Havent been in the shop, but have been on the website. Seems expensive. I've now been in the shop. Best you set a budget before entering, as there are many many precious things youve never had, but now can't live without. I spent over an hour in there. Luckily I'm a poor penniless crafter/amature artist. Best hour I've spent in a while. Pic of que was taken Sunday morning 11am just before they opened the doors, but all were let in as it's quite a big place(easy to socially distance)When I left there were about 3 or 4 waiting. So be prepared to que.

Crafters Paradise! I have never lived close to a Hobbycraft store, before so this was my 1st experience and I absolutely loved. Whatever your hobby, whatever your crafty business idea, they not only carry the supplies for it, they also stock the packaging and the labels to make it really look professional. And if that is not enough, they do classes in this shop, booked online. Some of the classes run at lunch time and some are for kids during half term. Just check out all the photos that l took.

Good range of products, found what we were looking for. Mother in wheelchair and not at all disabled-friendly. Aisles blocked. Stuff piled at ends of gondolas. Stuff put in front of the tills, mother could not reach. All tills way too high for a wheelchair customer. Not a pleasant shopping experience for anyone in a wheelchair.

Lost in the Labyrinth of Creativity: A Hobbycraft Tale Embarking on a Hobbycraft journey is akin to slipping down a rabbit hole into a wonderland of artistic possibility. As soon as you cross the threshold, you are immediately embraced by a rainbow of colors from every corner, making you wonder if you've stepped into a Pixar movie. Here, yarns of every conceivable hue beckon you from one aisle, promising that yes, you can indeed take up knitting, while another aisle tempts you with enough beads to make Mardi Gras look modest. And the paper craft section? An origami paradise, packed with more decorative paper than a giant piñata. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to be part wizard, part artist, and part telepath, intuitively guiding you to that elusive mod podge or the perfect shade of watercolor paint. You can come in for a simple set of knitting needles, and walk out with a new passion for decoupage, such is the Hobbycraft effect. The store whispers to your inner DIY enthusiast that yes, you do need to start that scrapbooking project, and why not try your hand at candle making while you're at it? But remember to keep an eye on the clock, or you may find yourself wandering the aisles until closing time, cradling a model airplane kit and debating between shades of felt. The only pitfall? It's like trying to buy just one book in a library. A trip to Hobbycraft may start as a quick run for glue sticks, but beware, as it can quickly evolve into a trolley-full escapade into the world of arts and crafts. Enter at your own risk, but I guarantee, you'll leave more inspired than ever.

Love coming to this shop for Mt threads. Staff are always chatty and helping. The girl on the checkout at my last visit, 7th September, was a pleasure to be served by ☺

Good selection, very reasonable prices. Not sure why the three different brands of acrylic paints are on three completely different shelves, so you don't realise you have more choice until you browse the rest of the store!

One of those shops where it is physically impossible to leave empty handed! A must for crafters from beginner to expert. Always find what I need. The store has two floors and there is a lift if that is needed. Knowledgeable and helpful staff

They have no idea about crafting! Hi, have you any Ruff and Buff? , twi if them, "what's that"? A kind of paint, wax for gilding picture frames! "Doh, I dunno ...

The store is a good example of the chain. The selection caters for the bulk of most everyday crafting hobbies. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about what they stocked.

Very courteous and helpful staff without being overbearing. A big layout, although seemingly lacking a few of the more niche items I would have expected.

Not to busy when we were there. Sale on some item's. Could not find what we need asked a member of staff then said don't do it any more

  • 3/5 Poppie E. 1 year ago on Google
It was okay, quiet and never seen it busy it's just the prices that made it 'ok' instead of 'loved it'

Fine. A bit dark inside. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Usual high prices, but great selection

Always find what i need for my handcraft. Sometimes prices are lower when buying online. Worth to check. But it is a shame that physical shops are going to disappear if continuous like this. I like this shop, i get a lot of ideas to keep on with my hobbies. It is very well located, lot of parking and convenient opening hours

It's not the cheapest craft place and you can't always find what you want but the staff are nice and there is parking. No lift to the 2nd floor I believe

  • 4/5 Beryl F. 2 years ago on Google
Lots of varieties of crafts. Good things for children or gifts for adults. Good prices. Christmas stuff already in. Staff very thin on the ground so no one to ask where a certain item was. One person manning the till was very friendly and helpful.

Stock seemed low on the day we went shopping - but managed to get almost everything we needed. Lighting very dim for some reason.

Very organised clean store ..everything perfectly in its place ..girl on till unfortunately didn't have a clue where what I was looking for was as she was first point of contact when entering store I did ask ? So I dropped a star for the staff lack of knowledge upstairs was very organised finally found another member of staff took me straight to it a man very helpful great store didn't really have everything looking for as on website but they have enough. Would recommend only gripe is lack of staff as when I went to pay the man on floor then had to serve on till but overall one of the better layer out stores and would return

This store is my go-to place on Saturday mornings when I have a quiet child-free couple of hours. I can hand pick products that stimulate creativity and imagination for my kids and myself alike.

  • 5/5 Katie J. 2 years ago on Google
Huge variety of craft items, staff were friendly and helpful, there’s so much to choose from, you get what you came for and also end up taking up a new craft as everything there is so tempting. Disabled access was good, social distancing etc was all in order as expected. Will definitely be going there again in the future!

Has just about anything hobby related and lots of good offers. Really good for any kind of art supplies. Not worth driving all over to search for things elsewhere to save a few pennies, just go straight here and they have it.
