Just amazing. We are not German and I found it on Google Maps, we don’t regret visiting this place. I recommend it. It’s inside a beautiful park, the inside is amazing and beautiful. Inside the park you will find a pound with geese and Ducks. Everything is cute. You can take the Rheinbahn at the Düsseldorf Central (U76 and then U72). You are gonna spend 30 minutes or so going there but I think it’s not a lot.

Lovely castle with extensive gardens and green spaces. Only seen the gardens at this point but will definitely get back in the area to see more. The forested area makes you feel like you're far away from the city.

A delightful pearl in a city. Truly, one of Düsseldorf`s landmarks. My must-have to visit in Düsseldorf always, if friends visit me. Beautiful and peaceful place with big park and greenery with different flowers and plants. Never boring to come there again. Easy to reach by public transport.

The palace is pretty. We took the guided tour but it was a bit of a disappointment. The tour guide was not very knowledgeable. Also, we were just shown a few rooms. The servant rooms, the passage to other wings were just explained verbally. Also at the upper floor, we could just peep into the guest rooms. Access was denied there too. We would have appreciated if we could access more rooms. The rooms that we saw were, no doubt very pretty. It is a shame to spend 14 euros on a guided tour and see only a few rooms with very little explanation.

Fantastic place to visit. Nice, calm and beautiful landscape. Combination of nature and architecture with a lots of birds chirping can give you the mental peace you looking for. Totally recommended place for single, couple or family time. It can take easily 4/5 hours to complete the visit.

Lovely visit and enjoyed the Christmas Market. The small cafe is amazing with fantastic customer service and one of the best homemade soups I have ever tasted.

Beautiful place with nice green area around it. We did not go inside the palace, thus do not know if it is worth it, but having a walk in the park was very nice. Do not miss the small flower place next to the entrance. There is also a free parking inside the area, with special places for senior people. But parking can be easily found around. One small pity is that there is no cafe on the territory to enjoy some warm drinks.

Amazing hunting palace surrounded by a beautiful park. The tour inside the palace reveals a lot of interesting architectural features as well as short stories about the people who owned it.

The buildings and surrounding are very beautiful. People usually do their pre-wedding photoshoot in this location. It has wide garden and bunch of benches in location. Perfect for family picnic during the summer. To reach this area, people usually use a U-Bahn/subway from Düsseldorf Hbf and stop at Schloss Benrath station then simply walk for 2-3 minutes to reach the area. The building entrance in the photo can be found underground, the staff was nice and they are able to speak english, just simply buy your ticket online/buy it on the spot and show it to the staff. If you have a valid student ID, you can have a discount, don't miss the opportunity.

From the outside, the castle looks somewhat dated, especially on a gray February afternoon. However, inside it is quite beautiful. The ticket to the castle also grants access to the two other museums on the premises. The park is freely accessible and offers nice walking trails.

(Translated by Google) Beautifully landscaped castle park. Invites you to stroll. The Museum of Natural History is worth a visit. Birds and insects that I haven't seen since I was a child are preserved there. Likewise the life in the Rhine, from the fish to the flora and fauna. Very educational, not just for children. To marvel at the magnificent castle from the inside was a pleasure.

A beautiful and serene view right next to the Rhine river, it's a great place to visit on weekends. There is also a garden right next to the Schloss Benrath and it's called Englischer Garten. It's a good place to walk and spend time with your family friends or even on your own. It's close to Düsseldorf and you can the Ubahn which goes directly to Schloss Benrath. Highly recommended

The whole park behind the castle is prettier than the castle itself. If you really want to see the castle from the inside then it’s fine, but I don’t recommend buying the other ticket where you can enter only the two castles from left and right. Now in May/June is the prettiest time to go and visit it, especially when it’s sunny🌞

The lake and yards are nice if you want to walk and take a quiet time in nature. However I would not recommend to pay the tour inside the building. indeed, the place is beautiful inside but do not worth the price at all, you only need around 10 minutes to visit the full building.

Entry ticket to beneath castle is 14€. Which is located in southern part of düsseldorf. You can take U71 from schadowstraße to reach the place. If you are traveling at Christmas time definitely you will enjoy the Christmas market outside of the castle. When we visited the castle, the lake and water body was completely thickened by ice, so you can do ice skating or ice related activities for free.

Just few meters away from dusseldorf and accessible by U-bahn. A very relaxing schloss sorrounded by a lake. Also,at the back there is a very big park roam around. One of the exit will lead you to a Rhein River.

Nice castle with a beautiful and diverse park. There are guided tours by the friends of the castle, there is a shop and a cafe. The gardens have an english garden, a French garden, an herbal garden and a large park area. While the castle and court are closed off in the evening the park is open continuously.

Just a short drive from Duesseldorf, this castle is located in a much quieter, slow paced location. Parking was a bit confusing, but there's a parking lot right down the street and there are signs that direct you to 'schloss parking'. Make sure you bring cash for payment. The castle is more like an estate, and its about a 10 min walk from the parking lot. I bought tickets online, and it's a bit confusing trying to figure out where to go. I wish there was a directory outside that told us what each building was. With the pass we were able to tour a little museum with local animals (all stuffed) and other information about the local land. Across the way, there were stairs to go down that lead us into the estate. You must leave your bags in a small locker room and when you go upstairs, slippers are to be worn over your shoes. The man at the locker room explained all of this to us. The estate was beautiful! It was minimally decorated, but the architecture and wall art was enough to keep everyone's interest. There's a large park in the back that we didn't have time to explore. But overall, I would recommend visiting this estate.

The castle looks nice, but the inside does not worth the entry fee unless you love sliding on marble floors with gigantic slippers that they give you so you don't scratch the floor. The gardens which are free are very nice, a bit simple, but very enjoyable.

The outside seems small and quaint with its pink paint, but the interior is filled with aristocratic decorum. The historic rooms are superbly preserved due to their strict policies. Exhibits are in German and English. The ticket office is located inside the gift shop, not in the actual palace, which can be confusing. The staff were friendly, and the outside gardens were also worth a visit.

The christmas market on the castle grounds is beautiful. Although it was packed with people, the views from the lake are really beautiful at night and make the visit memorable, so I think it's worththe visit. The prices are the same as in other christmas markets and the food I tried was good.

A very beautiful Baroque-style maison de plaisance built in late 18th century for summer pleasures, hunting, dancing, etc. The architecture of the castle is very beautiful from inside and inside and there's a huge sophisticated garden around it. There were several exhibitions in the other two buildings on the sides of the castle which were totally worth visiting.

This is a nice and very beautiful park. Also great for bicycles where you can do a couple different beautiful loops, the children's playground is close to the entrance so you can easily walk in and let the kids play without going far. Tours are on a fixed schedule so be prepared to wait a little bit if you want a tour of the inside of the castle

A very beautiful place to visit and the grounds are nice for a quiet walk. The staff is soo friendly and nice, they even tell you about the place if you ask. They even have student prices Only downside is that the regular ticket only allows you Into the first floor and you’d need to buy a different ticket to get the second floor.

To experience a palace and all its former glory. We are making it our goal here in germany to see all the castles that they will let us see and better understand the store behind each castle or palace. This palace has many to see, not only the inside and the outside beauty as well but a Museum fun for the kids and enriching for the parents and young adults. That staff really cares about the whole place and you can see it in the detailed work they put into everything making it a wonderland to look upon! Excellence at it's greatest!

Does't worth to buy tickets for 14€ to see nothing in the palace. All explanations are in german n the museums. Not tourist friendly. If you are going just for a walk, then that's ok.

Excellent gardens but skip the castle itself, only the landscaping museum is worth it and you’d rather just spend some more time in the gorgeous nature I’d think.

  • 5/5 Julie M. 11 months ago on Google
This castle is lovely! The price is a bit high and the castle not very big but if you like castles you wont be disappointed. The audioguide is very informative and you can explore the property and beautiful gardens (free) at your pace. The hunting museum was very good too.

  • 3/5 Danh T. 1 year ago on Google
The castle was small, I wouldn’t called it castle… more like a big mansion. A lot of the room got blocked off, we weren’t allowed to go upstairs. You have to get a tour guide to take you to upstairs. After all… it was okay.

Nice palace surrounded by beautiful garden with flowers and a lake. The palace has three museums displaying bird mad animal species of Europe and other two on ancient antique items especially different types of clocks.

  • 4/5 Adrien G. 2 years ago on Google
Really nice castle a bit outside Düsseldorf. The expositions on the two outer wings are worth the few extra euros for sure. The gardens are a bit run down but the place is worth a visit !

  • 4/5 Linda N. 1 year ago on Google
This is more like a French chateau from the 1700s than a German Castle. It’s beautiful and has a clock collection, beautiful French decor, and great gardens for walking. Nice part of town and easy to get to by train.

  • 5/5 Ralitsa D. 1 year ago on Google
Its a great setting for a walk, a run and maybe a fun photoshoot. The gardens must be magnificent in late spring and summer. The palace itself has beautiful rooms, but not much more.

Sehr schön, gute Führung von ca. 1.25 h, gute Wissensvermittlung, ohne dass es zuviel wurde. Ein Punkt Abzug, weil es die Sonderführungen wegen Corona nicht gibt. the people that run it do an excellent job protecting and preserving the place! however I really would have liked to see the upstairs, corridors, and parts of the L shaped buildings. we pretty much only saw the gardens and the main floor of the center building. our tour guide, Jen, was awesome though, super knowledgeable and sweet.

  • 5/5 Hannah G. 4 years ago on Google
Definitely worth a day out - there was so much here! Limited palace tours in English (full tour at 12, short tour at 3 when we went). The palace tour was very interesting - our guide was good. You do have to wear felt slippers and slide around the marble and wooden floors. (They are large enclosed toe type with no backs.) Photos without flash are allowed. The cafe was good but very busy. You can sit outside, which is nice on a sunny day. Cakes were yummy. There are also 2 museums: natural history and garden art. (There was also a sculpture exhibition which we didn't see.) These are entirely in German - if you can read German you could spend a long time here. We enjoyed seeing the pictures etc. anyway. The fairly large grounds are great for a stroll with different gardens and areas. The grounds are free, there is one cost for the palace and another ticket which includes the museums too. There is a discount if you have a Dusseldorf card. Plenty of toilets available in all the buildings, but not around the park.
