Nice timepass for kids . Itโ€™s a free walk around zoo with some good animals . We saw a white peacock dancing that day :) also had emu, wild boar and few other animals. Was good for kids less than 6 years :) lots of parking available and many more things to do in that park .. thumbs upโ€ฆ

Very nice park to go with family . Right from the parking lot you can see some of your favorite animals like pot belly pigs, roosters, deer, Billy goats and excetera. there is a playground and bathroom facilities are very accessible and clean. The park offers paved paths and dirt and gravel hiking trails. My hiking group went Sunday morning and we hiked for 2 hours. Very nice park we will be returning.

May 5, 2023 I just found put they are closing the zoo. Almost of the a animals are gone already! Except for 5 birds. This was because of budget cuts. Nothing was stated anywhere, no papers, signs not dven on Google! Great going Monmouth County, you never asked for donations or even tried to hold an event to raise funding.

So sad seeing wild animals caught and locked away in tiny cages. How would you all feel being stuck inside of your bathroom for the remainder of your lives? You wouldn't like it, so think about how the animals feel when they can't even fully stretch out their wings/fly. Depressing. Poor animals are put on display for human pleasure, sick!

A nice free zoo to visit with the kids. The park has beautiful trails for hiking, sand volleyball courts, and playgrounds. And last but not least, a great place to celebrate the 4th of July, as it turned out yesterday.

The zoo there looks like a scam. Itโ€™s just a big fenced wood with some ducks and deers in it. You can only walk along the fence and try to see animals deep in the woods. We visited the zoo in Woodbridge during the winter, and they said theyโ€™ve moved all their animals to Thompson Park Zoo, so we thought this must be a major zoo, but it turns out to be very disappointing.

Great little park, plenty of space to walk around and enjoy nature. The zoo is a wonderful addition, it was so cool to see deer up that close (but not in front of your car!). Hidden gem!

The zoo is small, but my grandchildren enjoyed it. Went to the children's park on the other side of the parking lot. The grandkids had a good time. Plenty of families were there too.

if I could give this zero stars I would. The few animals they have in the park do not look like they are taken care of very well. The animals should be relocated to a zoo they can be properly cared for. the township should be ashamed of themselves for letting the animals live like that.

A nice and small Zoo. Canโ€™t really call it a zoo actually. Just a stroll in the park. Could be fun for kids but the park itself is really good.

It's a nice 10-15 walk around the zoo area, but there are lots of other things to see such as the lake. There is a bathroom and water fountain.

Driving around and found this is park. It was nearing sunset but we had a chance to play on the swingings, run through the open field, and snap a picture of Snoopy enjoying the sunset. The zoo is free and you can view several types of birds. Their cages have ample space, and they seems to be well taken care. Ample parking too.

My kids love the turkeys and my wife loves visiting all of the animals on our family nature walks.

I could not believe there was a Zoo in Town. It is not a long walk downtown. Admission is free. It is a 675 acre facility with mostly deer and some separate enclosures for other small creatures. Just not something you are expecting to find.

I've been here many times and find it relaxing. The park in itself is beautiful but it's also peaceful. The zoo is great with the animals there and there are lots of places to sit to just absorb the atmosphere.

I heard that theyโ€™re closing this zoo!!! SHAME ON YOU! Hundreds of families enjoy this zoo/park. Why kill it for a few $? Our taxes are sufficient to cover the minuscule cost of the zooโ€™s operation. PLEASE RECONSIDER!

Didnโ€™t really walk around much because it was 28 degrees out and our 5 yo grand preferred the playground, but it looks like a beautiful park and look forward to returning in warmer weather!!

The birds are being maintained in cages in sweltering heat, with no way to bathe in a water-source. It is animal abuse. Disgusting! Shame on this parks system!

This park has so much to offer many short and long hiking trails. Well marked and clean. A dog park one area for small dogs a separate area for large dogs. A disc golf ccourse

โ€ผ๏ธโ€ผ๏ธI am NOT giving this park 5 stars but all you see are the 5 star reviews. I would give it 1 star because it is beautiful and a great place for walks and kidsโ€ฆ But the zoo portion NEEDS to go. The birds are over packed in small cages all day with nothing but sand. Despite the โ€œDo not feedโ€ signs, people are tossing food into their habitats and no one is there to stop them. Feeding bread to birds such as ducks will hurt their stomachs!!!! Also, Iโ€™ve never seen such an emo looking emu. It looked so sad and bored and lonely, I felt sick to my stomach. I felt ashamed to even go there for my walk because itโ€™s not fair. One look and you can see these animals are not taken care of. This park does not need these animals to thrive, it has enough attractions without them. Please provide these animals with a better living situation with more brain stimulation and space.
