Came here for a late night with friends and had an excellent time! Our martinis were absolutely delicious and tasted exactly as promised- the Italian Ice and Apple Pie were amazing. The food was great too and the service was prompt and very friendly! Very reasonable prices for the great quality. Overall definitely glad to stop in and highly recommend it.

Food and drinks 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Price 4/5 It is one of the most beloved places in New Brunswick downtown. I have been there a few times. I like their food but I personally feel it is a tiny bit over rated. Prices are a little high for the food which is a standard for all the good restaurants in New Brunswick! It's a good option for a date.

Food is delicious, drinks are amazing! Highly recommend the Mint Mojito. We had the Mint Mojito, Destroyer & the Clydz Classic for Drinks. For Appetizers we had the Octupus and the Alligator in a Blanket which had a little bit of a Kick to it. For Dinner we had Duck, Lamb Chop and Shrimp. The one we highly recommend are the Lamb Chops, they were cooked to perfection and we're so tender it almost melted in your mouth!! Bathrooms are Downstairs - this is definitely a Date Night type of Place.

This place is a must go to if near New Brunswick. The cocktails are very well crafted and the menu is well thought out and executed. The house made duck gnocchi was a home run. John the GM is super professional and informative. I will definitely visit again.

I believe this place is more so for the drinks than food. We were here for dinner and the place got extremely loud as we could barely hear each other talk. As a vegetarian there were barely any entree options besides one to choose from so I got a side dish (3 pieces of pierogi) as my main course. It tasted good but as an 'American' restaurant I'd think this place would have more veg sandwiches etc. as options but no! I wouldn't go off the menu shown on Google as the options weren't the same. Overall I'd say not for me.

Amazing drinks and appetizers! The entrees we ordered were average/good. Didn't blow us away but will definitely be back. They have outdoor seating available as well as bar and dining room. Great atmosphere and the staff was so friendly. We had multiple workers stopping by our table to check on us throughout the night and had great drink recommendations.

OFF THE CHARTS DELICIOUS!!! It has been a few years since I’ve been to Clydz. Went with a few friends as we wanted a night out with good food and drinks. We were not disappointed! The bar menu has expanded and the bartender made perfect drinks. The place looked updated and the menu was new. The 3 of us shared 2 appetizers and 3 main courses. Each dish was better than the next. We had the Asian Pork Belly Tacos, Squash stuffed with Ricotta cheese, “Brontosaurus” Short Rib, Chicken Parmesan “Pizza” and the Duck Gnocchi. Not a single leftover! Each and every bite was tasty and we sent lots of compliments to the chef(s). Not only would I go back again, but it would be hard not to order some of those dishes again. 6 stars if possible!

A hidden gem in New Brunswick! If you’re tired of the boring, generic American pubs and you’re looking for something cozy, this is definitely the place to go. They have reasonably priced drinks, and I have yet to try their food! Edit: I went back multiple times and tried their food. The oysters were delicious but really tiny. Their burgers and sandwiches were alright but much too overpriced. It was also a little annoying they charged $3 to switch chips for normal fries. But the atmosphere and drinks were great as usual so I still give this place a 5/5

Female bartender was really rude and wouldn’t serve me and my friend. She would just tell the other bartender to serve. She has an angry face and does not even try to ask “do you need anything else”. I understand service industry as my parents own a deli and my brother is a chef but also understand that customer service is what also attracts repeat customers.

Great menu with an interesting array of choices. There are many unique dishes and cocktails to try. Most of what we ordered was delicious and flavorful. The pork chop was my amazing...soft like butter and perfectly seasoned. The duck was delicious as well. The only thing that wasn't great was the steak. It was chewy and just not great. We will definitely be back to try again.

If you're looking for a memorable bar staff and one of the oldest watering holes in town, Clydz is the place to be. The name has been synonymous as a speakeasy for over three decades and still offers the best in service as well as some Top Notch cocktails and delicious food now that Chef Shack Jackie Mazza has returned to Mew Brunswick! Their intimate seating and soft lighting makes fit a perfect date night spot, with cocktails galore and delighting desserts.

Absolutely love Clydz! Great vibe and wonderful assortment of martini and cocktails! Love that the owner comes over to chat with guests. This place reminds me of a speakeasy type with its cozy atmosphere and intimate hide outs near the bar. Great place to get a bite to eat before a show at state theatre. Menu is just enough for everyone to find something to eat. Love the exotic choices, too.

Food was awesome. Had crab legs, Brussel sprouts and perrogies for appetizers. For dinner shared chicken breast that was cooked perfectly. Also had the duck and Gnocchi. That was so good, going back soon just for that. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Bartenders came to us because bar was full. Thanks! And great atmosphere. Went for a romantic evening.

So strange to realize I had not been to Clydz in 20 years. I lived across the street and it was my neighborhood bar. It is definitely more grown up than how I remembered it. Gone is the 2 foot long list of martinis. The bar has evolved into a tight and well thoughtout bar program that is perfectly executed. Dinner is still awesome (although I do miss what was a wild game forward menu) and complimented by friendly and diligent service - which has never changed. We had a blast and look forward to returning a lot sooner than 20 years.

The restaurant was famous for its martinis and used to be its exotic game offierings. But it has cut back; you don’t see ostrich, python, etc. on the menu any more. We started with a delicious lychee martini. For starters we had a house salad, which is very sharable, and fried calamari. For entrees we had roasted organic chicken and linguine pescatore. The chicken was tender and juicy and the linguine was loaded with seafood. We ended the meal sharing a slice of chocolate fudge cake, which was huge, moist, and dense. Strongly recommend it

My friends and i have been coming here for birthdays. Drink are a little pricey, but Quality. You do get what you are paying for. Food is also very good. If you are coming for drinks and food expect $40-60 per person

Overall was a good experience, went for a date. Prices are tad high for what the food is. I got the Arctic char, which was described as a "hybrid" between two fish, which was a little odd. However, service was great, drink prices were reasonable, bartenders were friendly and on top of orders. Would recommend.

We have eaten at Clydz about once a year for the last 8 years and every time the experience is top notch. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and full of flavor. The service is always excellent. The cocktails are unique and really awesome. Service is always timely and they try to accommodate whatever you need. The atmosphere is awesome. I think Clydz has evething you could want in a great restaurant experience. I met my wife here and we will always come back to visit it fondly. Easiest 5 stars ever.

Cozy bar with a cool, rustic old school feel to it. Lighting sets the mood for the perfect night out with friends, and the music is just the right volume. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the servers are really nice. The actual bar is a pretty tight space - there's a long bar with stools and another row of chairs lining the back wall just a few feet apart. People who dont get seating are typically standing in between. Can sometimes be tight but has never been a huge setback if you're out for just a few drinks. They have a restaurant attached in the back for something more formal and outdoor seating for a more casual scene. I've been here a few times and have always had a good evening.

Visiting from out of town and glad I found this place. Came on a Monday so it was quiet. Was hoping for a more lively atmosphere but ultimately didn’t mind. Sat at the bar…and the service was very friendly and laid back. Food and drinks were great. Had the pork chop which was amazing…cheesecake was great too! Highly recommend.
