Where do I begin? This used to be my getaway place! I would hire a babysitter for two hours and come here just to escape for a bit. I would order a nice hot drink and peruse through the books and magazines. But alas, everything changes with time and now it’s just a store selling books. I don’t even go to the cafe anymore because the people cannot make a special drink at all. I don’t fault them; management appears to be inconsistent here. If you need a book quickly for a gift or immediately, this store will do. This store lost its appeal a while ago. I’m surprised that they are still open. They stopped using bags a month or two before the plastic bag law and I just felt like they gave up. They were like, “yeah, we don’t want to pay for more bags so just take it home naked”. As a matter of fact; that’s what I feel like in this store. It used to have good vibes and now it screams we don’t care anymore.

Great variety of adult and kids books for every taste. Toy section with loads of games and educational items. Extensive magazine section! Reading section for kids while adults shop. Sections for sale items, hobby lists, journals, writing implements. Great gift ideas. Cafe to provide a respite in your busy day. There is usually someone in the middle circle desk to look up book information and help you find something. Friendly cashiers. An enjoyable experience for book lovers.

B&N’s have really empowered staff the last few years and now provide a more local experience. This outlet is an example of a well-run business led by independent and competent managers, friendly and helpful staff, and a knowledgeable atmosphere. I was struck by the team coordination, the vast availability of titles, and the delicious choices from the cafe, including a refreshing unsweetened iced black tea. With the regular customers browsing and reasonable decorum of book shoppers, one might spend more time here. The toys and kid sections contain ample products for the family market and young attention.

It's a bookstore so I love it because there is nothing like exploring to find new authors and titles you would never have picked up otherwise. That being said they have redone there bookshelves in a rather obnoxious way. Probably some genus at corporate level thinks making the shelves difficult to navigate will increase sales some how.

Oh I love this Barnes and Noble. The staff is very friendly. Very well kept and clean location. We spent a few hours just browsing and reading here. There’s a Starbucks with various options and comfortable seating areas. They have so many different books and genres. We found just about everything that we were looking for.

We went to this bookstore in order to find some goodies for our two and four year old grandkids. AMAZING!! The children's section is incredible; books, toys, puppets, stuffed animals and all with beautiful descriptions. We will come here for all of our children's gifts.

This is a really nice Barnes and Noble location – it has a good Starbucks café and a large selection of books The inside of the store is well-maintained and clean, and the staff is friendly

Great variety of books and magazines. They also have of large selections of children and adult puzzles and children toys. Barnes and Noble in Edison is much larger than the Bridgewater store. The Edison store actually has two floors and is connected to the Menlo Park Mall.

Great book store. Always clean. The staff is always nice and will help you find anything. Good section set up for kids. Even their own reading area. Plenty of spots spread around the store to sit as well. I only got from the Cafe once in there so far but it was good.

This is a great B&N! The staff is always helpful. They have a great selection of books and other fun items. The only downside for some people might be that you have to be able to navigate ther 206 circle.

The store was clean and it was very roomy, there were a ton of books to pick from. But the line took five to ten minutes to get wrung-up. But the worker was really nice.

DO NOT BUY BOOKS FROM THIS PLACE. They keep all nonsense books for kids. I got WORKMAN publishing Brain Quest book from Barns & Nobles for Grade 1. In sight words “Where is Blake? THEY are jumping on rope.” was the answer. My pre-k kid got confused with his grammar. Utter nonsense creeping into grammar.

I like this Barnes and Noble. The store is nice and staff is very friendly. My only reason for the removal of a star is they do not allow the Starbucks baristas to accept tips as their policy. Most of the time it is high school and college kids and I enjoy expressing my appreciations for their efforts. I hope people see this and help move this along by submitting a letter to management as well.

Friendly staff. Beautiful merchandising of a bygone era. Are people buying physical books any more? How much longer can this anachronism survive? Music and movies section replaced with toy section. Does that really belong in a "book store"? I suppose they're appealing to their demographic, but it doesn't interest me. I'm out.

Greatest Book Store since Borders. This one use to a Grand Union supermarket during that same period. And then they also went out of business. However, when Barnes and Noble opened up, that became like a second home to me. I can go to this place for books, Blu ray movies, monthly issues of Heavy Metal, and the Starbucks section. Even though, I'm a member there. Cheers to all at Barnes and Noble☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️😁💯

Went to this location since online it says they had the book in stock at their store. I couldn’t find so I decided to wait in line for customer service. This older lady with gray curly hair kept screaming at what I’m guessing her other coworkers she’s clocking out and leaving. But I don’t get why bother to “help” customers if your leaving. And by help she wasn’t helpful at all. She was very rude and condescending. Clearly not wanting to be there. A man ahead of me was asking if they had to this book in stock she tells him probably in so and so section but doesn’t tell him what direction to go to so he has to find it on his own. I’m up after him and I ask if they have any more books in back because - she rudely cuts me off before I try to explain to her that I already looked where the book suppose to be and it’s not there and website says there in stock here. Just says to go to so and so section like what she did to previous guy in front of me and leaves. Another worker (straight brown hair with bangs) saw what happen and she nicely try to help me but we couldn’t find it so someone must have bought it or put it somewhere else. This whole incident just really ruined my day and experience here. I’m really introverted and I have bad social anxiety so I don’t really like to ask for help but I drove so far for it and It took all the courage in me to ask a worker for help and she was just overly rude when I was very nice and polite to her. I felt she was taking her anger out on me the whole conversation. Maybe because she mistook me as a teenager and I was looking for a manga she thought it would be okay to be nasty to but I don’t appreciate it

We went there with our daughter for story time. She loved it. It was just her and her friend, so they even got to choose a book to be read. She choose a couple kids books to continue reading at home.

Clean and organized store. Customer service was very helpful with guiding us through some new reading ideas and suggestions. Everyone we encountered at the store today was super nice and gracious with their time. Thank you!

Ordered some books from here because I’m trying to order less from Amazon, so even though it was a bit less convenient I ordered online pick up. My experience was nothing short of awful. When I got there I went straight to the register. An elderly woman struggled to find my order on the shelf behind her, because it was split into a few piles but that’s fine. After I hand her my ID she started to ask me who the payer was even though I was listed very clearly as the pick up person. I tell her as much and she starts counting the books, the numbers line up. I tell her the order is right but she ignores me and spends a good twenty minutes making sure each book title is on the online receipt. I mean she literally starts unwrapping the books which are neatly stacked and banded together and starts to go over them one by one, as if someone hasn’t already done this. So she’s talking aloud, saying the names of the books aloud, as she counts aloud. The books weren’t embarrassing but they could have been and she’s saying it loud enough that all five strangers standing in line behind me could hear. I can’t imagine a target employee taking my online pick up items out of the bag and saying the items aloud as they checked the receipt. Anyway, I try to hurry her along, tell her it’s fine, at this point it’s very clear I’m uncomfortable but she doesn’t care. The line is getting longer and some people only have like one thing so I excuse myself saying that I need to get something from my car. I come back and look around for a bit as the people who were standing behind me check out. When I come back she still hasn’t figured it out. Now she’s insisting that one of the books in the order isn’t on the receipt. Eventually another woman comes over and locates the book in about three seconds. This woman then hands me my books, because it’s not even like I had to check out everything was paid for already. I was late for class because of all of this.

Always a pleasure to visit the book store! I've never visited and not been able to find exactly what I'm looking for. There is a wonderful selection of crafting books and kits as well as an amazing selection of Japanese pop culture treasures.

The receiving manager (1/23/24), is a frustrated nasty person, had she ask me to move my truck from blocking her delivery door I would've immediately do it, instead she started taking pics and foul mouthing me, racially, nasty, etc etc total negativity energy.. I know where I'm not buying a book🙈🙊
