We were staying in Waterbury and wanted to try something nearby. We decided to try Prohibition Pig (very strange name I must admit). The main reason I went to this place is because I saw they serve pork ribs and I wanted to try that for a change. The place was fairly busy during our visit but we were served quickly. For drinks, I tried their German beer (forgot the name) but it tasted great. I ordered half rack of ribs. It was just right for me even though I was hungry. My son ordered Poutine which was also delicious but the serving size was too much for him. He could not finish it and ended up packing the rest for take away. For great beer (and drinks) plus good food, this is highly recommended.

Phenomenal meal, cocktail, ambiance and service! I was staying in Burlington for work and decided to venture out to try this place and I’m so glad I did! I had the brisket and it literally melted in my mouth. Very nice selection of whiskey also 🥃👌🏼 I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We love Prohibition Pig. Best BBQ in Northern Vermont. Do not leave before you get the hush puppies. Super nice staff. Celia the bartender is great. Are only request is to add a veggie burger! ( but we guess it might off brand!)

I thought this place was excellent. It was busy even on a Monday, which really says something. I ate the house burger, and man it was really good. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The cheese was so gooey and the bun was nice and crispy. The duck fries are soooo good. They were nicely salted, crispy, and paired well with the mayo and ketchup. The beers were great; so refreshing with nice subtle flavors. Me and my S/O got the Kellerbier, Vanilla Bean Porter, and the “Don’t Hassle Me I’m Local (this one was our favorite). I actually first ordered the Whole Hog dish. It was essentially pulled pork. I wasn’t a fan of it at all, so much that I asked a waiter if I could replace it with something else. Celia, along with her coworkers, were very accommodating and were more than happy to let me order the house burger instead. You definitely should stop by if you’re in Waterbury. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful New years evening dinner and drinks. Everything about this place was delightful. The atmosphere, the service, the drinks, and the food blew our minds. I highly recommend the wings, Mac and cheese topped, and homemade ice cream! 😋I can't wait to drive 2.5 hours to come back. It's absolutely worth it!

Tender, fall-apart, melt in your mouth meats with a good selection of sides. Juicy house brewed beers, delicious cocktails, plus a robust back bar selection. Our server was friendly and attentive. A must visit when in Waterbury. Great vibes.

Pro Pig is worth the visit! We had 8 in our group and ordered two "Buy the Farm" meals, see attached picture. The meal came with a couple bottles of bbq sauces and a vinegar bbq sauce. The food was excellent, the drinks were cold, and they had something on the menus for everyone. Great place to hang out!

Great burger, fast service. One of the places to eat around town. After a long day of hiking in the woods, that burger was exactly what I needed to hit the spot, cause you know what they say: a burger is good after a hike! Bout to go home now and play some disc.

What else can be said about the pig. I have been traveling all over the country, visiting new towns and always looking for good bbq or just good food and atmosphere. Pro Pig has literally redefined what we all know as good bbq and food. It is astonishing that you can taste all the care and passion that is put into every plate here…and to make things worse (better), the service is impeccable. Make sure to reserve a spot in line (look above this review of a link) because it does get busy. The pig is alive and well in Vermont, and Pro Pig is the barn that keeps these pigs happy…including their customers.

Stopped here on Friday this past weekend. We had a wait to get in the restaurant but there was a wait every where else as well. I could smell the food from outside. The drinks were cold and delicious. The food was hot and very tasty. We had the pork ribs and hot sausage as entrees, the ribs were very delicious and didn’t need any sauce on them. The nachos which were served with brisket were very flavorful as well, we had that as an appetizer. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

After a rather disappointing day in Waterbury, we decided to give Pro-Pig a shot, we opted to sit at the bar to avoid a wait and had delicious seltzers. The Bartender took his time to explain specials and items not available. I had the ribs, boyfriend had the pastrami sandwich both 10/10!!

This place made several lists for "The Best Burger in Vermont" and they did not disappoint! It was absolutely amazing and instantly made my top 10. We came all the way from Texas with the intent of eating this burger! My wife, however, opted for the brisket nachos and they were phenomenal as well. The Duck Fat Fries were spectacular. They were hot, crispy, and fresh. I will definitely be returning!

This place is great! First time coming here, and I'm gonna be going back for sure. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were super nice and welcoming. I ordered the pro pig burger, and it was delicious 😋 I couldn't believe how thick those bacon slices were. The french fries on the side were fried in duck fat, and they were super crunchy and good. So tender and juicy, great flavor. Good beers on tap, too 👍

4.29.23 The restaurant is in one building and the brewery is next door. Both serve Grub and Brews but different menus. Be prepared to wait to be seated in the restaurant. We had to pay for parking too. But if you want a unique experience with great food and drinks, definitely stop by.

Really fantastic experience the entire way through. If you’re planning to come, BE PREPARED TO WAIT! But it is WORTH THE WAIT. I’d recommend coming a little before you’re ready to eat, you can go get a drink in the brewery behind and also shop at the craft beer store across the street. Cocktails are great and big beer and wine selection. Definitely finish the meal with housemate limoncello. We got A LOT of food and all of it was delicious. Top 5 of what we got: 1. Chicken Wings - I think we ate these too quick to get a photo. They were dry rubbed and so so tender and flavorful. Very crispy. 2. Roasted carrots - they tasted like they were smoked and had a subtle but delicious maple glaze. 3. Pickle Plate - beets 11/10 4. Baked Beans - warms your entire insides. 5. Duck fat fries - perfectly crisp HONORABLE MENTION - the ranch is one of the best I’ve ever had and the garlic aioli that came with the fries. The staff was super friendly and quick. They were knowledgeable about allergies and tons of gluten free options available.

Drove all the way from Montreal to get the famous Mac N Cheese. The customs officer told us it was its favorite restaurant, so our bar was high. It ended up being SO GOOD. We ordered 3 meal to share, drinks, fries and an appetizer. It was deliciouuussss. We highly recommend. Make sure to come during diner hour, after 4pm. Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious! I had experienced a let down at Blue Bird the day before so it was great to have had the opportunity to come here. Everything pictured was top notch. I also had an order of the duck fat fries which were also fantastic. Great vibe, quick service, and somewhere you should try if you’re in the area

Everything was great and ordering was a breeze 👍 The nachos were adored by my son as well as the rest of my family. Food and drinks were delivered quickly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. Merchandise was very cool, but a little expensive. Patio is pup-friendly. Beer is delish!

Was planning to dine at the Pro Pig but didn’t expect a 45 minute wait on a Monday night in late October so went to the brewery/pub instead. The beer was ok, but not great IMO. I had the American Lager and Belgium Ale. The pours were small, maybe 8 oz each. The food was tasty but the portions were tiny. More like tapas than a meal. Expect to order multiple dishes to satisfy if you’re hungry.

The brewery was fantastic! The tacos are delicious and the platos was super tasty! The brisket tacos were on point and the vinegar based hot sauces make for a great complement. The carnitas tacos were tasty as well but that brisket taco... I want 2 more just writing this! Great service, great atmosphere. Definitely the place to go for lunch when you are in Stowe. Can't wait to try the restaurant for dinner next time I'm up at Stowe. I will wear my pig 🐖 hat with pride!

Arrived and there was a line already forming 3 minutes prior to open. Food did not disappoint! Some of the best pork I've had in my life. Great cocktails, good beer, and wonderful staff. Spoke to one of the owners at the brewery and she was awesome. Can't wait to come back

Good spot in Waterbury. Some of the best smoked meat I have had. Brisket was on point and the pork was delicious. Get the Mac and Cheese. That shiz was the bomb! Cheddar was so velvety smooth. The staff was super nice and very friendly, they gave some great recommendations on what cheese to get while visiting the Cabot cheese shop. Two thumbs up from me!
