Went here for dinner with husband and we definitely loved the food! We came in before it was busy so our food was served quickly. Enjoyed everything we ordered! Will definitely come back!

Best local restaurant! Great quality food every time. We got the shrimp avocado egg rolls which were to die for and our favorite classic the beet salad.

I have visited this place few times and like the vibe there and the staff is friendly. Pre-Covd they had a bar setup which is not there anymore. Their beers and food have been good mostly. Their House Lager - Helles: Slightly hazy, gold with fluffy white head. tastes very malty light hint of sweetness, sour, and bitter. Good refreshing beer. Goes well with the Asian Wings - Highly recommend! Has a spicy kick but not overwhelming and does not take away from a great flavor profile. Jala Black: Sweet ripeness of pineapple, with punchy jalapeño - Super!! Must Try! Tiramisu: Not that great

We came here for my sister's birthday dinner, so naturally, we had reservations. The staff seated us right away and made sure we had drinks, menus, napkins, and utensils right away. The waitress was very friendly and on point. She was quick to replenish our drinks before having to search for her and ask, which is always a great quality in a waitress. All of the appetizers and food were scrumptious and well portioned. You know the food is good when there is no food left on anyone's plates.

Had my daughters Bridal shower here at Gusto Grill. From corresponding with Lisa to the day of the shower everything was so simple and easy. The manager Karim was so nice and super attentive, all staff were awesome and service was great. Everyone loved the place and the food and drinks were delish. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a party. We've also had dinner here many times and always enjoy. Thank you Gusto Grill for making our celebration wonderful!

Food was delicious. Server very hospitable and timely. Never had to go looking, water refills were on point. Host was very nice. But the drinks….. rounded out my entire experience. Hats off to this establishment… definitely looking forward to future visits

3.5 stars which equals ok in my book. I haven’t been here since the new ownership took over around 4 months ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as good so I have to change my review. Today we had the fried goat cheese and the shrimp spring rolls as appetizers. The fried goat cheese is delicious, but not as good as before. The shrimp spring rolls were really tasty! For dinner we had the salmon and the swordfish special. The salmon dish was bland. The swordfish itself was decent, but the lentils and spinach it was served over was not tasty at all. It was a bunch of mush! For dessert I had the chocolate chip sundae topped with pumpkin gelato. That was delicious! The food overall was decent, but not great. I’ll give it another shot.

Had dinner here with my Brother-in-law. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Nicely decorated and spacious. I was impressed with how clean it was. Unfortunately, I feel the food here is overrated. I had the rice bowl with flank steak and found the flavor unusual. The steak however was ender. My Brother-in-law had a pasta and ground before dish. Nothing impressive. The prices were on the high side considering neither dish were extravagant. The same can be said about the bar and drinks. $6-8 for a glass of beer is excessive. The pork belly appetizer was delicious. Again, $15.00 for 3 small pieces of pork belly is over the top. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our meals to arrive. I feel there are better and more reasonably priced restaurant options.

One of my girlfriends and I got together to get brunch. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. I walked in and found my friend. We sat at the high tops and Brandon was our server. He was really good and attentive. For my drink I got the espresso martini and it was very tasty. For my meal I got the fish tacos. The tacos were good but super messy. My friend got a salad and she liked it. It was truly a good experience.

This was a very pleasant, unexpected surprise. My noble chum and I came here last Friday night before a punk concert at nearby Starland Ballroom (judging by some of the interesting hair colors in the dining area, we weren't the only ones). This is honestly one of my least favorite areas of the state, and I wasn't enthused about the nearby dining options on paper. Gusto Grill had a convenient location for us, and a fairly safe though slightly edgy cuisine we could both get behind. I arrived a few minutes before my friend and was able to grab a high-top table in the bar area very easily while I waited. Everyone I interacted with from the minute I got in the door was super courteous, professional and accessible - exactly what you want, and one of those intangibles you don't always get, unfortunately. I decided to get the Ghostly Encounter cocktail ($12), partly because of the name, partly because it had a unique/intriguing blend that included rose, vodka and the star of the show, house-made ghost pepper syrup. Did not disappoint - it definitely has a kick to it at the end, but I didn't find it over the top. Their bartender has a legit mixology skillset, which to me is 90% about walking the tightrope of different ingredients, and with ghost pepper syrup? You better know what you're doing so the patrons don't have smoke coming out of their ears. Fine work. We split the sesame ginger calamari ($18), and I opted for the sashimi tuna app ($22) as my entree. Both were very good. Calamari to me comes down to texture more than anything, and this dish had the perfect crispness to it - the fact that it was seasoned perfectly with a nice Asian zest was a bonus. We polished it off pretty quickly. The tuna was also excellent. I definitely wasn't as hungry as I could have been, so if you're walking in here with a legit appetite this is not something I'd get for your main meal. But it was the perfect portion for me. The tuna was fresh, and it's very similar to a sesame ahi tuna entree you'd get at a steakhouse (which I do get fairly often when I'm not feeling QUITE as carnivorous/assertive of my place at the top of the food chain). I already touched upon it briefly, but the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waiter came by often to check up on us, and I can't recall a single time when we were looking around or waiting for him to bring us a dish, the check, etc. We also were not the only people in the bar area (this was a Friday night around 6:30, so there was a decent crowd), and he still managed to show up pretty much the instant we wanted him. I don't know who's in charge of hiring for this place, but they know what they're doing. Strong, strong recommend. My chum, who is not given to effusive praise, remarked throughout the meal how impressed she was and that she wished they had a location further up north where we live. Gusto Grill is the rare breed that sets itself apart with a lot of unique flavors/offerings, but also with high quality service and hospitality. If you happen to find yourself in the area for a concert by a punk/alternative band that passed its prime 20 years ago, this is a great place to stop by beforehand.

Dinner was great and paired with two glasses of wine and 1 glass of whiskey. Both drinks were great. The chicken sandwich was banging but ask for their Asian sauce on the side! So worth it. The pasta was said to be house-made; the sauce was a ragu with short rib. It was delicious. The appetizer was pork belly. The cornbread-looking thing IS NOTHING like cornbread. I can’t even remember what the white thing is, but I never want to eat it again, lol. It was not good at all. The vibe is a bit weird; there are randomly only two small TVs. This place could easily be the spot if it had more TVs around the bar and back area. Or if they're going for the upscale dining type, lose the TVs and high tops. I don’t know what they’re trying to go for… However, everything else was terrific, and we will 100% come back!

The meal was great. Well cooked. The people that worked there were nice. The manager also was very friendly and made me feel like he knew me. Remembered my name throughout my time there and I only had told him once. The bread pudding was so good it left a great last impression for me to want to come back.

Intriguing menu does not disappoint! Shrimp and avocado spring rolls, chicken avocado club (one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had) shrimp Po boy, cheesecake, and apple crisp , all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Didn’t get a pic of the raspberry habanero margarita that my gf loved! Can’t wait to go back to try more. Food was great! Service was good. Reservations recommended.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. The calamari are amazing. The pizzas are fleshly made and delicious. White sangria or the mule are my drinks of choice. Definitely a great date night place or dinner and drinks with friends. Kid friendly as well. Outside dinning is available.

My girlfriend and I come here every other weekend. It is the best place in town, and we let one of the managers (James) know that every single time. The ambience is great, everything is modern and clean, the food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the service is amazing. All the employees are very professional, hospitable and actually look like they enjoy their jobs. Thank you James and everyone for always making our visit a great experience. It’s one of our favorite and “go-to” restaurants on our list. One recommendation I have is to include a steak dinner option in the menu, and I would always be here, ha!

We’ve been to Gusto’s probably 3 times previously and recently learned it was under new ownership so we decided to try it out. We started off with the roasted Brussels sprouts which were very good, however, were not as great like we had on previous visits. The chicken Parmigiana had cold chicken cutlets with cold cheese on warm rigatoni covered with warm vodka sauce, not very appetizing to say the least. We decided not to complain and just took the dish home to heat up another time. The other dish ordered was the Bulgogi bowl, which was a travesty of a dish. It was basically an oily coated dish of vegetables and beef with an extremely heavy dose of soy sauce over rice. The only good thing was that the vegetables were cooked while retaining a crispness with the beef cooked properly as well, what a shame. There was no flavor other than salty soy which anyone could make by pouring copious amounts of kikkoman from one’s pantry with the same results. Very disappointed as we expected the same consistent food we’ve had before and would have given 1 star, but the sprouts barely edged it up an additional star. Also, the service was not that great either, we were an afterthought and the restaurant was maybe a 1/4 filled. We will not be back, so sad, we had enjoyed this establishment under the previous ownership, even though it was only a few times over the last year or so. Lastly, the place looks great and appears enticing, however, in this case, looks are deceiving.

Really good food. Decent vegetarian options and the staff was very kind and helpful. The menu items can be customized to your dietary preferences which is great. Went here to celebrate good friends marriage and they were very kind.

My 1st visit on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away & our server was attentive. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was b/c I didn't enjoy the short ribs over polenta that I ordered, which was expensive. But I will go again & order something else.

Delicious restaurant that has been a gem in the East Brunswick community since 2006. Always a favorite go to for any occasion. The food is always fresh, good service and delicious drinks.

I had a reservation for 8 here on a Saturday night. We showed up and it did not take us long to be seated fun. We ordered drinks which took about 15 minutes to come out, which wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't so expensive. We ordered appetizers and mains and they took about 45 and an hour 15 respectively. I do understand we are a large party but all the parties around us were sat and fed in less time than it took for us to get our food. No one ordered anything special either that would have taken long to cook. The food was quite good I enjoyed a steak sandwich and some mac and cheese which were both quite good.
