Definitely a great museum, the arts are great but it might be a little crowded in the weekends.

Beautiful museum. We visited the museum for the Christo & Jeanne-Claude exhibition, and we enjoyed everything. The curation and organization of the exhibition, the staff, the different facilities, and the cafe.

Two very short exhibits, very disappointing for the price we paid, we were done after 1h. Especially the Refik anadol exhibit was upsettingly short with just 3 installations, none of them reaching the scale of what we've seen of him in new York our elsewhere... Won't come back.

Very square and tidy white building. We saw two great exhibitions - Mehr Licht - old and traditional, and Refik Anadol - new and digital. A good contrast, yet they both had some similar themes. It was €12 each which is a bit steep I think. I'm used to art being free to look at. The coffee shop has tasty if expensive food and pleasant staff. The shop has a lot of cool things too but mostly out of my price range. Very nice to look at!

Don't waste 12 Eur. Main exhibit closed. Special exhibits include "ai art" (which you can see on the internet free or make yourself - even better) and a small set of classic landscapes by various 3-rd rate artists of 17-19th centuries (worthy of any provincial apartment guestroom). Museum store is the closest they have to real art.

Don't waste your time. The permanent museum exhibits are closed for renovation; only two small areas are open with contemporary exhibits are available. They don't tell you this when they sell tickets. The cafe is barely operational. The website is not updated to indicate this. It's a schwindel, as one of the German reviews notes.

Museum Kunstpalast is one of the prime art museums in Dusseldorf. The permanent exhibition as well as the temporary exhibitions are worth a visit. Parts of the complex are currently under renovation. The pictures are from my visit for White Night 2023. It is good destination all year round.

The German National Art Exhibition took place here until October 20, 1902. Today the Museum Kunstpalast is housed in its rooms. Great experience! We did the permanent exhibition: 5€ (only 😀) and we had access to an amazing gallery full of great artists from various periods! Consider spending at least 2 hours on site. Lockers available for your personal belongings. I strongly recommend it! 🤙

I have only seen good works of art here. Each and every time it’s been inspiring. The curators put a lot of work in these exhibits! Could I get E-Mail notifications for the new or the upcoming exhibits? Well done

Fairly interesting exhibition (Christo), with explanations in English. However, the price is quite steep for such a small exhibition, and the other rooms were all closed.

Been there for Refik Anadol’s machine imaginations. Your contentment depends on what you expect. Considering the entrance fee, I find museums in Germany meaninglessly expensive (21€ for adult ticket)🤷🏻‍♀️or you should wait nacht der museum and visit whole museums with one ticket. overall Anadol’s hallucination was soothing in a way and enjoyed it The collection on the first floor is like a time travel between centuries.

Incredible art gallery with a masterfully curated collection of art. I loved the juxtaposition of old classic art beside more modern and abstract pieces. Overall, a pleasant and enjoyable art-viewing experience in a beautifully renovated building.

Although we came for the Tod Und Teufel exhibition, we were very impressed with the works of Cornelius Völker. Beautiful and intense, wonderfully visceral textures and vivid brush work. Highly evocative pictures. If you visit the Kunstpalast for Tod Und Teufel (and you definitely should), do not skip CV's exhibition.

It's enormous museum, you should go there well rested, the price 16€, you will see the paints of Vasili kandinsky, Andy Warhol, prints of René Magritte and a couple of sculpture of Rodin. It's worth to see.

Very beautiful place! on the way to the Kunstpalast are absolutely beautiful flowers and once you're inside it looks rather modern compared to the outside. The Art exhibition we went to was "Tod und Teufel (Death and The Devil)" and it was definitely an interesting experience. Ranging from fashion to music to greek mythology and taking death with a bit of humor. If you are a fan of a bit more gruesome, gorey and out of the box art i can recommend Death and The Devil. Personally i didn't think it was very scary but very interesting to see how different artists express death. 👍

  • 5/5 Seb C. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing place, for some reason it was free when I went although it says it's €14 online, not complaining though. Staff were friendly and there was an insane amount of art, I spent a good 2.5 hours in there, would highly recommend for a good day activity if you're into art.

  • 1/5 Vincent D. 4 years ago on Google
Total maze. Staff was unable/unwilling to explain the ticketing system for the different sections of the museum properly. After some back-and-forth between entrances across the courtyard, being turned away rudely by security guards for having ‘the wrong colour bracelet’ and no help from the ticket counter, I left frustrated.

  • 4/5 Michel L. 4 years ago on Google
Nice 15-1800 collection. The glass collection was rather disappointing. Not a lot of items I really liked. Also, the way you have to go is rather confusing. (A door that says "Samlung", but it actually went to a temporary exhibition that requires a special ticket. And then something that said "Blau-gruner ring", I couldn't work out if that was just the name of what is was, or that is was the color armband that you needed to have access. So I didn't go in)

  • 5/5 O S. 4 years ago on Google
Very interesting museum with lot of things to be seen. Besides the glass museum there are several interesting sculptures and paintings. It took me about two hours and a half for the whole tour.

(Translated by Google) The Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf may live up to its name only to a limited extent (the palace is a bit exaggerated ;-)), but it is a museum building close to the Rhine that offers space for a wide range of exhibitions. Especially in the current time, it pleases that the staff is very attentive and is always helpful with questions. In addition, the rooms as a whole are pleasantly airy and wide, so that visitors to the exhibitions have enough space, but can also take their time with the exhibits. The exhibitions I visited were both well designed and offered varied exhibits, and I thought it was great that the audio guide for the Angelika Kauffmann exhibition was also inspiring with a lot of information that was well presented. All in all, I felt completely at ease in the exhibitions, had the feeling of being informed, but also being entertained. The cleanliness in the building is excellent, the paths are clearly signposted, only the museum shop could use more space, especially since it is not mandatory to ensure that the maximum number of people in the shop is kept. Overall, however, a really great art museum with varied and informative exhibitions and the ambience for an all-round successful visit.

(Translated by Google) One of the top addresses for art in Düsseldorf! Close to the Rhine and Hofgarten. Right next door to another museum! On-site parking. Concerts, happenings, events, garden restaurant outside in summer. Permanent and temporary exhibitions such as Peter Lindbergh. There is also a museum shop and a small café on the upper floor. Modern building with elevator, toilet, cloakroom and lockers (for bags etc.). fully handicapped accessible. I highly recommend the Peter Lindbergh exhibition. (Translated by Google) Visited last week. Summary: well signposted, but no parking spaces directly on site, you can park at the lower Rheinwerft shipyard, or a little further in the Altstadt car park or just search a little longer in side streets ... The exhibition itself was great. (Peter Lindbergh). Before that, it is not so easy to go to the toilet, because it is 2 stairs below and it is not easy to get back to your group (because of Corona), because directions have to be observed. You cannot just look in the art shop because you are kindly advised to wait (max 8 pers). Even as a small group, you shouldn't be standing in the aisle because of Corona ... well, it was a little annoying ... the Fortuna boy opposite invited you to go out for sausage and beer. The Kunstpalast is definitely worth a visit. There are very nice and interesting special exhibitions. (Original) Letzte Woche besucht.

(Translated by Google) Visit to the Peter Lindberg exhibition Unfortunately, we were unable to fully enjoy the exhibited pictures, as incoming sunlight was very strongly reflected in the glasses of the photos. Images also hung so high that viewing from the bottom without reflection from the sun and artificial light was not possible! In addition, further information on the creation of the photos was missing. B. it was a fashion spread or a special order - which led to the depicted scenes etc. The visitor often did not find the right distance and undisguised positions to enjoy the strength of the pictures. After only 20 minutes we were disappointed and by 25 € poorer on the car again! Unfortunately, no visual experience! Leider kein visuelles Erlebnis!

As well as it contains the archeology section, the glassy section and other sections and the second most important section is the art department the famous German painters section and sections for paintings An old photographer belonging to some royal families in ancient times .. I've been a couple of times in this museum and it's a new experience every time. It has a lot of changing exhibitions and the permanent part of the museum is huge. As it is an art museum, it is not very interactive, but it shows you a lot of different kinds of art. It's definitely worth it to visit. The only problem: it's pretty expensive if you're not a student or under 18. Also bring a lot of time with you, because it takes much to explore the whole museum, but it's a good investment of time!

(Translated by Google) The Kunstpalast itself is a great building with a café and a small shop. The exhibition was very well attended on a Sunday at noon, probably a little too "full" for Corona circumstances (visitors are counted in the exhibition rooms by clicking). Not necessarily recommended if you feel uncomfortable, if the distance cannot always be kept. Tickets with certain admission time slots can be purchased in advance - then you can get in without any problems; Visitors without a ticket in advance had to queue.

I visited Peter Lindberg exhibition. Amazing! The problem was the people who worked at the museum. No one told where to go to the exhibition. No signs. We spent 10 min going up and down the stairs. The waiter at the cafe was rude.

At the moment there is only one exhibition to see, concerning a comparison of barocke and the post-war art. The exhibition is not very big and not every artist was quite appealing to me, though I got to know Gottfried Graubner and Otto Piene, whose artworks highly impressed me. In conclusion, it is not a museum to stay and to get impressed for a longer while, but it is worth seeing anyway. I hope that a second exhibition will open soon ;)

Went to see the Captivate and Electro exhibitions. Really terrific and I think very reasonably priced considering the caliber. Exterior is a bit ugly right now due to construction and I think they could have limited how many ppl were in the electro show a little more as it was hard to get in there and see everything but overall great space and worth the visit!

This is a review for Captivate exhibition curated by Claudia Schiffer A nicely put exhibition highlight the life and fashion at the high time of supermodels and fashion photographers. Once there used to be supermodels and great photographers back then, now, however, where everyone want to be models and their own photographer. I really enjoyed it esp to be able to read and understand each of famous photographers back then ie Herb Ritts, Bruce Webet, Mario Testino, Meisel and of cos the great Peter lindbergh etc. Each of them are so unique in presenting their arts. Definitely recommend this. 👏👏👏

Nice museum to visit. The temporary collection from Pia Fries was not for me. You have art and you have art, but to me these looked like a kindergarden project. Luckily things got better with the main collection. There are elavators, restrooms, a café, lockers and a gift shop. You can not bring your backpack with you, these need to go in a locker. You can take pictures in the museum. Do not stand too close to the art or the security will get a heart-attack. They will follow you around, there is not much to do I guess. In each corner is a camera pointing at you, but that is not enough. I expect this in the Louvre or something, so they are overprotective over here. With nice weather you can take a sit on a beach chair around the fountain in the courdyard, like in Paris.

A not-so-hidden, but definitely lesser known gem in Düsseldorf. Really good collection of art and artefacts from the 11-20th centuries, mostly European. They have some interesting exhibitions too from time to time, such as the recent one on Islamic calligraphy. The glass museum is interesting too.

Really cool museum even though parts are closed for renovations there was still plenty to see. Specifically the Horror theme was very interesting. The price is very reasonable $12 Euro for adults and under 18 are free.

The art work was well presented but not to our liking, but that is a purely subjective opinion. The main problem was the lack of information and cohesion from the 'guards' on the entrances to each exhibit hall. Our coats had to be worn, not carried. In one hall I had to carry my handbag, (a small rucksack style) in another I had to wear it on the front of my body, which just didn't work. So officious, with no logical explanation for any of this. While I don't speak German, my husband does, so language wasn't the problem. So unnecessary to spoil our day like this and we had to pay 23€ for the pleasure.

The best food in UAE I tried so far, with real good quality ingredients. The atmosphere is unique and pleasant. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. The combination between Italian and Tunisian cuisine brings the best of both cultures. I highly recommend 100% to give it a try.😃
