The food was delicious but took FOREVER to be served. My family and I arrived at 11:20 and was seated out side in front of the Greek restaurant- we placed the order by 11:40 and the food did not come to our table until 12:40. I must say that it was a busy day but we noticed that everyone who came in after us ate and left- we were still there. On the other hand, I would visit again. I guess it was a bad day for us but I definitely give them a second chance. Overall the waiter who served us was apologetic and made us laugh....They also make a homemade delicious pepper sauce which I enjoyed.

We are so glad we found this little GEM this morning! The service was phenomenal beyond 5 stars and the food and coffee was beyond delicious.(super plus they offer almond milk) Everything was super fresh and had so much flavor and color :) We will definitely be back and the atmosphere is so inviting and cozy. We could spend hours there talking over coffee;) *** Annie's homemade hot sauce is a must try! From the first step in the door we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcoming. Everyone there was so friendly and we asked for recommendations between a few options and we went with what was suggested and honestly anything you order you can't go wrong and won't be disappointed! This will definitely be our new go to spot for breakfast/lunch or just stop in for some coffee :) ****family owned support local family small businesses I think she said they have been there for 23 years 😉 Can't wait to go back

Brewed Awakening is an incredible brunch spot! We went for Mother's Day today and it was amazing! The wait wasn't even that long for a party of 5 people, 15 min wait. The staff (Josh and Jeftey) that helped us were friendly and had great customer service. The French toast was my favorite! Pancakes, eggs, and coffee were delicious too!! The only negative thing I have to say is the restaurant is small but a hidden gem! This place is definitely worth a large scale brunch place.

Wonderful small shop for a quick bite. The kids treated us to brunch on our way through New Jersey. Dons raved about the sugar free caramel latte. Her smashed avocado toast was a hot also. My chicken/ eggplant panini was enjoyable. The highlight was Gabriel. He was so welcoming and patient. Great small shop vibe. I definitely recommend this spot.

Great food, great atmosphere and great coffee. I had the Mediterranean Goat Cheese wrap and you can tell everything was fresh. In house hot sauce is 🔥. The coffee has a great kick and I will definitely come back. Update: Went back again recently and the service/food keeps getting better and better. A really Impressive place and good vibes from everyone. The staff is probably the NICEST I've ever encountered at any restaurant in my whole life. I'm a permanent customer. Thank you again Brewed. Good food and good service! The restaurant is so cute and has a good ambiance. Theyve got indoor and outdoor seating as well. I got the spanish scramble for my meal. Make sure to ask for the hot sauce. It's made in house and spicy! Went so well with my wrap. Was our first time here and we'll be back to try more of the food.

So good. I got the potato, tomato, spinach, and peppers omelet with an iced banana mocha latte. Bf got the chicken pesto panini. Everything was delicious. Staff were all very polite, helpful, and attentive despite how packed the place was. If you like sweet and spicy, ask for the hot sauce, it's very flavorful as well as being pretty spicy. A little goes a long way. Got a jar to take home too.

We ended up here because the place that we wanted to go to had a long wait. We were seated immediately. Our waitor was very nice & made some good suggestions. I ordered the red velvet waffle with a side of scrambled eggs & turkey bacon & my friend ordered the same. I love the fact that they made the scrambled eggs with real eggs & not the liquid eggs. The waffle was sweet enough without any need for syrup & the price was good. $15 for all that food. Negatives is the bathroom needs some serious cleaning.

This was our first time here, I Googled some breakfast places and this place popped up so we decided to try. Once we got there we were able to find street parking near the place. Once we got inside it was full but we were seated to the side and given menus to look at until our table was ready. We waited about 10 minutes to get a table. But this is a fast pace place, so the wait wasn't too long..We ordered some of their specialty lattes and they were delicious. I ordered the salmon delight omelette, it came with potatoes and toast. And my friend ordered a waffle, it had a sauce and fruit, and the vegan chorizo (chickpeas and seasoning). I thought the food was okay it could have used a little bit more seasoning for me. The waiter was super attentive and nice. I'm not sure but I think you can BYOB for mimosas because I saw some customers with a bottle. Overall this is a very nice place and I will recommend.

Super friendly staff, great service, fresh food. After walking in I saw a sign that had signature lattes. I got the ginger Matcha and dirty Chai. Both, I HIGHLY recommend. I don't usually drink coffee, but this was uhhhmazing.

We went there for Christmas Eve breakfast. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. The food was delicious, everyone cleared their plates. I had smashed avocado, so good. But the sugar free caramel latte was so delicious I wanted to go back for more! I will definitely be back again when I am in the area.

Food was delicious, pancakes were so fluffy. Food came out nice and hot, QUICKLY and our server was kind and attentive. Excellent server. My mocha latte was to die for. Also loved The presentation of the pancakes. Nothing on our plates looked rushed or quickly thrown together. Food was also hearty. I’m good til dinner! Will absolutely come back here.

Great food! Great coffee as well. I tried the N.17 Omlette, which was delicious and the Iced Coffee with Vanilla Hazelnut, definitely a must try. If you love spicy food, do ask for their special Hot Sauce, which is mind blowing! Overall great experience

I would give this place a 5 star because the food was excellent. But the cleanliness of the restaurant was terrible. There was a fly sitting on our food constantly which was a bummer. Also overall it looked very shabby and dirty. We ordered regular breakfast stuff like French toast, pancakes, eggs etc and all were good. I just hope they do some deep cleaning of the restaurant for guests to enjoy and go back again.

Excellent breakfast place and the menu highlight for vegans is the chickpea based spicy chorizo. A delight for vegans that like spicy food. The coffee is also great and they have multiple flavor options that also sets Brewed Awakening apart. Last but not the least, One of the best avocado toasts in the Metuchen area - so if you’re craving for one - you know where to go. Do give Brewed awakening a try if you’re in the neighborhood and are craving a good breakfast food.

If you are looking for a family like welcoming spot for coffee and a flavorful meal then stop by Brewed Awakenings in Metuchen. The huevos rancheros is a unique twist on an already delicious spicy delight. The owners island influenced take on a breakfast staple is worthy in itself of stopping by to enjoy yourself when in Metuchen. The coffee is full flavored and stands on its own. I saw several orders of pancakes pass by our table outside so I know what I'll be trying next visit. The inside seating is comfortable but for people watching and soaking up the sun their ample outdoor seating is inviting. Updating to comment on the incredible remodel....the place looks very modern chic and stylish with the food and service remaining exceptional and thankfully unchanged.

They’ve definitely upped their game. The place is maintained a lot better (cleaner) than a few summers ago. The young men who serve you are really friendly and on top of things. The food has always been good . I’m glad I went back and gave them another try. It’s nice that we can just walk to town and have another spot to eat breakfast. You should definitely try their coffee beans and bring some home. I recommend the Toasted Almond flavor.

The service is great, who I think was the owner was nice, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If you have a party of four, there is a cute nook all the way in the back that is under a beautiful skylight. It’s cozy and the waiters don’t forget about you back there!

This was one of the best meals we've had! I had a lunch sandwich- the vegetables were perfectly seasoned and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The flavors were incredible! The coffee is delicious too and my husband's French toast was delicious. It's a fun little place and our waiter Jesus was fantastic. Wished we lived closer so we could go often!

Everything was really good food, customer service, speedy service. The only suggestion would be to please make sure that the tables are not wobbly. I spilled my precious coffee all over the table, and it was really hot.

Great for breakfast/brunch and especially for their house hot sauce! I’ve now been here 3 times over the last year and plan to come by more now that I’m working in the area more often, especially because there aren’t many options for a quiet place to sit before lunch hour. After meeting the owner Annie (whose name is on their house hot sauce, a deceptively hot Caribbean inspired sauce) I can understand how they’ve been around for over 20 years! Her and her staff are friendly and accommodating and seem to have a good routine and loyal clients, which you’d expect of a place that’s thrived through COVID. Let’s talk about the hot sauce more because I love places with their own! On my scale of 1-10 where 1 = black pepper and 10 = Carolina reaper, I’d give it a good 6-7 because it starts with a light burn and adds up quickly while adding a nice flavor to your meal. Do be careful of adding too much to breakfast as I managed to upset my own stomach last time 😅

My family and I stopped by one day after getting my husbands glasses fixed and we had the best lunch! We both got sandwiches and the flavor was amazing. We asked our server about the hot sauce (that was incredible) and the owner came right out to introduce herself and tell us about her hot sauce! We bought a jar to take home and are so happy we did!

Came here for some coffee because Cai was packed and was blown away! Such warm, genuine service and the food was out of this world! Full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and came out lightening fast (always appreciated!). Photos of my huevos rancheros with their homemade hot sauce. Perfecto!!!

If I could give ten stars I would. ⭐️ This place has finally had me walk out totally satisfied after a breakfast. I like my breakfast with a kick of spices and I don’t like jalapeños instead I like the small chilli 🌶️ peppers in my omelette and to my surprise, that was available and offered to me. She made the home fries with spicy touch also. The tea was aromatic with cinnamon and my son’s breakfast was perfect for him. He said his hot chocolate tastes like real chocolate. We were attended in a timely manner and we were asked numerous times if we need anything. To top it all off, the prices are extremely reasonable.

I stopped by for a quick latte. The lady helping me was amazing. Seemed like she was doing 4 things at once and doing them all well. I was in and out In just a few minutes with a delicious caramel latte. Overall a pleasant experience.
