After an incredible weekend staying in one of the Loft rooms at the Paramount House Hotel, it’s safe to say that I’m obsessed with this hotel and will definitely be back! As soon as you walk into the lobby, the vibe of the hotel is incredibly cool and stylish yet welcoming. The vending machine in the lobby is so fun and every detail of the hotel has been well thought out with chic design details. The Loft room was spacious, luxurious and well designed, and the bathtub was a real highlight. Plus, the bed was so incredibly comfortable with the cosiest pillows and bedding. I found the room to be quite dark but fortunately we were on the top floor so our room had a skylight which brightened the space a little. I also loved the Paramount Coffee Project and Golden Age Cinema which are in the same complex. The area is beautiful, a quiet and relaxing neighbourhood in Surry Hills and is only a few minutes away from public transport. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and already can’t wait to come back and stay again!

I had the most beautiful 4 nights at the Paramount, cannot recommend highly enough. The place itself is so beautifully styled, the food and coffee is incredible and the whole team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. This will absolutely be the place I stay every time I come to Sydney, I literally want to move in. Thank you so much.

A beautiful space & wonderful customer service. After being left stranded in Sydney & having a fairly shocking experience at the airport we were very lucky that we could rest for the night at Paramount. The rooms are well appointed with beautiful furniture & accessories. More importantly the bed was crazy comfortable & bedding from Cultiver was lush. Harry at reception took such good care of us & honestly the hospitality was top notch! If you have an eye for design, want friendly service & a comfortable night this is the spot!

Just checked out of the hotel today. Pretty noisy area, got woken around 4am by a glass collection, then 5am by a delivery truck, then 6am by another delivery truck. On checking out we were waved through front reception and they said “don’t worry, we will just put through any extra charges onto your credit card”….lucky I checked! The first night we stayed in and we did genuinely eat from the mini bar. The second night we had dinner out and ate nothing at the hotel. Got double charged for EVERYTHING. Somehow they think we accrued $500 of room service, despite touching nothing on the second night? Two cheese boards (there’s only one in the room) two on practically everything in the mini-bar! Perhaps a mistake, but honestly, it makes me wonder if they’re just seeing who’s paying attention to the bill after they wave you though at checkout? Never staying again.

So good it hurts. I wish they had a pool, but that’s just me. The location, room, food and especially the service was fantastic. With Poly downstairs for an amazing meal, great breakfast at the cafe and a friendly smile and assistance from the front desktop, you cannot go wrong here.

Great location for a Sydney Vacay. Interior is chic and welcoming, with a feeling you’ve just stepped into an alternative cinematic universe. The staff were so friendly, providing us with a drink on arrival and cold, orange infused water during one of the hottest Sydney days in recent months. Located near Museum station, so easily accessible form central or circular quay. And close to local hits like Chin Chin, Soda Factory and The Illustrated Man!

Such a cool hotel in Surry Hills! This is a fun spot to stay! We immediately noticed the cool decor within the lobby and elevator. The rooms are nice and spacious with a balcony. One note to mention is we weren't able to watch television as it's only compatible with Apple TV. Since we were on our honeymoon in Sydney we didn't mind not watching TV as we wanted to explore what the city had to offer :). The lobby has a restaurant with good food & coffee. The hotel is also within walking distance of restaurants and the harbour. Highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are in Sydney!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The vibe was totally our thing. Really fun and chill and cosy. Such a special little escape in the best location in Sydney. We love that it isn't tourist and feels like a local urban paradise. The decor and art is gorgeous and thoughtfully appointed. Comfiest bed and gorgeous bedding. We appreciated the room being made up daily and nothing was every a both- fantastic staff, both in our online booking and questions and at the front of house. Thank you team! The cafes, bakery and restaurants are some of Sydney's best in the building and around this area. We can't wait to come back!!

Nice vibe, beautiful interior; cool hotel in overall. Not really designed for family with kids but the staff were accomodating.

Great location in Surry Hills. Walking distance to the CBD, as well as many of the excellent restaurants on Crown Street. The rooms are so comfortable. With black out blinds and super soft furnishings, you will be sure to have a good night's sleep. Aesop toiletries provided adds to the luxury experience of the rooms. The hotel itself has a coffee shop on the ground floor as well as a roof top bakery. You can also book classes at the Recreation Club (we didn't have time to partake in any but next time!) While Paramount House Hotel is on the more expensive side, it was worth every cent.

PPH welcomes you like a long lost friend, the team are wonderful. The styling, architecture and design are beautiful, one of the only places I could find in Sydney with fresh air and open windows. Each room is individual yet all have soft French linen, exposed copper, wall to floor tiled bathrooms and lots of different snacks and drinks you may not have heard of. One of the best parts about PPH is its link to Paramount Coffee, not even next door, it’s IN the same building. Always quality food and service and the upstairs yoga & fitness classes as well as green bowls and smoothies post workout. PHH is eclectic, vibrant and highly enjoyable place to stay in Surry Hills. Walk to Central Station and Crown Street.

There should be more hotels like the Paramount - which is to say more hotels that are cleverly designed and highly personal with close ties to their neighbourhood. Paramount is quintessential Surry Hills: chic, well connected, boutique (and therefore a touch on the pricey side) but the details are all so thoughtfully considered and the neighbours so good (Poly, Nomad, Golden Age, Single Origin, Pellegrinos etc) that it feels worth every penny.

Even if I could go to a luxury hotel, Id still chose to stay here, without a doubt. The best staff, so much character in all the interior design. Great placement for coffee and baked goods.

The Paramount House is such a wonderful experience - upscale, yet cozy, THE BEST STAFF! The linens and bath towels are top notch and hazaa - the lotions and shampoos are supplied by Aesops. The Paramount Hotel is a historic building too - as it was the Southern Hemisphere home for Paramount pictures. Can you find the vault room? The cinema viewing rooms are so cool - actually the whole hotel is cool. The Paramount Coffee Project is in the foyer. Great breakfasts and coffees can be had there. Or head up to the rooftop for @A.P. Bakery where freshly baked goods are waiting for you. Also on site, below The Paramount house is Poly - not “just” a restaurant- but a thoughtful, foodie, fantastic restaurant with a wait staff that comes to work ready to work. I love this place and I highly recommend a stay at The Paramount House and take in all that it offers!

This is such a fun little hotel with amazing decor. I was immediately drawn to all of the quirky illustrations on the walls, the wall paper in the elevators and the styling within the rooms. The tvs are a little frustrating; you have to sign in with your Apple ID to be able to access programs (difficult for people who either don’t have an Apple ID or aren’t great with technology). This however is a minor setback. Mini bar is well stocked with a variety of great, unexpected snack and drink options. Love the tile choice in the bathroom and the brushed brass fixtures, along with the Aesop soaps - it all felt very high end. Great little cafe down in the foyer for coffees in the morning. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Central Station; close enough to be convenient whilst also far enough away that it’s not incredibly noisy. Overall this is a great venue which I would love to visit again in the future.
