I
heard
about
Jasmine
deli
on
my
search
for
banh
mi
restaurants.
I
tried
to
come
here
over
the
pandemic
but
it
was
closed.
Then,
my
roommate
told
me
it
was
open
again!
My
partner
and
I
are
banh
mi
fanatics.
He
has
never
been
here
before,
so
I
took
him
here
on
a
surprise
date.
The
restaurant
is
on
eat
street
and
is
attached
to
Icehouse.
It’s
small
and
humble
inside
and
shared
its
location
with
kung
fu
tea.
There
was
a
friendly
environment
in
the
restaurant
and
many
young
people
socializing
and
drinking
boba
tea.
The
employees
were
very
friendly
and
asked
us
if
we
were
there
for
food
(vs
boba,
which
it
seems
like
a
lot
of
people
were
there
for).
We
said
yes,
he
gave
us
a
menu,
and
then
told
us
that
they
were
out
of
banh
mi!
We
were
thinking
of
going
elsewhere,
but
decided
to
give
it
a
try
anyways,
and
we
were
not
disappointed!
We
ordered
the
vegan
noodle
soup,
the
tofu
vermicelli
salad,
and
tamarind
tofu
as
a
starter.
The
vegan
noodle
soup
was
excellent.
The
broth
was
well
balanced,
the
veggies
were
fresh,
and
the
tofu
was
crispy
and
flavorful.
I
did
wish
they
had
had
the
hand
pulled
noodles
that
were
listed
on
the
menu,
but
the
rice
noodles
were
good
too.
The
salad
was
delicious,
especially
the
vinaigrette.
The
tofu
was
well
seasoned
and
fried.
The
flavors
were
just
right!
Finally,
the
tamarind
tofu.
This
came
out
last,
but
this
was
fine
with
us
because
it
was
freshly
fried.
The
sauce
was
sharp
and
tangy.
Would
recommend,
but
the
portion
is
a
little
small.
The
restaurant
is
very
affordable,
and
the
ambiance
outside
is
great
as
well.
Definitely
come
here!
Also,
I
found
my
doppelgänger
here.
