Opening night left much to be desired. Poorly mixed music with air horn sound effects and voiceovers every twenty seconds. Bartenders looked like they’ve never mixed drinks before and portions very small for price. Additionally, security did little to ensure the safety of guests. A guest who was either allowed in over-inebriated or was over-served shoved a girl to the ground and, while removed from the bar, security did nothing to follow up with the visibly injured girl. Upon requesting assistance, I was told that since he had already left there was nothing for them to do. I get that this is your first bar and can look past the music and drinks but if the safety of your guests isn’t your #1 priority you shouldn’t be open, simple as that. Shame on the security and management team tonight.

the bouncers are very clearly undertrained because they think every out of state license is fake even if they are REAL i am visiting from out of state and was denied into the bar because i had an out of state license and he refused to scan it??? they need to hire more qualified people lol- the bouncer has one job and they are fully incompetent at it. so embarrassing for this establishment.

I've been here many times. It's a great college bar with quality booze, friendly and professional staff, and the exact crowd you'd expect on a college campus. If this means you want a quiet tavern with food, this isn't the place for you. It's loud, it's sticky and the patrons are young. Knowing this, it's a great time and was one of my go to bars when I went to Rutgers. I can't complain about it, and the people expecting a different experience shouldn't be giving low ratings because it wasn't their style. I'm not gonna go to an Irish pub, then rant and give 2 stars because they didn't have a loud EDM dance floor, you get the idea.

At first I was iffy but after spending a bit here it was great. The music was throwback 2000s rap and r&b and then had some other stuff in between. The area is a little spacious considering the amount of people in the bar. Definitely would go again!

Ahh, the good ol' "Grail". . . Been here plenty of times during my younger ventures in my college years - They've renovated the place with some new entertainment systems added: a new audio system with an upgraded DJ Booth - Plenty of drinks and to my surprise 'Top-Shelf' liquors on the ready to be served in your shot glass or cup. Prices are reasonable and infact a little cheaper than some of the other haunts on Easton Avenue - Had a great time during the World Cup finals of ARG v. FRA. The Owners are kind, and friendly - glad to serve drinks with some bar snacks (last time there was goldfish crackers & pretzel filled peanut butter nuggets) You can also stop by for a coffee here and have it with a shot of soju, which makes it really tasty. 😋

Came to watch premier league soccer match. Good crowd, good vibes and cheap drinks.

Only popular while school is in, doesn't have the best music selection, great staff though, nice drink selections, a wheel for birthday people to spin which my friends and I used to determine our next drinks. Prices were affordable and the drinks were mixed just right. Besides the lack of people everything seemed nice. Will consider going back when school roll back around; in the mean time I'd attend a different bar.

Nice little dive with some great gimmicks. Spin the shot wheel, karaoke every Wednesday. Great prices for a college town.

You never know what you’re gonna get with this place. It varies every night sometimes even within an evening. Be aware of your surroundings in here as you are your own security and do not pay with card.

Not going to lie, sometimes it smells like feet when I first walk in if I haven't been drinking yet...but around 10/11pm on the weekend, when the DJ sets up, me and my lady come rollin up to start the party. If people aren't dancing yet during prime time, we probably didn't get there yet...haha The male bartenders are fantastic. Good drink specials...birthday wheel to spin for a prize(aka free drink!!). Definitely a good time... Come with some good friends or come to make some new ones!

Golden rail is good for what it is, a cheap college bar. They have a surprisingly good draft selection, good specials, and if you get there you can essentially own the place while watching the game. No food but that's ok. Classic party spot and gets busy after 1030 or 11

Young short male bartender took my debit card to buy 2 drinks, handed me back a receipt and no card and practically told me I was crazy because I couldn’t find the debit card that they never gave back to me. Sad establishment with clueless employees that never gave me back my debit card! They literally manage a hoard of customers so badly that they lose customers cards! Big hassle and will never be coming back to this bar ever

I was warned not to go here but I made the venture anyways. Not to my surprise, I was very disappointed. The floors were sticky and the bathrooms looked unfinished and horrific. The drinks were over priced for the amount that they give you. I should have listened to my friend and never entered this bar.

Sadly, Golden Rail burned down my senior year of college. But I've been back since and got to go before and hands down this is the best bar in NB. By far the best beer selection - even better then Stuff Yer Face - and drink specials. The staff is friendly and always welcoming - with and without a fake id. The men's bathroom sucks, but oh well. Lots of TVs!

They charge a $15 minimum plus a $2 surcharge if you use a credit card. The place was completely empty and it was homecoming. I'm giving 3 stars because the bartenders were nice and they played good music.

Probably the best out of all the bars and pubs in the area. The staff is quick and professional. The bartenders were also quick and professional, but had amazing hearing with 50+ people and the loudest music known blasting. Met a girl named Destinee, we talked for a bit. Engineering major(mechanical). I eneded up buying her shy friend, Kora, a drink and talking with her for a few minutes, then said goodnight and left with my friends back home. All in all, this place had the best environment to drink, dance, and talk with people without having to shout to get a word in. 10 outta 10.

PLEASE IF GOING HERE BRING CASH! THEY ADD ON THEIR OWN TIPS ON CARD PURCHASES. ONE OF MY BILLS FOR THIS WEEKND WAS 6$ I TIPPED IN CASH. LOOKED AT MY BANK STATEMENT TODAY AND WAS CHARGED 10$ FOR THAT BILL!
