Very nice latino restaurant to celebrate parties. We had planned for farewell to our neighbor and turned out to be well. Pros: 1. Variety of drinks, wines, spirits. 2. Place to dance on the floor. 3. Staffs cheer up for birthday babies with flash lights. 4. Bring your own cakes to celebrate. 5. Food arrives to the table pretty quick. Cons: 1. Slightly expensive. Not a big deal 2. Need advanced reservation and still expect wait time. Worth the wait. 3. Loud Music. Noisy environment. If you’re looking for noiseless ambient place, then this is not it.

Very chill Cuban restaurant with a cool aesthetic. The staff is welcoming and attentive & the food is fantastic! It's super fresh and seasoned perfectly. We love to go and share small plates (chicken empanadas and Cuban chicken bites are favorites), but their entrees are fantastic, too. They have great daily drink specials (the Limonada is *chef's kiss*) and happy hour specials for drinks and appetizers, too.

Worst paella ever. I was so disappointed with this food. I'm reviewing while I'm gagging on my food. I ordered take out $155 worth and it was horrible. First the chicken wing appetizer wasn't cooked all the way through. The tamarind sauce and guava sauce were good though but not the chicken. The paella had closed mussels in it.. who does that?? The shrimp was as tough as rubber and the straw that broke the camels back was that there was no lobster oh wait a half of a lobster tail and they put imitation crab meat.. Again. I ASK WHO DOES THAT. The rice was way too mushy for $35 come on. I also got the half of chicken which looked like it was covered in so much sauce because it was stale smh. We haven't tried the salmon yet or the dessert. I can only hope that those are good. This was an epic fail.

There's nothing like celebrating the holidays in a Latin restaurant! It reminded me as a kid, having plenty of family over and enjoying the food, the laughs and the music! The festivities were on tonight and it was quite enjoyable. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I appreciated how one of the managers came over to our table to see if everything was okay with our meal. We really enjoyed our meal and ambiance right before a night time show at the State Theatre. We will definitely come back again!

It's been a long time since we ate something so good and of such quality. If it is true that the site is a bit small and on weekends it will surely be very crowded. But the food is excellent, each dish you try makes you want to try another one that brings out other diners. A highly recommended site

The place is really beautiful inside. I enjoyed the food. You might have to park at a different since they don’t have alot of parking space. Highly recommend

Wonderful service. Delucious food. Lovely atmosphere. And parking right across the street in a garage.

One of my girlfriends and I decided to meet up and get dinner and drinks. When I arrived I found parking right in the small parking lot of the restaurant. I walked in and asked the hostess if I could sit at the bar and I did. The restaurant was super cute and I really liked the art behind the bar. Our bartenders were Casey and Emelson and they were awesome. For a starter drink I got one of the red sangrias and it was tasty. My friend got a mojito and she liked it. On the menu there are a few vegetarian options so I went with the pasta latina and my friend got the salmon. My meal was pretty good and my friend said her salmon was so good. The next drink we got was different margaritas. The first one I attempted was the rum margarita but after one sip I sent it back because I didn't care for the taste. I ended up with the regular margarita which was tasty. My friend liked the honeydew margarita. The bill came to about $37. We had a real good time and will be back.

It started great, very nice and clean. The food was better than good. Almost great. The rice needed some work. Over all, the food was good. The drinks were nice. Desert, awesome. Expresso on point. Our waiter was a good guy, but disappeared for a bit. Seemed to be a bit busy with multiple tables I guess. But he made up for it in kindness and great service when we did see him. The bad part was that we didn't know a place this nice was kareokee. No offense to kareokee, but the kareokee guy had bad mics, and technical issues, and then he had the music up so high we could not have a conversation without screaming. It turned out a bit weird for us. We had a break and regular music for a minute, but then back to the weirdness. We left as fast as we could after the Latin Corner turned into Hotel California. But the food though...very good. Try and skip Karenyokee, unless that's your thing.

Love the food and atmosphere. They have a nice selection of drink and dished. The servings are not huge, but the favor was great. It is a nice restaurant with a lot of flavor and great music.

Good Place and Nice ambience! The vibe was great.. lot of food and drink options but a bit expensive side but i think worth it. Its usually crowded on weekends specially so make sure to get a reservation. The music was bit loud so if you're looking for calmer place may be you can take outside seating. Rice definitely need some work and cocktail i ordered had too many flavors not great enough.

My boyfriend and I went here for an anniversary dinner. The owner and the staff were great and the environment was even better. We loved their food and there was no hesitation to ask if we were okay or needed anything. I also really loved how they put flowers on every food and drink! I would recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed Esquina! We dined on a Sunday evening after a performance at the State Theatre. We had made reservations but they were not needed. About half the tables were occupied with a steady flow of diners. We had decided before hand to stay strictly with appetizers and we were not disappointed! First we had chicken and beef empanadas (I think the chicken was more flavorful) with an amazingly spicy sauce along and the croquetas which were OK but nothing to write home about. Next we had the Tostones Rellenos with shrimp. We thought the plantains were over done and the shrimp nearly indistinguishable but none the less was enjoyable. Next we had the Cuban chicken bites which were the deal of the day. We loved the coating (spicy BBQ sauce) and the crunchy texture. Overall the empanadas were the best. Drinks are available and reasonable. I had the Fuego but was underwhelmed with the heat and the liquor content. I had 2 and didn't even get a buzz. Oh well. Service was great. The ambiance was very "clubby" with a steady diet of Latin inspired heavy bass dance tracks. The bathrooms are clean, warm and well appointed. Perhaps we will try the entrees next time but I would go again for the appetizers.

The decor, music, and atmosphere was nice, and the staff was attentive. Fried Calamari was not crispy, and the shrimp in the paella wasn't cleaned properly as you could taste it in the dish. That said the portions were good sized. The drinks were strong and tasty however the alcohol used could have been a better quality as it had that bottom shelf burn which detracted from the overall drink. Will try again as they have drink special daily, to see if perhaps that was the issue

Tasty!!! Everything was delicious. The asparagus were amazing. Korean cut rib was full of flavor. The place can be somewhat crowded but it is a great environment overall with good choice of music playing in the background.

Really loved this place. Food was delicious menu was very interesting and the bartender has a heavy hand! Highly recommend the tamale appetizer and the oxtail entree, which was phenomenal. A big plus is the parking lot right outside the restaurant which is a huge bonus in a city like New Brunswick. Waitstaff was great, I can't say enough. Latin food, big emphasis on Cuban. Drinks, appetizers and dinner for five came to around 325. Go there. You'll love it.

Excellent service by Gaby! Thank you, great service always makes the difference! The food was so carefully crafted , and flavorful, delicious mojito, we saw the manager going table by table assuring everyone was having a good time and checking on people’s experience. I was very impressed by the attention to detail in their service . The place was packed Friday 6pm and our food came out in a timely manner , a great great experience!! Will definitely come back and tell everyone about this place!

A couple of friends and I were there Friday 1/26. We had been there for food which is excelente, that day we went to dance. The music and atmosphere was cool, but I am disappointed about how one of the security guards mistreated us. At the entrance, we were asked to pay 4dls for each jacket we wanted to storage in the closet, we decided to do not pay and have them with us. A nice couple let us to put them on their sits, but that guy immediately pick them up and give them back to us, arguing that that was not place for cloths even when the couple had them there. Then, there was a space next to the PA speaker where we placed them, and the same happened with the guy being very rude. Finally, another friends who had booked a table arrived, we joined them and ordered a bottle, then we treated respectfully and although we placed again our jackets in the same place we previously did, this time there was no problem. I mean, it seems like you are treated respectfully if they see that you are spending good money at the place but not if you just have a drink at the bar and want to dance.

Really good food and great service. They were happy to let us share two entrées between three. Service was quick and the food was delicious. Not cheap, but not overly expensive either.

We usually go here for dancing every time I visit NJ. This is my first time dining at this place. This is my own opinion. We book for 01/31/22 at 5:00 PM dinner. We were the first diner since they just opened. Service was great. Food - 2 Stars The best I think was the pork belly. I had the calamari in red sauce and it was too sour. Not sure if they have vinegar sale in New Brunswick but it was too much. I had the steak and it was mediocre. Desert was creme brulee and it was totally different. It was more like a pudding. Did not like it much. I am giving it 2 stars because the Men's bathroom was very dirty. I lost my appetite after I used it. I was expecting that since they just open and we are the first diner that the bathroom will be clean. One of the urinal was full of toilet paper (there's only two). The two stall for toilet one was clogged and splatter of feces all over the place. The second toilet just all yellow and no one flushed it. This was the turn off for me. Sorry. Will definitely go there again to dance.

Ate dinner here last night. Everything was delicious - guacamole salad was super fresh. I ate salmon with spinach and mashed sweet potato. The salmon with a red sauce was fantastic, as were the two sides. Desserts - a mango cheesecake for my husband and a chocolate mousse for me were sublime. Everything was presented beautifully - with edible flowers. We sat outside on the patio where there was a lively, festive atmosphere. And our server, Lynette was friendly, efficient, helpful with suggestions and answered any questions we had. She had a great sense of humor and made our evening there perfect! Would give this restaurant and Lynette 10 stars if I could. Logistically, great parking and conveniently located near the theaters. Thank you💜

The best Cuban cuisine I have had. Their sangrias is a must to try at this location. Great food, great ambience and good service. Also this place turns into a dance club on Friday nights 🥳😉

My Girlfriends and I visited Esquina Latina for my farewell dinner and it was beautiful! From the music, to the drinks we had a blast. The place was very inviting and picture perfect. The food was extremely tasty. I had pulled beef on rice as my entrée and the girls had juicy empanadas with a side of rice and peas and pork ribs with mashed potatoes.(Pictures Below) We also shared an appetizer of cassava fries with this amazing dip that I need the recipe to and we shared a dessert of churros with ice cream. Delicious is an understatement! Our waiter was on point. She assisted us with all of our questions and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. They have exquisite hospitality. The manager came over and checked on us as well to make sure everything was great. We were extremely pleased by the service at this beautiful restaurant. The drinks were immaculate. I only had 2 drinks and a shot and I was feeling pretty good on my way out. All of us enjoyed our drinks and they all came with an interesting twist. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Whether you’re going for a date night, graduation, birthday, bachelor party, girls night out, whatever it is I know you’ll have an unforgettable experience. So take my word for it and make a reservation at Esquina Latina!

Fusion of cuban and Latin cuisine. Chic restaurant and Lounge known for their tapas and sangrias. We had made reservation to this place for my friends bday 5 days in advance. Service : WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!! The staff is cold, not friendly, seemed very stressed. Our server Osmany was rude to us and not helpful at all, didn’t take our order patiently, took 20-30mins to get our order. They struggled to fill out water glasses firstly and seemed to disappear. We ordered our drinks and he took 15-20mins to get our drinks all together, we had to remind him about that again and again. Forget about getting refills all the ice had melted in our cups before we could get it refilled. The only person who smiled at me and was warm was the hostess at the door, it was downhill from there. Food: We had decided before hand to stay strictly with appetizers and we were not disappointed. We also the Cuban bites which were the deal of the day. We loved the coating (spicy BBQ sauce) and the crunchy texture. Food overall was great. Drinks: We had red tropical sangria but was underwhelmed with the heat and the liquor content. I had 2 and didn't even get a buzz. The cadillac margarita was amazing, I recommend that. Also, the drinks were too pricey. Our order: 1. Tropical Sangria ⭐️ 2. Cadillac Margarita ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3. Cuban Guacamole platter with plantains, potato chips…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. Croquetas ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5. Vegetarian empanadas ⭐️⭐️ 6. Cuban chicken bites ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 7. Vegetable Paella ⭐️ The ambiance and the vibe is very hard to beat with inspired heavy bass dance track but we won’t e returning

The place has a nice ambiance and it looks like people go there to start their night and then go clubbing based on the vibe I felt. The drinks were ok, they tasted good but they were not outstanding. The food was well garnished and was seasoned well, but not agressively and some items needed to be thought out better such as the ribs, my husband had a hard time eating the rib, it could have helped if it was more tender. I had the salmon, which was delicious. It comes with sautee spinach, which were also very tasty, but it also had sweet potato, which did not belong on that dish to me, it was too sweet, I would have rather just regular mash potatoes. My sister had rabo encendio and it was good, but it could be better as it was season moderately. The shrimp empanadas were so good! Try the churros, so creamy inside! Overall a great experience. I would go back again if in the area! This area is really nice and it seems like it has an active night life.

It was my first time and I went with my girlfriends. The food was exquisite. Atmosphere was fun. Our waitress was the best I believe her name was Larissa. The manager came by our table to see how everything was. I will be back again for sure.

This is our go to place when we are in New Brunswick for an event or performance. Last night’s visit did not disappoint. Our server, Lynette, was attentive, gracious, and made an absolutely delicious decaf cappuccino to finish our meal. I had the avocado salad with salmon, and my husband had the pernil, both were terrific. So were our cocktails, with just the right mix of interesting flavors on the margaritas. Really it was a banner night, from a highly dependable, always fun, and delicious restaurant.
