I had open wounds on my face that need stitches which were listed as part of service. The doctor refused to treat me with an excuse of no CT scan/X-ray in the facility. Instead I was referred to ER which I would have gone myself. What is the point to open such a urgent care that can not deal with single procedure such as stitches ? I went to Patient First and they treated my wounds although they also referred me to ER for a CT scan. At least I was treated by other Urgent Care. Update: I got a bill over $260 for refusing giving me treatments. A compliant has been filed to Maryland Attorney General dispute this unethical medical bill. At the same time, I was glad to pay Patient First (a much better urgent care as the name suggests ) over $480 for their treatment. Do better job !!!

This was really bad experience, I cut my right hand. The place is filthy. The receptionist did not look up until I asked how to register. She pointed to a really dirty touch screen which had issues. That sends a text with a link to get a code which enables a link to do the registration. I was there because I cut my hand. This was really difficult. Receptionist said that was the only way to sign in. There were two people without masks, despite published policy. I felt this place was more a a health risk than for care. I will never trust anything named medstar again

I went to this urgent care on 5/31/2022, and I wish I never did. NP Raouf Azin is the worse person I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to healthcare providers, she was dismissive, angry, rushing, did not examine me, standing at the door she diagnosed me with conjunctivitis and did not discussed or gave me results of tests done, what is worse she misdiagnosed me, I wasn’t feeling any better and the next day after my visit to this urgent care I went to a different doctor who actually took the time to look at my eye and was able to see that I don’t have conjunctivitis I have inflammation caused by my rheumatoid arthritis, and she gave me the right medication to treat the symptoms which I started feeling better after my second dose. There’s a guy at the front desk who didn’t want to take my copayment because I was paying cash he said they don’t take cash. It seemed to me that they didn’t want to come into contact with me because they were afraid to get conjunctivitis at least that’s the message I got from everybody that was there with the exception of the nurse she seemed to care.in conclusion I was misdiagnosed and treated for something I didn’t have only because the NP didn’t examine me. I’ve been to this location before but with different outcome the doctor’s I’ve seen in the past we’re different they’re not there just to get a paycheck. NP Azin shouldn’t be treating patients if she doesn’t want to come in contact with them.

The receptionist staff helped me tremendously! I was so sick and could not look clearly at a screen to fill in all of my information. They were so kind and assisted me right away! After signing in, I was seen almost immediately. The MA was very precise in conducting the testing and the attending physician was so helpful with providing me with immediate results and guidance. I highly recommend this urgent care facility!

I recently had a great experience here. They figured out what was wrong with me in less than an hour and were very friendly all the way through the visit. Throughout this process I felt seen, heard and respected. I thank MedStar Urgent Care greatly for their excellent service, care and professionalism!

My visit to the Medstar Urgent Care at Potomac office was an extremely positive experience. The staff was professional, personable, helpful and efficient. I had to visit the office unexpectedly and did not have time to make an appointment, however, the staff still managed to rapidly process me and quickly provide the requested care. The staff provided superior medical consultation and thoroughly addressed all of my needs and requests. Thank you to the entire staff for all of the assistance, and for making the visit a positive one.

Christmas is the worst time to need a Dr visit but thankfully this urgent care was available. Myself being a nurse knows the sacrifice nurses/PA/NP/Dr give of themselves on holidays. Scheduling an online appointment was easy. We were greeted and quickly checked in and seen by the nurse/tech. Swabs were taken to rule out multiple things. The PA assessed my husband without delay. She was kind, pleasant, helpful and offered good instructions. We appreciate the entire staff. Efficient… Kudos also to the nearby CVS for being open and quick at the RX filling.

We booked a slot for 1:40 PM. After reaching there, it was 2 hours of wait time. When we asked front desk( Jamila) , she informed that booking a slot does not mean anything. It only holds your place in line. She also informed that it's written somewhere in fine print. Clearly, this facility or may be MedStar Chain booking system for time slot is meaningless. If you book a time slot and show up there on your time, they treat you same as walk ins. There may be 5-10 people ahead of you already waiting and they still show empty time slot and you can wait for hours to see doctor. If you respect your time, go somewhere else. They clearly don't respect anyone's time. Just now I see previous review about the same issue and reply is not really applicable in this situation. Volume of care may be unpredictable, but we booked 1:40 slot within a hour and 5 people were already waiting when we reached there. 1:40 slot shouldn't appear empty in their booking system. Everyone understands that doctor may end up spending extra time with some one and there could be delay of 20-30 minutes, but that's not a case with them. Booking system is useless if there is no difference between booked time slots and walk ins. Added later: Actual care was nice and everyone actually providing care were also nice.

The actual experience was ok. Was seen by a doctor, then waited almost an hour and a half to hear back about what was wrong. Following this they gave me a prescription to pick up. I told them where i wanted to get it from, but had an old pharmacy on file and sent it there anyways( over an hour and a half away) I called three different people to get it fixed to the pharmacy I actually requested, each time promised it would be fixed. It never was and I’ve now had to go the entire day without my medicine. Completely unhelpful experience.

Support staff and doctors were friendly. And testing and diagnosis was very quick. I would give 5 stars, but had an appointment set up and had to wait 25 min to get in. Other then that, was an excellent visit.

Came in for a foot issue for family member. Exceptional, personalized, and professional service and caring, warm staff. We were visiting from out of town, and felt like we were treated like family. Special thanks to Vanessa, Kelly, Sheila, Kiara, and Gabe. Our PA was Kristen and she was terrific. Thanks again!

Absolutely phenomenal experience. I had a kind of embarrassing issue and it could have been VERY unpleasant if the service had been bad. The opposite was the case. The doctor was beyond professional and the nurse was extremely friendly. All my questions were answered and they ran several tests just in case. Bedside manner was incredible. I felt safe and respected the entire time and my issue was handled. The facility was perfectly clean and the wait time was nonexistent.

Welcoming reception with information about approximate wait time. Once I was seen, service was efficient, informative and helpful. In spite of having a busy day both the doctor and The assistant did not rush the appointment, listened to and thoughtfully answered my questions If necessary I will return here and definitely recommend this location to others.

Suffering with a bad cold that I could not shake I went to MedStar almost as an afterthought. I found both the office and medical staff very professional and after a few simple forms were completed I was brought into an examination room. The examination was very thorough and ended with a chest X-ray. I don't think my primary care doctor could have provided me with a more thorough exam. So to the staff I say, "Thank You!" You deserve an A+. & BTW, with the drugs you prescribed, I am starting to feel better.

Dr Basel was straightforward and honest and friendly. His diagnosis and explanations of suggested treatment was clear and appreciated. The support staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone was calm and professional . I am thankful to have a supportive urgent care office so close to home.

Really good experience, especially when not feeling well. I'd never been there before. Front staff clearly explained the process. Wait time was not bad considering it was midday. Techs were quick and let me know how many people were to be seen before me. The doc was thorough and listened to my symptoms and issues. Her plan for me made sense and I was out in less than an hour.

This is a solid place. Doctors and other medical staff have always been knowledgeable, and empathetic. Wait time is reasonable. Great team of people; I will keep going to this place. I highly recommend.

I had a really good experience with the nurse and doctor. I went in with back pain and left with a prescription that already has me feeling better. The receptionist seemed like she was having a bad day. I felt she was getting cross with the patients coming in, and she kept reiterating that there were people ahead of the line and we (another patient and me) would have to wait.

Very efficient staff. I arrived 15 minutes to closing time but that did not bother the staff even on a Friday night they tended to concentrate on me not the Time. Waited for X-ray results from the lab and then went over the results and reports. With me. Very impressed with staff and service.

Very responsive and helpful. Not much waiting after making on-line appointment. Staff let me know while I was waiting where I was in line- one person in front of me. Pleasant staff. Very helpful. And good follow-up instructions.

My visit at MedStar Urgent care on Seven Locks Rd Potomac was very welcoming, warm caring. They all were great but KIDERA PA,DEIRDRE M. Was wonderful. Great bedside manners. Loved her!!!

It wasn’t very busy at the time I went, the wait was short. Check in and all the paperwork to complete in on line links sent to your phone, but this took a long time bc there was a lot of pages to fill out. The PA that saw me was nice, smart and did a good job. She provided education also and that made me feel better. Would recommend!

Cut my left arm. They cleaned the wound, stitched me up and had me on my way in about 30 minutes. Did a great job and my arm is now completely healed without complications. Fast, efficient and friendly service.

This place is horrible. What is the point of the reservation/appointments if they aren’t going to see the patients at that time? Might as well just take ONLY walk ins. Secondly, it does not take an hour to run flu/Covid test. The doctor just sits on the computer, while there’s so many patients waiting to be seen. The nurses quickly get your vitals, and get the patients in and out of the rooms, but what’s the point if the doctors just want to sit on their computers and phones at their station? It’s pointless. Absurd to have people waiting such times, if I wanted to wait 2+ hours to speak to a doctor, I would’ve gone to the emergency room. I honestly would’ve been better off at the emergency room. The doctor spent 2 minutes talking to me. If the doctor sees her patiently so quickly in 2-5 minutes how does that warrant a 2 hour and 30 minute wait time in a room? DO NOT COME HERE.

Lana was great. She listened carefully and was sympathetic. Also clearly explained everything. I appreciated her informing us of not only the procedures but informed us of the possible wait times.

I recently had a great experience at the MedStar urgent care on Seven Locks. I walked in without an appointment, and was seen right away. The clinic staff (nurses and doctor) were extremely helpful, professional, and kind. I got the answers and care I needed. Thanks for a great experience!

I can only recommend it. A very clean and well organized place. The receptionist was experienced, and helpful. The doctor listened to me carefully, explained everything clearly and advised the best possible treatment. And i forgot to mention easy to find it , plenty parking and free. Thank you.

I got two mosquito bites on Saturday and by Sunday night my foot looked like a blown up balloon. I went to the urgent care Monday morning and getting an appointment was effortless. Once there, I was seen right away. The doctor knew right away it was an infection and I was prescribed a great antibiotic that has reduced the swelling and made my foot look and feel great again. I’m definitely going back!

I went to this urgent care place because I got a toothache in July 2002. The issue was minor and they prescribed some antibiotics. They didn't tell me how much it would cost when I was there. I thought it would be covered by my insurance, but they now send me a bill for $119.48. This is outrageous.

there is no logic. wife got sick. covid test is positive. I went to ask for medicine. They can't enter the room without a mask (which protects by 15-20%), but said that the wife should personally come and sit in line with the patient (6 people ahead). question: how many people will she infect with covid?

My wife had a walk in appointment for getting pain medicine for shoulder pain. The checkin nurse just asked her for height and weight instead of actually measuring. The doctor asked a few questions and prescribed some medicine. So far everything was 5 star rating. We were in and out very quickly. Then I got a bill for 400$ from the insurance company. I was told she was a new patient (even though they had all the records from Righttime, which was acquired by Medstar) and the doctor spent 45 minutes for detailed history intake. I am puzzled by the blatant over billing. Post visit printout clearly stated that visit time (checkin time at front desk) was 16:55 PM and printout (again at front desk) was generated at 17:27 PM. How could the doctor squeeze in 45 minutes between 32 minutes?

The drs do not spend much time examining you and are not thorough. They never once felt for my lymph nodes, listened to my heart/lungs or things I feel drs normally to in my previous experiences. The second time I went back because I was not feeling better after 3 days, I felt as if that dr brushed me off completely and seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered with checking me again. Edit: it’s been 4 days and my lab results have not been back. I asked when I went back on a second time 3 days after the original visit and the dr said I should have them by the end of that day but I still haven’t had them. I still feel the same or possibly worse than 4 days ago when it went for the first visit. They have done absolutely nothing to help me. When I called for the lab results, the receptionist just transferred me to another number where I get vm.

They are not very thorough. I feel like Dr. Nolan seemed annoyed that I came back to be re-examined. I had been there Wednesday and my rapid strep said negative but the first dr I saw there felt it could still be strep and sent my lab out and started an antibiotic. By Friday, I felt the exact same and my throat was very painful. Dr. Nolan took a quick look at it but did nothing else. No tests, did not feel my lymph nodes, nothing more than a quick look and said “if the antibiotic isn’t working, it’s probably viral.” and walked out of the room. No further advice or help. My lab test from Wednesday have not been returned yet. I have heard nothing more on it. Another day has passed abd I still feel as awful as I did on Wednesday. I think I will try some other place because after two visits here, it has not helped at all.
