A very nice place in the middle of the old town of Düsseldorf. Here you can always find a few minutes of reflection and peace in the Saint Andreas Church, which was taken over by the Dominicans at 7:00 p.m. 72

The monastery church of St. Andreas is a very impressive baroque church in the city center of Düsseldorf. The stucco work, the altars and also the modern Hsup altar are well worth seeing. Very worth seeing and also a place of prayer.

Although it's not the oldest, it's certainly and by far the most beautiful church in Düsseldorf - even if you're not otherwise into the Baroque era. There are also really great sermons from the Dominicans, whose monastery church is St. Andreas, and every now and then very beautiful music from the choir of the same name.

Art-historical church worth seeing in Düsseldorf's old town. The mausoleum of Elector Jan Wellem is located in St. Andreas.

Despite its partial destruction in WW2, the Church of St. Andrew is a remarkable example of the early baroque in Northern Germany. The stucco work is mostly from the early 17th century by Johannes Kuhn from southern Germany. Its a clear transitional style between the Renaissance and the Baroque. But note the Rococo stucco work around the organ and the late Baroque sculptures of the Apostles. The surviving transitional design makes this church a unique example of the spread of new ideas and artistic expression in the lower Rhineland.

Although very modest outside, the interior of the church is beautiful and intricate. It is open for visitors and worshippers alike.

The bright yellow exterior of the little church was so stunning that attracted me from far. The interior was even prettier. It’s a baroque style with elegant sculptures in white and gold. On Sunday afternoon there was a free organ concert at 4pm. It lasted about 35 minutes. The pianist was excellent. Sitting there listening to the music, away from the heat and noise outside, it really felt as in Heaven.

One of must-visit churches in Dusseldorf, stunning artwork, not that huge like others in this area but and old one.

Christmas season in San Andreas. The white ornate ceiling and the white saintly figures of the apostles plus the golden touches, sets this Church apart. You'll be mesmerized how beautiful really the interior is and how distinctly quiet inside against the busy area where it is located. ❤

Visited it on 30 November the name day of St. Andrew. I find it a beautiful church with the sculptures so unique and beautiful. It was quite not alot of people were visiting so you get to enjoy the place to yourself. The seats make noise so Be careful when you try to sit as it may cause loud noise. The door may seem closed but walk closer and check. Be careful the inner door is wood and the outer door is glass, open slow if you spontaneously do it at the same time with someone else from the other side opening it can break.

Small pretty church right in the Altstadt. Went on a Saturday afternoon. They have volunteers that will give you some great information. Very friendly people. Make sure to go the back in the mausoleum. Flyer's in several languages just to your right inside the door.

Amazing experience I had yesterday visiting this church. The Pastor was cool and pay attention to every visitor there, actually only 40 people allow to enter with an appointment due to Corona.
