It was my first time going there after hearing some good things about it however we ended up having a bad experience. We wanted to sit at the table after the people left and asked the lady to clean the table before we sat but she didn’t clean the table well and it still had crumbs and spilled coffee on the table, we ended up cleaning it ourselves. My sister ordered cappuccino expecting it to be in a glass cup like the picture they have on the website but instead she got it in a disposable cup and it tasted really weird. Lastly I ordered vegan chicken and the bread was so hard it gave me small cuts inside my mouth and it hurts really bad.

Amazing sandwiches with excellent service! Right spice and ingredients!! Loved the rose gold! Edit (Aug 2022): The quality has gone downwards and they don't treat the customers as nice as they did before. I used to like this place but not anymore!

Delicious coffee, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and good bakery/snack options. They used to have more gluten-free and vegan options but not anymore. I hope they can bring some back! Oh, and also dog friendly.

I came here with my daughter because she's been wanting to try it. She had the lavender honey latte, and she liked it because it was sweet. I drank the iced chai latte, and it was very good. I ate the Bombay sandwich which was very delicious. The mint and date chutney definitely had a little kick to it, but all of the flavors worked well together. My daughter ate the smoked salmon toast, which she really enjoyed. The red pepper flakes definitely added a kick to it, but she liked how that paired with the scallion cream cheese she requested. Seating is tight, and there are several students spread out on their computers. Luckily, a table opened up for us. We would definitely come back here again.

I saw the photos of this place and instantly wanted to visit. I went with a group and ended up ordering 3 coffees, a rose chai, and a few food items. To be honest, I was very disappointed to see them serving the coffees in to-go cups with no design or resemblance whatsoever to the cute coffee photos they have on the web. That was the main reason of wanting to visit! Also, I ordered the avocado toast, egg sandwich and fries, all of which had wayyy too much of the cayenne pepper which basically masked any other flavors of the food. Would probably not visit again.

Just discovered this place and happy to say that I was blown away. The food was beyond amazing. Fresh and bursting with flavor. The drinks were also well made and hit the spot. The chicken Tikka sandwich was loaded with meat and the seasoning was perfect. It was really well made. The perfect savory meal/snack. The grilled cheese was great too. I was hesitant when I saw that it was loaded with onions and tomatoes, 2 things I don't usually like (it's a texture thing). But the slightly spicy taste made up for it, and I downed it very quickly, without further hesitation. The masala fries maybe could've used more masala, and that's my only complaint about those. The aloo Chaat was great, with an interesting use of hashbrowns as the aloo. Almost a fusion item that was very well made. The donuts were also great and my daughter loved trying each one! Convenient iPad ordering system too! Overall very happy, and will definitely be coming back for more!

Tasty bagel breakfast options! Great coffee, cool atmosphere but not the greatest aesthetics. While it seems like they gave up on the decor, they do offer free WiFi and indoor and outdoor seating options. So, if you're looking for a cosy quiet breakfast escape, definitely give them a try.

i used to love this place and order delivery on a regular basis, but they got rid of all of their vegan food (any vegan food listed on their website is no longer available). then they cut their non-dairy milk down to almond, which tastes terrible when steamed. i haven't ordered from them since, which is a shame because i loved their lattes and there's not really anyone else in New Brunswick making decent vegan lattes at the moment. edit: thank you HG for responding to my review, i've updated my rating. i just checked grubhub and doordash and unfortunately, only doordash currently lists oat milk as an option for lattes. could you please fix this? happy to update my review again once i can order from grubhub!

Ordered a Masala Chai, Pumpkin spice cold brew, Chicken Tikka sandwich, Bombay bagel Sandwich, and doughnut. Chai was great - freshly made… Pumpkin spice coffee was alright - more like latte instead of cold brew. Sandwiches were good and the service is amazing. The vibes are cozy and cute. I definitely recommend it.

This is easily the best coffee shop I’ve EVER been to. The vibes are immaculate, the coffee is delicious and the food was to die for. I came in when it was a little slower and being from out of town I asked if they could pick some drinks for me to try. They made me a hot lavender honey latte which was THE BEST coffee I have had in a while and then the iced rose chai which was also to die for! I ordered the savory avocado toast and hands down it will be how I make avocado toast until I die. The staff was absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly and they made this such a great experience.

The place is nice. Sort of hidden as in its name. The I ordered cortado, It was good. I am happy to have found coffee place in this area.

I've frequented both New Brunswick locations for about 6 years, not sure why it's taken me so long to leave a review. This is my favorite coffee shop to co work at. They have delicious vegan options for me which I don't come across often at other coffee shops. My favorite drinks have changed over the years but dirty chai, honey bee latte, and rose chai are my top 3. Staff are friendly but real. I enjoy the consistency in the business as a whole and look forward to being a regular for years to come.

Location is chill, the vibe is nice and quaint. The chai price is up there, hitting you at 4.75 but the flavor is decent. I found it to be more of a floral chai, than a spicy chai which i prefer. Maybe that's how they market themselves, as floral chai and i didn't take note. Anyway, not bad but not my cup of chai.

Like the name, it's hidden and it's a gem. They have the best chai, not the typical Starbucks kind which is made from powder, but one that is made with actual loose black tea and milk. Their donuts are amazing, never had such a juicy donut. We tried chocolate and apple cider donuts. Don't be fooled by the names...they are nothing like typical. You should certainly try them.

This place has good coffee and food for sure. However, my only issue is, this is a cafe and I came across it because I read online people go here to have some coffee and do some work. However, the music is SO LOUD in this place, its like a club. They really need to lower the volume to a reasonable level because there are many times I just walked out because its insanely loud. You have to talk to them at FULL VOLUME in order for them to hear you because of how loud the music is. They advertise this as a cafe to come relax, do your work, have coffee and some snacks, but the atmosphere doesn't allow that. I would go more often if they can control their music volume.

Hot Matcha & Rose Donut was Amazing on the Pricey Side but worth it.👍🏾

If a cafe can't get its latte properly, who will? The hot latte was underwhelming and cold. The milk was cold, and the latte had no coffee flavor at all, only milk. The monkey bread was cold, hard and dry. The masala chai is watered down, and not enough flavors were found. Very disappointed. Pricey.

I experience good customer service at Hidden Grounds Coffee; an employee helps me uncover a Vegan option which tastes SO good (like, every bite good). The Mint Chutney, the Date Chutney, and Sriracha sauce make the Bombay Bagel sooo much more flavorful. The tomatoes, cucumber, and onion add a crunch as well as tame the Avocado (which is not slimy or at least not noticeably slimy due to the tomatoes, cucumber, and avocado). The Everything Bagel is my top choice for bagel options, and it tastes very good with these ingredients. The establishment is cute, literally underground like, at a corner, that if for not walking close to the corner, I'll have a lesser chance of finding the eatery. The eatery accepts all forms of payment. The establishment has WiFi and areas to charge electronics!

Crazy dirty - but solid coffee. I was going to grab breakfast and coffee, but after seeing how dirty it was, no way I was eating here. I got there early before the crowds and legit had to scrape food off my table. Outside tables were a mess. I sat inside and the trash cans were overflowing from the previous day. There was trash on the floor and even a handsome little bug crawling around. And there’s an (unplugged) ice machine and fridge next to the toilet - let’s hope they don’t come back into play, because you know they probably aren’t getting cleaned first.

Ordered a hot drip coffee(and left a nice tip) and it was like warm/cold and tasted like spoiled milk. Couldn’t drink it and was too annoyed to ask for another because I shouldn’t have to in a place where coffee should always be fresh.

The drinks are not for me. I’ve tried them all. But the atmosphere is cute and they have food items that seem very good. Outdoor seating is the best with shade and no music.

Homemade chai shoppe in New Brunswick. The apple spiced chai was very good, while the cardamom chai was too strong...and I didn't care for it. The donuts were so pretty. I think they would of been better earlier in the day, as they were not very fresh when I went. The service was nice, and there are tables outside to sit at.

Super tasty food with amazing drinks. I tried the samosa grilled cheese which was packed with flavor. The mint and date chutney was so bright and fresh while the samosas had a wonderful crisp and spice. The sauce on the grilled cheese reminded me of a spicy barbecue sauce and was truly amazing. If they sold it separately I would definitely buy a jar. The gulab jamun donut was the perfect sweet treat. The magic masala chai was filled with warm spices and the perfect drink for a cold winter morning. I loved the sweet note on the donut bag!!

I was shocked when the price popped up for $7.50 for a medium latte. I was also shocked again when I saw how small the medium was. Again for a third time, I was shocked when the drink I received tasted completely different than the one I had received the day before (there were free drinks yesterday paid for by panel event, however i ordered the same thing). The price, sizing, and inconsistency are why I wont be coming back. However on a positive note, the inside is cute and the service was fast

DELICIOUS avocado toast & sweet caramel cold brew (new orleans style). This place is my latest obsession.
