Went through rt 18 and found this place . My wife and kids love fruits and wanted to try these bowls . We ordered Goji . Service was quick . Nice indoors and lots of seats around . Price was ok . Got a bowl for about 12$ which isn’t very expensive. Lovely presentation and we were waiting to eat the whole bowl. It was tasty . The only issue we had was with the crushed ice at the botttom . It was so cold when we digged in at bottom that our tooth froze .. wish they don’t put crushed ice at the bottom .. we also got sore throat right after we ate the bowl . If not for the crushed ice , I think it’s a brilliant food to eat … could have give. 4 stars , if not for our sore throat 😉 nice place overall…

Around the area, haven’t had Playa for awhile so I decided to stop in to get a smoothie. Not very busy, about 4-5 staff members working. Waited with my kids. After about 25-minutes of waiting, and noticing others receiving their orders before me, I asked if my smoothie was ready? The girl was nice, apologized, and advised they forgot. Ok, it happens. Maybe, next time, staff can be more aware of which customers are waiting and which orders haven’t been fulfilled. Or they can communicate, “hey, I apologize for the delay, order should be ready in the next 10-minutes. Communication is key for great customer service. I would have easily understood if maybe they advised me, “I’m sorry I’m running a little behind thank you for your patience.” But there were a reasonable amount of staff. The volume was balanced. Not busy nor slow. If 1 out 5 staff members would have inquired about me waiting, all would have been resolved in a timely manner. Rather, all failed to notice me waiting. My reason for rating a one star is because after waiting I noticed how dirty things were kept. Garbage left in multiple places, straws, used containers, cups, straw wrappers, flies in the refrigerated area where drinks are kept. They had an umbrella left in the middle of the entrance which is an accident waiting to happen. Outside also is dirty. Used spoons and left over food spilled from other people eating. If there is sufficient staff, one member of team should attend to at least cleaning the tables and picking up. The appearance is the foundation and impression of when customers come in, especially for those who are waiting. Would you trust a restaurant making your food that is unkept? Hope you guys consider this review and make improvements.

I love their bowls. I customer order mine, remove this add that, I always receive as ordered. Plus the location is close to home.

Do not go to the Playa bowls in East Brunswick NJ. for some reason they dont make their bowls like other locations. Last ones I purchased were 3/4 full at best. I ordered 4 different bowls and one had so much honey it was like glue, another one had no granola in it. as you can see one had a few strawberries and not even set up, just thrown in the bowl The 1st time i went there I had them. fix it, this time someone else picked them up, what a big Waste od $ 47. 00.. Never again at this location.

I got a regular açaí and a banana bowl here and was very happy with the purchase. They have an extensive menu so I would recommend looking at a menu before going in. The bowls were packed with toppings and were very fresh. The shop has a very laid back atmosphere and had good vibes. I recommend stopping in!

Always good. They never mess up the orders. The fruits are always fresh & taste good. There are so many flavors you can try thats so good. I never disliked any bowl/smoothie

Every time I come here the staff are so welcoming. And when I don’t know what to order they can give so many recommendations and even custom the bowls to exactly what I’m craving. Great location!

My season Pumpkin smoothie To Go order was ready on time. It was served with a smile and the atmosphere was so pleasant! All in all, it definitely made me want to come back! This smoothie was sooo delicious, I'll definitely be getting this again!

Life changing doesn’t even begin to describe the wonderful experience I had here. The moment I walked in I felt like I had just walked into a small açaí shop on a playa (beach in spanish). The bowls that they create are exquisite and SO DELICIOUS. I got a mango and chia bowls and it was an out of body experience. There is a ping pong table.The skill of the employees?? WOW. the way that the beautiful young lady serving me sliced up the bananas looked like she had been doing it for decades. I will be coming here EVERY SINGLE DAY. The employees are being kind especially the tall blonde with curly hair. If she isn’t assistant manager soon i might throw a fit!

It’s evening time and I’m craving a smoothie. It was super busy and Rachel, Avery, Jolen were holding it down! Super nice and courteous, I totally recommend this location. They even helped me find a new smoothie flavor!

I received 2 gift cards for Christmas for Playa Bowls. We tried using the gift cards online & on the app, both said it wasn’t accepting gift cards at this time. We called the store to see if they can make an acception & take the order over the phone. However, they refused because of “policy.” Use Marlboro location, as they take orders over the phone & have way better customer service.

By far the worst playa bowl I’ve been too. Paid full price for two bowls yet they came out half way. The employees were making their own bowls and talking while there was a line of customers waiting for their order. The girl at the register was great, everything else was not.

They were good but then there service has started to become slower and bananas have become bitter and hard. My girl and i tried to return the food after waiting for 40 minutes. The gave us a hard time and finally said they refunded me but it never actually happened.

I absolutely loved my first time going to PB!! I am California girl, so my expectations are high!!! And Playa Bowls definitely is #1 in NJ!!! Loved my coco berry bowl!!! Yummy!!!!!

I go to this location all the time. My order is ALWAYS correct! They’re also very respectful of an allergy I have. They staff is friendly and the interior is always clean with plenty of seating.

Amazing experience as always. Please look into getting an easier user experience on grub hub app. It seems the substitute options aren’t available on all bowls, even seasonal ones.

I come to this location occasionally but every time I do come they always make my bowls and smoothies the way I like it. Excellent service!

I love playa bowls. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. The workers are always polite and very speedy too.

Come here 2 to 3 times a week I love this place. I grew up eating açaí. But today I realized, short staff unprepared. Still love this place and I will come here as much as I can.

My absolute favorite place for a refreshing treat. I stop in multiple times when I’m in town. This location was great - clean, large with indoor and outdoor seating. And the açaí bowls - amazing!

Good evening, I purchased two Nutella bowls with extra Nutella and they are barely filled. I am unhappy with the outcome of spending $26.66 to two half full bowls. This is not right, at all. I will not be returning to this playa bowl. I am very unhappy with the product received. I did send an email the same night it happened and no response! Update: In response to your reply, I did email you on September 21st before I put this review up.

Every single time I order door dash from here they never get my order right. It's like the 3rd time! I don't even get the things I payed extra for.
