Please note you will need €1 coins to buy food! You can bring your own vegetables and fruit for the animals, but I can assure you that none of the animals like carrots. Many people brought carrots, but the deer refused to eat the carrots but liked fresh apples and the food pellets from the €1 food dispenser. This is a great place to see deer up close. The other animals (racoons, squirrels, foxes, wild pigs) seem to hide a lot. And it's free to enter the park!

Wald Wildpark in Grafenberg offers a refreshing escape for families in Düsseldorf and the region, Lots of paths, majestic animals, provides good infrastructure for an outside lunch too. The deers are very well used to humans allowing visitors to connect with the nature! Ideal for families and nature enthusiasts.

Awesome place, nice to walk around on a lazy day and see the animals. You can also take carrots or apples, or buy food at the vending machines there to feed some of the animals. Perfect to go with children, but also nice to go with friends, your partner or even alone to spend some quality time outdoors.

My most favourite place is when I want to be close to nature. No entry ticket, huge free parking place, good walk through the nature, some wild animals - everything you want in a wild park. It's a great place to be during weekends and for whole family.

(Translated by Google) A very nicely situated park with very well-kept paths. The game enclosures for roe deer and fallow deer are accessible. The animals like to be fed and are not very shy! There are also enclosures for foxes, polecats and wild cats, we couldn't see any animals here! Squirrels live in the whole park, found young animals are raised in a reintroduction enclosure. Numerous benches and seating as well as a playground invite you to linger.

The wild park is located near the Wald and the entrance is free. People visit mostly with their families and kids. There are a variety of animals in the park and you can feed them. Also there are seats and tables for eating. Nice place, full of peace . ♥️

Fantastic park to take kids or just for a different date idea. Take carrots for the deer, they’ll appreciate it. You have as well machines to buy seeds to feed the animals with for 1€ a cup.

It was a nice experience, it was less crowdy between 2-5 on weekend. The narrow road from main bus/tram stop is a bit rough for prams, and its a slight steep. Only the deer are without barricades and it was so fun to see them being cuddled by everyone. My baby had a real fun experience. They grain kind of food available there was not so welcoming by the animals. They loved apples and carrots but make sure they are cut. I thought they would eat the whole like cows do but they ditched the carrots and apples I offered..lol.. No entry fees, no cafe (at least I didn't see any) or anything such around except ice cream truck. Washroom is available I guess.

A very nice park with gazelles (?), squirrels, raccoons. We went on Sunday, it was raining and not busy. The entrance is free. It's a nice, peaceful place to go for a walk. Some animals were sleeping and we didn't see them.

Park closes ag 7 pm. Entry is free. Overall the atmosphere is peaceful and green. A few species of animals which is interesting for photographers and also for kids. 2 to 3 hours are enough to explore the park fully.

Wonderful place and must go on list when visiting Dusseldorf, Germany. Best place to go with kids and spend 4-5 hours in control wild environment. You can take your own food and sit in trees and enjoy along with beautiful animals. I will also suggest to take carrots and some other food which you can feed to animals. Also having a walk in the trees and listening to bird voices and water will make you relax. Kids upto age 10 will enjoy ot more and a wonderful place to show them jungle environment. 10/10.

I had a very enjoyable time at wildpark, it’s nice to interact with them - you can carry some fruits and vegetables to feed them. The baby deers are loose in a big space and are harmless.

I had such a wonderful time there! This is the place where you can spot a lot of wild animals and even feed a deer from your hands! You can bring some vegetables with you but there’s also machines where it’s possible to buy a cup of food pellets for just 1€. The entrance is free, all the paths are wheelchair accessible. There’s a lot of places for rest, a few children playgrounds and a public bathroom.

For walking in forest and being around animals it’s very good place for friends and families. It’s very chill area. You can choose to come with car, or come with S-Bahn and take a fresh walk in forest to the Wildpark. Always willing to come back ❤️❤️

Free parking, free entrance. Great for an outing with small children. Food cups are €1 each. There are several fenced in areas for larger deer and wild pigs, and then a large area you can walk through with free range deer. Ice cream truck in the parking lot made for a great end treat. I recommend bringing bug spray and hand sanitizer. The mosquitoes were terrible today.

It was really nice!!! Not only for the little ones, but also for adults. There are spots you can buy special animal food to feed the animals, and the children love it. There are also spots where you can relax or have some snacks. It takes some effort with the stroller when you approacht the animal areas, but it's doable, as the main routes are out of asphalt. There were 2 trucks to buy ice cream. What I missed is maybe a guard, or a person to check on the animals, cause a lot of people were feeding them their own food, when you are not supposed to give them whatever you want, it's a given! Other than that, it was great, you can be very close to the animals and narure! I recommend it

Amazing experience for the kids. The animals are friendly and there's ample space to sit, have tea and relax. There was also a nice play ground for the children plus an activity area opposite the playground. If you're planning to feed the deers then I would recommend that you take apples instead of carrots. Also they have vending machines for the animal food but we noticed that the animals prefer fruits over anything else

The walk there is confusing but overall a nice experience. Take the small pathway next to the car road that goes up hill. Just keep walking up for around 8-10 mins. Going inside the park is free and pellets for the animals are 1€. But the animals enjoy apples and vegetables better than the pellets. Maybe it is due to the changing season, but some of the deer had some patches of fur missing. I don't know if it's of concern or not, but I thought I should point it out.

I have spent many months in Düsseldorf and now I just barely discovered this amazing wild life park. It is free entrance and amazing! Here you can bring food (like carrots) to feed the animals or for a €1 you can buy some pellets to feed to the animals. Unfortunately when I was there the animals weren’t interested in being fed and were staying far away from the fence. They also have a center that you can visit to learn more about the animals as well as they had some arts and crafts for the kids.

  • 4/5 Marleen R. 3 years ago on Google
Very pretty park with some wild animals in big and mostly natural enclosures. The park has several vending machines with food for the animals. You can also bring your own food that is specified on the signs and on the website. We decided to get food from the vending machines, but most animals did not seem interested in it. They got way more excited about the fresh food that other guests brought. So, if you want to feed the animals there, make sure to bring your own food! Apples and peanuts seemed to be favourites.

  • 3/5 Rabab A. 3 years ago on Google

This is a great spot, just outside of the city! Located in a beautiful wooded area, with restrooms, an information point, drinking water stations and a cafe (or plenty of benches if you bring your own food). There are plenty of animals to see, and getting to meet the deer up close is an unforgettable experience.

I like this park because there are a lot of interesting things to see. Wild pigs to reindeer, which the children can feed. There is an Educational centre for older school children , but I think it's only open Monday to Friday. There are also small animal to see like Badgers and racoons. However I would like to see signs that tell you what NOT to feed the animal.

Lovely and well maintained park. Amazingly it is free of charge. Loads of families with small children. Animals can be fed with carrots or apples or you can buy some food for 1 Euro. We just have not allowed enough time unfortunately.

A pretty wild park where you can spend a whole afternoon or evening. They have many animals, deers, fox and more, so you can just take a nice stroll around the park and observe the animals, may be even feed them. The authorities have placed food for the animals that you can buy from vending machines, a cup of food costs 1€. If you like spending time in nature, you'll love this. Kids also will have a great time. Surprising destination in the middle of the city.

For those who are used to viewing animals only inside a cage, this place is a treat. Quite a big area to encompass, this wildpark is home to Deer, Wildpigs, bees, squirrels, wild cats etc. Deer literally walk alongside, with you! It's great to view the animals so up-close. You can buy füttern from the vending machines kept over there to feed the animals. (See pictures attached). All in all, if you want to spend a good 3-4 hours with your squad, or even alone & you're an animal lover, the Wildpark Grafenberg Wald should be in your list. P.S.: One or two areas can be closed due to maintenance or other reasons.

Completely worth the drive just few km outside the city centre of Dusseldorf to visit this great environment, full of Nature and Animals. Very well kept.

A very nice park with free entrance in the middle of the forest. There are deer, bambi's, wild cats, wild swines and a few other animals. The park is well maintained and is a great place to go for a morning or afternoon walk. You can take apples and carrots from home to feed some of the animals or buy some food for a small fee along the roads in the park. There is also a toilet halfway the park (coming from the main entrance/parking lot).

Great place to spend your day , especially on a Sunday when everything else is closed in Germany:) absolutely to visit with younger kids.. not many animals but nice pathways to have a walk, small play area for kids, washroom is available , you can feed the animams but you have to buy the food from the machine and that is one euro . parking was very busy and tricky but for free ;)

Very nice place to hang out with your loved ones. You can picnic, children can play in the play area. We saw deer and wild boars. The place is huge, we couldn't finish in one day. Looking forward to visiting many times.

Great place in the Grafenberger Wald. Stroll around, feed the animals - a delight for all ages (just respect the feeding recommendations and rules). Lovely slso for kids- safe, awesome playgrounds - they even have an open-air clasroom. Has good alleys for strollers too. Was living across the street and was happy to have so much nature around. Neighbouring a golf course, a racecourse and the lovely Kastanjenallee.

Beautiful 🤩 kids playground, nice car parking areas With a size of 36 hectares, the wildlife park in the Grafenberg Forest is one of the larger parks in Düsseldorf. It is one of the oldest wildlife parks in Germany and only shows native animal species. A more than 200-year-old beech forest is located around the free-roaming areas and enclosures for the animals. Good maintenance!

Free entrance. A lot of animals, well kept en fed. Your can buy animal food there and feed them. A lor of raindeers there, who walk freely and can come close. They're really friendly. There's a big playground for kids and also good toilets. Great place! We loved it!!!

Very nice place and cool tamed animals, I just wish that there was a place for snacks. No tickets required.

Toller Wildpark!
