Been here twice and although the drinks are amazing, the boy in the counter had a horrible attitude! I asked for their bathroom and was told straight out “NO”. According yo a sign on their door, their bathroom is being used as storage and not available for the public. I do not think is up to code to have a functioning coffee shop without a working bathroom, is it? So very disappointed.

Went here to have coffee date and they place was definitely hidden and we couldn’t find it on the first go! Coffee: tried the Cafe mocha and Cappuccino and it was decent! Definitely could skip it! The cafe mocha was a lack lustre and could be better! The place is a nice cafe in downtown but wouldn’t be my first pick Edit: Cafe too sweet to reach our preference! Making necessary changes to review for detailed feedback. Mocha: The same didn’t have chocolate flavour, not even a hint. Though the coffee quality was nice!

Loved the coffee and fresh sandwiches. The colorful flag should go, there is no need for it to be there. Hence 3 stars.

Real chill and cool place, seems like a hub for college students. (Rutgers is nearby).. would recommend, especially their hot chocolate with extra caramel sauce.

Excellent classic latte and welcoming espresso bar vibe. Possibly the best coffee experience in New Brunswick, NJ

Hidden grounds coffee is a great spot! They have a large space and high ceilings which was cool. The photography on the wall was super cool and nice to see; very well done pieces. They had a nice menu and selection of merch. As well as vinyl records! I was surprised and intrigued by their hot water at the ready faucets for pour overs! Really innovative and futuristic. The latte was good, the art got messed up for the picture but tasted good. The pour over was divine! ☕️ they make a good cup and know their beans. If you’re looking for some great coffee this roaster is great!

The almond croissant is to die for. Also the monkey bread YUM! Cute lil spot. Went early and got to spend a good amount of time chit chatting with my beastie. After an hour it got pretty busy! Friendly vibes and great espresso.

Every time I visit a state I try to find the best none chain coffee shop around. This is it in New Brunswick.

They make great coffee. Love the inside. It's got a little bit of an industrial vibe while being cozy. People are very nice. Food looks good, but they don't offer gluten free pastries.

Been here twice now and the drinks here are just amazing!!! Not only is the staff super nice, but the shop has a great story and even better drinks. The speciality drinks menu is so creative and delicious. My friend got the vietnamese boba coffee and loved it so much they immediately ordered another. Will be back :)

Cute local coffee shop! Great coffee. They do all kinds of signature drinks or standard coffees, pourovers, etc. Great place to bring a laptop and get some work done, they have a few outlets around the place to keep a laptop charged. They also sell coffee beans and will grind them for you if you need it. They also have donuts and some pastries and (I think) one or two sandwiches. Personally like the almond croissants and honey lavender latte!

Been here three times and burnt my tongue every time. The tea is so hot. I tried to cool down the tea using another cup but that still didn't work. I ended up drinking the tea but could barely taste the flavor. It tasted more like hot water with tea juice infused.

Probably the best premium coffee spot in the middle of New Brunswick. Coffee is flavourful and well made. Premium coffee, premium price and a quirky vinyl LP themed backdrop. Worth a visit

Stopped in here while traveling for work and was pleasantly surprised. I had the New Orleans cold brew coffee and it was absolutely delicious, nice selection of baked goods too, would recommend.

Haven’t been to this location but I really enjoyed my New Orleans coffee. And the service here is absolutely fantastic. My barista Rosalina gave me some great recommendations. And made me a delicious cup of coffee. You can tell she’s incredibly passionate about coffee and what she does. Will definitely be back soon!

Just wonderful. Visited from out of town for Dad's procedure, and found a dog-friendly spot that was quiet and clean. Had a capp and rose chai, along with bagel sandwich and avocado toast -- maybe a bit pricey but def worth it. Got some work done, stable internet, low-key service, welcoming staff. Pup got some uninterrupted snooze time while we waited too!

I am so disappointed. I’ve heard great things about Hidden Grounds and it did not live up to the expectations. With an extremely limited menu, you would think each item would be high quality, but that was not the case. The pastries were stale and dry. The iced latte was watered down and flavorless. The food and drinks were overpriced, with a up-charge for milk substitutions. Also, the bathroom was filthy with NO paper towels or SOAP. Unacceptable. Will not be returning.

Really great quality coffee. I love the iced honey lavender latte and salmon bagel with extra veggies on it. The rose chai is also amazing. Only thing I wish they had a bit more seating.

Love the place, specially when you're visiting NJ with your 🐶. Definitely pet friendliness. Coffe was excellent and the almond croissant you must try

Used to be my favorite place in NB when I was at Rutgers and being here again I can remember why. Awesome coffee, comfy atmosphere, what else could you want on a miserable January afternoon?

Coffee is delicious here. Customer service is pleasant, quick and efficient. I usually order a bagel with my coffee which is always tasty. Cute and cozy spot!

good coffee, nice location, and friendly staff! got the taro latte which was okay (didn't expect it to not have espresso and tasted similar to bubble tea) but previously really liked the lavender honey latte

Coffee is amazing! I love lavender lattes but I can never make a good one at home. Hidden Ground’s lavender latte is so good, sometimes I order two. I bring everyone here who visits town. Definitely would recommend!

Delicious coffee! The one I had was very tasty and not too bitter. I would have definitely bought beans if I didn't have to fly back home. Staff and owner are very friendly. I am an out-of-towner, but the barista remembered my order from the previous day. The space is nice and music not too loud, perfect, if like me, you need to kill time before taking the train. Highly recommend!

I love this place (both the one down easton and up it) - their matcha lattes are so good and I love to add rose into it. The music is great (totally not biased to the Smiths or Cranberries) too! It’s a great place to hunker down and study if you find an open table and the staff’s always pleasant.

First time stopping by since the Starbucks at work shut down for the day lol Let me tell you the cold brew is amazing! Not too strong or sweet. Simply perfect. Many options on menu I highly recommend the Caramel sweet cold brew. Couldn’t resist the pecan sticky bun as well. Must try if near NB area!
