The Stone Museum is surreal. I went here once when I was eight years old for about an hour, and ever since, I've been having recurring survival-horror nightmares involving aggressive zombies and/or invading Chinamen chasing me throughout the museum. Think about the return on investment here: spend one hour in The Stone Museum AS A CHILD, and have entertaining, action-packed dreams set there for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. One visit practically pays for itself after the first two nightmares!

I loved this quirky place. I think it is closed now, too bad. It was really special.

A nice place to take a walk, even though it is in the middle of nowhere. Most if it is rundown but it is worth a look at least once. Their rock museum is also interesting, though you can't touch the rocks, which is disappointing.

Free to the public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons, the Stone Museum is currently closed until Spring 2017. A lot of the unrefined rocks and dinosaur bones here have been donated from Monmouth University. The Stone Museum itself is a small building that is part of a larger estate that includes Greek's Playland and several catering spaces.

Met the owner on a fluke...just drove in to see what it was about and there was this guy, they call him "The Greek". We started talking and he took me for a tour! Totally awesome place and awesome guy. Definitely worth going. A lot of beautiful and interesting things to take pics of. Good background to family portraits.
