I'll be honest, when I first exited to turn into this hotel, my hopes were not high. It seemed seedy but I later realized it was just in an older industrial type part of town. The hotel itself was obviously older, and the decor was a tad dated, but once I stayed, I couldn't have been happier. The staff was incredible, the rooms were comfy, and most importantly quiet. AC worked good! The other guests were nice and friendly. I highly recommend staying here, and will do so again!

On April 7, 2022 I booked the two bedroom suite with one of the bathrooms being handicapped accessible for my 80 year old mother and I for July 28-31 2022. Received confirmation emails. On July 15, just 13 days before the stay I received a phone call saying they couldn’t honor my reservation due to guests extending their stays. And they had zero solutions to offer me. I spoke to the assistant manager as the hotel manager would not return my call. No solutions other than canceling. When is a confirmed reservation not a confirmed reservation? Here at Residence Inn by Marriott in Chico. So beware.

Their policies wouldn’t allow the person tending the front desk to book a room to Platinum Elite members with cash, while also having a card on file for incidentals and room charges. Too bad I probably woke up their more valued guests by having to back my trailer out of their thoughtlessly designed parking lot at 3 in the morning.

This place was fine. The breakfast is not very good. Pool is nice. Bathrooms could use an update.

Everything has been awesome although We checked in late the staf. Was awesome and the suite has far exceeded my expectations

We come stay in Chico regularly and I have never stayed somewhere that the pet fee costs as much as the room. Absolutely crazy. It ruined our stay. The room was clean and quiet but we will not be staying there again in the future when traveling with our dog.

I stay here at the Residence Inn in Chico every other week for business for 3 to 4 days at a time. Jennifer and her team Eric, Grace and everyone else have been amazing. They understand what it takes to create brand loyalty. Jennifer and her team are what makes the difference. If you're ever in Chico I highly recommend the Residence Inn or the Courtyard.

Great hotel! Stayed on a super affordable Marriott employee rate. Rooms were clean and well-maintained, breakfast buffet was great, and location was convenient.

I stay here every time I’m in Chico for business, nice clean establishment, well made rooms, friendly staff and the quality of the breakfast buffet has increased significantly as of recent.
