egg and cheese biscuit which was awesome and also not too heavy. Espresso was great. All the food options look good so I will definitely be back for more. Tip free - they pay a livable wage and yet their prices are around what you would expect for the area. A hidden gem and a place we will frequent for the rest of my days in Durham

Bread pudding was pretty disappointing, just a hefty block of uncooked French toast, with no sauce.. no silverware. Sandwich was okay but I'm just not ever recommending the bread pudding. The donuts are great here, and it's a consistent place for breakfast. No Internet either. It's a solid counter service location with a busy customer base.

Great seasonal sandwiches, just wish they would let you sub a biscuit for the bagel. Seems an odd thing to not be able to do. The donuts are fantastic, particularly the apple cider donuts. Really want to try the cinqo leches cake, but is not available every time I make it out there. Guess that speaks to its popularity.

Visited on a recent trip to Durham and bought a box full of goodies for takeaway. I chose two donuts which were tasty. The plain glazed was fluffy and too sweet while the apple cider was crunchy with a soft interior. I loved the butter pecan cookie as well. The chocolate espresso crumble bar had a chewy aspect that I didn’t like but loved the flavor. Also had a takeaway caramel latte that I would rank in the top five of lattes I’ve tried. Finally, a big shout out to Zac who was very helpful and friendly. A kind exchange early in the morning is always appreciated.

Fabulous breakfast; a neighborhood treasure. Though I had to wait in line to order on this Federal holiday, the food and coffee came out pretty quick. Super high quality food sourced locally. Crowded with people and families of my children’s generation; looked to me like my generation was crowding up Elmo’s. Tried Monuts’ own Fresno hot sauce on my eggs, and had to get a bottle to take home with me…

I’ve enjoyed every sammich & donut I’ve gotten from Monuts. My go-to sandwich is the Turkish eggs and avocado though. This is not really a good option if you’re in a rush (is any brunch spot?). I almost always go the route of doing an online order for pickup and even then, you better get it in as early as possible because they can get pretty backed up.

Great food and pretty quick service considering how busy they were. I got a quiche and salad with 2 baked goods. I'll definitely be back. Note: They only do take out at this point.

I love this little cafe! The staff are very nice and welcoming. And there’s always plenty of seating. The Apple cider donut is amazing as well as the chocolate & peanut butter latte. Honestly I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s a really nice place to read, study or just grab a bite with some friends.

My wife and I went in for a nice coffee and a quick treat to go… we ordered a few drinks and a couple pastries each. Monuts pulled us in by the cute architecture and restaurant layout, enticed us to try so many more things than planned by having so many unique treats, and ever since has been a constant on our favorite places to visit in Durham ever since. Having Duke gardens near by really made for a wonderful experience. If you’d like a fun and chill way to start your day I recommend grabbing some breaky from Monuts and taking it down the street to enjoy it. Unless you have more self control and want to stay in Monuts. If we stayed we’d just keep trying more and more of their delicious food. Thank you Monuts for a great atmosphere, delicious food, and wonderful staff. Of

Super crowded place really popular and many people come here and its near duke university. So much variety in food and the food is really good I got the breakfast food with eggs sausage potato and avocado toast and it was really well seasoned and it tasted fresh as if grown with farm grown vegetables and ingredients. Donuts were amazing and the chocolate cheesecake scone was too good. One thing I'd recommend for them is making the drink sizes larger.

We love the vibe of this cafe. Their cake donuts are probably why we went there in the first place. However I think we pretty much like everything we tried. Now I have gone multiple times, don’t remember exactly what all we tried, but don’t remember anything that disappointed. The beverages are great. Tried their gingerbread latte and Christmas tree mocha, both were strong and made hot, like I think beverages should be made :). The person behind the counter, the barista making the drink, were all pleasant to talk to. We also got biscuits to take home to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast and the OMG those biscuits were some of the best I have had! Reminder to go back and grab another pack of them. The person at the counter told me that they typically start the day with multiple flavors of donuts which gets sold out in a couple of hours.Every time we go, the place is half to semi full. And there is a parking lot too. Let’s just say, I am a fan! :)

Interesting little spot. Parking was rather tight. The kitchen is only open until 3pm, so any time after, and you have limited options. I tried the pepper jelly grilled cheese with a tortilla chicken soup. The sandwich had a unique taste but it was surprisingly very delicious. The soup had a beautiful color; however the flavor was lacking. It was overall good, but it was missing something. I tried adding parmesan cheese but it was still lacking (the color had an enchilada dark chili sauce vibe to it so I added grated cheese to fit the flavor profile). It looks like dine in was available but I got it to go. Came here for the desserts but got lunch instead. The cashier was one of the friendliest I've had here in NC so far. I'll have to come back and update the review. To summarize, cute little coffee spot with a nice variety of drinks, desserts, food, and more.

Visited at noon and they were already out of yeast donuts. I got this coffee cake donut instead and was still super happy with it. Fresh, soft, and delicious! I asked about ordering a large number and they said the best way was to place an online order (that way they’ll hold your donuts so they don’t sell out).

Cute spot! Friendly service, food was good I had the bacon guacamole wrap. I bet the donut was amazing. I wouldn’t know bc my dog ate it 😒 I did get to try some of the whip cream before she got too it and it was good 😩.

Sorry just not a fan. We were in town and staying nearby and looked this place up for a breakfast spot that is a few notches above eating at McDonald's, but not a formal sit down place. Didn't think it would kill 25 minutes on our schedule. We looked at the menu, got in the slow line to order, then received our coffee (but not the latte) and pastries a few minutes later then began waiting for the latte and breakfast sandwich. They were very polite and seemed to be working diligently but no orders were getting completed for interminable minutes. I had time to eat my pastry (cinnamuffin) and my son ate his blueberry muffin. Both solid, very nice. But the coffee. Ugh, weak. And I asked for light roast and they said this was medium roast! I think they underfilled the coffee grounds. The latte came out fast but the bagel breakfast sandwich was another 10 minutes. I'm sorry but I would go elsewhere next time.
