It is a fantastic vibrant place in Düsseldorf and you can literally feel it. The Zen garden, the temple all full of harmony! There are exhibitions and concert sometimes in the hall. Apparently in every season it is different constellations of blooming flowers that is why I came in Marx when the 🍒 trees were blooming. I will come there often, the entrance is for free and it is a great place if you want to get a confirmation with nature.

(Translated by Google) We visited the temple and the Japan House in the Eko House. The Japanhaus is definitely worth a visit just because there is no comparable type of interior design in Germany. Would have preferred to move in :-D The temple is very impressive if not that big. Entry costs just € 2.50 The large Japanese outdoor species is also beautifully laid out and invites you to linger. Everyone who is visiting Düsseldorf should definitely see the Eko House and the garden.

Very traditional japanese Buddhists temple. You can walk for free over the outside garden or pay a small fee to go inside of the temple and see also the recreation of a traditional japanese house. Must be wonderful in spring with all the cherry blossom trees.

OK sooo I really like Japanese culture and architecture. I wanted to see that up close and personal and I thought yeah it's perfect place let's go.... Unfortunately we were disappointed to the point that we couldn't believe that we paid for that 🤣 but anyways interior and whole experience was something that I would NOT recommend even if they pay to come and visit.... When you go outside it is a bit better because there traditional buildings and garden but jet again small "river/pond" for Koi fishes is empty there is no water and of course no fishes 😅 One more thing they have this policy about taking Photos that is really wierd and contradict itself 🤣 worker there told me that for privat use I can make photos but not post them online and I thought he meant for commercial use or so, but NOP he ment online in general and explanation why was that:"... well "SOMEONE COULD SEE THE PHOTOS"..... No S**** thats the point of photography.... SOMEONE TO SEE IT.... And I paid for it soo anyways this is just informative/news/documentary review so any photo that doesn't violates someone's personal life and deep privacy is allowed and I hope it will help them to understand that this is not what they have advertised and 101% not what I was expecting and what is presented through their "controlled marketing". There is this poster inside that says/illustrates that normal photographer/tourist/visitors are allowed to take photos but something like planed Photo Shoots with models and Weddings etc are not allowed (which is completely understandable and I support it).... I didn't read any reviews but I saw their photos and marketing materials and it was amazing until I went there personally 😂 soooo point is read others opinions and reviews DO NOT FALL for controlled marketing and presentations.... I struggle to take few photos to at least appreciate and show beautiful Japanese architecture and tradition because of poor presentation and experience in general.... I tried my best really....

Ccool place to learn about Japanese culture in Dusseldorf. It has a Buddhist temple, a Japanese garden and a traditional house with a tea room. You can try different activities like painting, calligraphy or flower arranging. The Eko Haus is a peaceful and beautiful spot in the city. The small park/area is really beautiful and makes u feel like u r in Japan

Small beautiful Japanese garden. Very clean and peaceful. The tea ceremony is rather stylization.

A very interesting place to visit in Düsseldorf! A nice place to experience the Japanese culture. The garden was amazing and the Buddhist Temple was very interesting. The Japanese House is worth a visit for sure and the exhibition gives a small taste of Japanese art. The staff was really helpful and courteous. A gem in the middle of a western city that is not to be missed. Totally recommended a visit to get a taste of the exquisite Japanese culture!

(Translated by Google) I love to go for a walk here, to relax and to look at the garden in its seasonal changes. Maybe, after Corona, I will dare to attend a prayer ceremony. Until now a kind of fear of the threshold has prevented me.

There's no water in park, but everything else was so beautiful. Little, but stunning. Temple is magnificent. Peaceful place.

Very peaceful place. Calm and soothing environment. It's pretty small but it gives an insight into how a temple is. You can visit and stay for a while take your mind off of things. It's nice. They only ask for your respect and silence since it's a place of worship.

As soon as I arrived at the temple grounds, I was struck by the beauty of the architecture and the peaceful atmosphere. It is also known for its beautiful gardens and natural surroundings. The temple makes a popular spot for visitors who want to experience the changing of the seasons. The temple is a must-see attraction for anyone who is interested in Japanese culture, history, or architecture in Düsseldorf. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings make it a truly memorable experience.

Very beautiful and peaceful place, as we were there, temple was closed during Easter holiday, but for garden it was open. Luckily to see all flower blossom

It's a nice little place. More interesting during cherry blossom season. Opening times are different than online: the garden itself is open mornings too, only the temple is closed.

A Buddhist temple, accompanied by a small museum with Japanese imagery. There's also a traditional Japanese house and beautiful Japanese garden.

Although the garden is not very large, the details and architecture are very beautiful. I give 4 stars because there are some structures such as a small river here that has no water.

Although the exhibit was closed, it was pleasant to stroll around in the gardens outside and look at magnificent Japanese buildings. Hopefully they'll expand the garden and add more buildings.

Very beautiful garden with accsess to a temple for a low entry ticket. The area is not that big but it gives you a great idea of the environment and characteristics of the Japanish cultural. Recommend a visit on a sunny day in Düsseldorf ;)

Nice place to visit! Lovely setup of the garden. Keep in mind the opening hours of it as it's only open a few hours during the week days. Relatively easy to reach either via bus or tram/subway with 5-10 minutes of walking time depending which solution you're taking. Can't provide pictures as it's not allowed to take some but the pictures available are accurate

Beautiful temple and gardens. Taking photos is not permitted, it is more a welcome break from city life. It is a very calm and relaxing garden. Unfortunately the temple itself is closed until the 17th so I couldn't enter but the garden was more than worth a visit as well.

(Translated by Google) You can enjoy the Japanese style garden slowly. The flow of time is slow and relaxing. The entrance is difficult to understand, and it may be unsatisfactory for those who are looking at many shrines and temples in Japan. (Translated by Google) It is interesting to see how a typical traditional house is furnished, but apart from these only the garden and an extremely meager gallery can be seen. The tour can be done in under half an hour. You can do that for 2.5 euros if you don't know anything comparable.
