👍👍 We ordered the fried oysters and the fried shrimp and flounder plates. The food was amazing, it came out fresh and hot. The cole slaw that was provided was sweet and tangy. Portions were generous and price was very reasonable. Planning to go back to try the steamed crabs! Great seafood and Good people. The food is always hot and freshly cooked.. I gave atmosphere 3 stars. But we didn't come here for atmosphere. We came here for real good food !!!! Oh yeah , please don't forget to get a piece of the different cakes they have. We have had the German Chocolate and the Carrot Cake. Both are delicious.

Service was great. Food was tasty and only reason this location did not get 5 stars is because the wings were oily. All the fried food seemed to be cooked in the same oil. All the fish and shrimp did taste very good.

Sho Nuff is good. I’ve been to the truck 4x. The first time was so delicious 😋. The second time I went was on a Friday when everything is fried. I must say that although the fish was fried good and crispy, it wasn’t seasoned. It was bland. My fried lobster tail had uncooked batter. The third time I went, all of the food was literally drowned in butter. The fourth time (pictured) I was weary of going because of the less than desirable 2nd and 3rd experiences however, the food was bomb (really good). I would give them another try and I would recommend it to a friend.

Sho Nuff may not have the decorative flair as something like Saltbox, but delivers the spirit of southern seafood well. The food is seasoned well with Old Bay, celery (even though I don't care for celery itself), pepper flakes, salt, parsely, etc. The shrimp was cooked very well and was very juicy and plump. Not overcooked. The crab legs were also decent without being too difficult to crack open and extract the meat. The french fries were a bit on the soggy side. I think if they air fried them or toasted them at the end, they would be crunch on the outside and meaty on the inside. It gets really busy during dinner time, especially weekend. Ordering online and picking the order about 30-40 minutes afterwards is suggested. Otherwise, you will find yourself waiting a while Limited outdoor seating is available, but will usually taken up by other patrons.

Stopped in here for some seafood. Crabs were a good size and meaty. Shrimp were also a good size. You have the choice of shelled and deveined or in the shell. They also give a good amount of potatoes, corn and sausage. I got the garlic butter sauce, which was a little on the salty side and very heavy on the garlic. You really have to love garlic, otherwise it's probably best to get this on the side. They will provide crab crackers if asked, but no crab picks, bibs or gloves available. The fried catfish was on point! Fried whiting was decent. I'll definitely be back for hot fish. The prices were on the steep side, compared to other seafood places with similar offerings, but I support the business and want to see them succeed. Customer service was really good. I would recommend.

The food here was very good and plentiful. They give you your money's worth "Aho Nuff." The service was good and the people were very polite. It's was a little chilly and didn't seem to be able to turn the the Gian overhead ceiling fan off but overall all a good place to go and eat. It was my parents and sister's second visit and my first. We will probably go back for more when I'm in Durham.

We got a couple of the big trays of crab clusters, shrimp and veggies to celebrate our daughter’s 16th birthday. The food was FABULOUS! Hot, delicious and just very nicely done. The shrimp and crab leg clusters were perfectly cooked. There was plenty of food with lots of leftovers. I should’ve taken more pictures but here’s one just to show how nicely packed the trays were.

From Apex, and had a taste for crab legs and seafood. My Google search sent me here, and yes YES it was worth the drive! For all the comments saying "Oh, no one greeted me as soon as I walked in", or "Never answered phone", or any other nonsense.... for one, I noticed right away that this is a small business, which appears to be run by a family (Mother, Father, son, etc) cut them a break!!! Do you understand how difficult it is to run a business?! Especially during a pandemic!? When I walked in I had to wait, maybe, 6 minutes, while a guest finished checking out ahead of me. I ordered to go, went back to my car to wait, and my God was brought to me in about 20 minutes. It was beyond exceptional service and food!! I would absolutely recommend this place, and absolutely will drive back to order again!!!

I was not very impressed with the food. The food was not seasoned. I ordered a snow crab cluster and got legs and tried to call but they would not answer. The sausage I got was very burnt. The customer service at the store was nice and that's why I gave it 2 stars. The food was not worth the price at all.

I got the delicious seafood boil, seasoned very well and made with love i would say. My wife got the fried shrimp plater with french fries, hush puppies and coleslaw, she definitely loved it and saved some for later. Great service and reasonably priced. * Personally I would say adding white rice to the menu to go with the seafood boil could grant you a loyal customer for life. Just saying 😁

Wewhere in Durham for a farmers convention and one of the Mrs. Classmates were from the city and mentioned the food here. So we went. The portions are great, and the lemonade that they have is very good. It's just a bit too sweet for me, but with some Titos in it, it's perfect

So let me start off by saying that the young woman they have working the front counter was very pleasant and kind, she answered all my questions. However I ordered a steamed plate with crabs, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and eggs. The crabs and shrimp were overcooked. The crab meat was sticking to the inside which made it really hard to eat. The shrimp still had the shells on it which was fine, but they to were too soft and mushy and made it hard to peel. The meat was falling apart in my hands. The only food that was good on my plate were the potatoes and corn, the eggs weren’t even good. I ordered the spicy butter garlic sauce, it was spicy but flavorless. The strawberry lemonade was delicious, I brought two of them. The carrot cake was amazing but they don’t make it there. I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. For the amount of money I spent in this restaurant it definitely was not worth it for me. I have definitely had better and paid less. If I ever decide to visit this restaurant again it will be for the drinks and dessert!

I've been craving crab legs for a while, so I did a lot of research before just picking any spot. And this was the spot. The best spot. The crabs legs, shrimp, pork sausages, seasonings, lemonades, everything about this restaurant was hitting. I finished my food and WENT BACK to get another cluster and more sausages. The only things that were missing was a bib and some crab crackers; my teeth and fingers had to to do the trick. The variety and flavors of cakes and lemonades were 10/10. The man who owned the spot was so kind. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

We had sho Nuff for lunch as a valentines day treat at work and everyone's food was so good. My co-workers and I got a mix of things and everyone said they enjoyed their plates. I got the fried fish and shrimp plate which came with fries hush puppies and Cole slaw. We also got differnt flavored lemonades I got pineapple. You can order and pay online or go into the shop. They do not accept call in orders and when we went to pick the inside was being renovated but there were plenty of tables outside for dinning and they had chairs inside where you could wait for your order. They give you alot of good food. Go give them a try.

The best seafood restaurant in RDU area!! This was my first time getting food from here and it won’t be the last. I got the whiting and shrimp plate. I’m a true southern girl and the food definitely reminded me of a good ole plate from a family cookout. Everything was well seasoned and did not disappoint. I was greeted with smiling faces and positive energy. I will be returning!

I saw this place on Instagram, and it looked so good I had to try, and I was not disappointed. The first bite was absolutely Devine! The garlic sauce is so so good and we were all so happy with what we ordered. The owner was so kind and accommodating and even gave us drinks on the house. They have very creative house made lemonade. Definitely recommend for seafood lovers!

Had take out from here today and the fish and shrimp were alright. More seasoning may have helped. I could taste the grease in everything else so I didn't even bother eating much if it. The blueberry lemonade was super heavy on the sugar. Didn't finish it. The cake was just okay. Overall am underwhelming experience.

So I’m here in Durham visiting my friend and wanted some seafood. I typed in google maps seafood and ShoNuff seafood came up. I read some of the reviews and decided to try it for myself. I tried to call in and order because it was 20 minutes to 9pm and that’s when they close. But they stated “we don’t take phone orders, but you can order online.” I was driving so I could not order online. When I got there it was 8:50pm…I was sure I would not get to order or if I did the food would not be quality. But I was not the only one thinking about seafood because 3 other people came in after me. We all got a chance to order. The customer service was great and the food was even better. I ordered a salmon bite plate. I added fried shrimp and two pieces of fried flounder. The plate also came with hush puppies, fries and coleslaw. I also ordered a cluster of snow crab. It was high, but seafood is high. I got a lot of food for the price. I also ordered peach lemonade and pineapple lemonade. Everything was delicious and me and my kids really enjoyed every bite.

Sho Nuff Seafood is the go to when my hankering for fried shrimp goes into overdrive! Not that it doesn’t for the crab legs and shrimp w/potato’s and sausage boils whewww FIRE!! But that fried shrimp plate though! My goodness I don’t even have a pic of the thinly breaded w/seasoned perfectness. I don’t drive off w/o at least one taste lol so when I make it home it’s a wrap. The customer service is unparalleled for a quick hello and is my order ready be/c I’m overzealous and haven’t received my text that says my food is ready…nah never mind the wait those folks put in that work!! Thank you Sho Nuff Seafood at Northgate Mall! I truly appreciate the order online option and the curbside pickup. Shrimp plate $ & Seafood boil plates $$

I got 2 catered pans of 8 cluster crab legs & the pan of potatoes, corn and sausage & 2 doz hushpuppies for my husband's birthday dinner party. Ordering online & pick up was simple & easy! Sasha was so helpful when I called about ordering in advance and reassured me that they would receive my online order & that everything would be ready on time. They provided a cart so I could roll my pans to my truck without making 2 trips. The food was ready at the requested time when I got there & it was delicious. Especially the potatoes and sausage. I'm not a fan of crab legs but those that were enjoyed them. I remembered to take a picture after we had already started eating but everything looked wonderful at pickup. We'll be back!

They were good when they used to serve and prepare your food fresh. However, the last 3 times we visited the restaurant, the food was soggy and not cooked to order. We ended up getting food poisoned. Fast forward to our last visit a few weeks ago, the food tasted like metal and to put the icing on the cake, they gave us a ‘used’ Garlic Butter. Someone was literally eating from that butter and left potato residue at the bottom. It’s okay to believe the hype when the restaurant is being promoted by your local food influencer, but if you cannot cook the food to order (as any reputable restaurant would do to ensure food safety), then what’s the point of running a seafood business.

Great seafood here. Lots of food on your plate. They beat other crab places that have food in the bags.

Probably the best food I've ever had in my life. It had great flavor I got it with little spice to it and was just the right amount. They're sauce and seasoning is just phenomenal with the food. Their pineapple lemonade enough said. Have some German chocolate cake with it it's my mouth was on fire and it all just went together perfect. My regret was I ate everything and I had an hour drive home. Look forward to going back there next time I'm in town.

I have no idea how this place has good reviews. Tried to get dinner tonight. I made the assumption I was eating at the restaurant, considering I said nothing about wanting it to go, and I ordered a drink. Sat down at one of the many tables inside the restaurant, and about 20 minutes later, my food arrived neatly bagged up to go, as id I was being told to get out. As for the food. The wing sauce was good, but the wings were soggy. Almost like they were steamed like the seafood. The ranch was the star of the wings. The seafood was probably good before they did whatever it is that they did to it. It was so salty, it probably counter acted my blood pressure meds. I honestly barely ate any of it. I don't think I've ever thrown that much food in the trash.

Been here twice and my friend and I refuse to try any other seafood place because we’re hooked on this one. Typically spend about ~$50 which in my experience is pretty average for a seafood platter. Love that they let me substitute the potatoes for more corn without upcharge either! The food is good and well seasoned, the wait times aren’t long, and the desserts are sweet. Overall 100/10!

I ordered a boiled crab cluster combo plate and fried catfish. The food was good. Unfortunately the customer service was not welcoming. The cashier was unpleasant and uninterested in explaining the menu. This was my first visit and the cashier didn’t greet me upon entry while being rude and short during my experience. Unfortunately this overshadowed my view on this business

Excellent customer service, food is cooked to order and is hot & delicious. This was my first time, and will certainty be returning for more. The business is very clean and space is somewhat limited due to long bench seating along the wall. Overall this was outstanding restaurant experience and I commend the owners on a great effort

The food is amazing. If you love the perfect shrimp, fried fish, and crab legs, this the place to go in Durham. The reason why I give it four stars is because I ordered $55 worth of crab legs and they didn’t have any crackers.

Everything was burnt or made in old oil! To-go order at 12pm should be fresh since they open at 11. Food was missing out the bag. Took the order back and it was exactly the same food. 20min drive there 20min drive back then to come all the way back for the same food just gave another order of fries on the side. Asked for butter and it was cold both times! Whooooo gives COLD BUTTER?! Literally wing and a shrimp plate butter a their lemonade… 2trip still no lemonade and the food was not edible!

  • 5/5 Maria C. 2 years ago on Google
The food is consistently incredible & the staff is always friendly! I usually get the ‘All The Way Up P&D’. It is absolutely delicious! The garlic sauce is really good and really ties the meal together. Also, the strawberry lemonade is one of the best I’ve ever had. I always order a few extra whenever I go :p

First time experiencing this place. Friends and family did a great job selling me on trying out the menu. I am happy they did. We tried almost every item on the menu; main dishes and desert. All were as advertised. Delicious. Even the Coleslaw was good. Nothing has been overlooked to make sure the patron has a great eating experience. Next thing will be a catering order for a dinner. Can't wait!

  • 5/5 Ursula C. 3 years ago on Google
Currently, you can't eat inside the restaurant, but that's all right. The food speaks for its self. The food is seasoned well and you get enough food for what you are paying for. I think this is one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. I hope they can add furniture and decorate the place, so I can dine in with friends one day.
