A beautiful, small garden in downtown Princeton. Meticulously maintained grounds. I have not gone to the museum but does look like an interesting attraction.

Great place to visit I. Princeton, they have a fantastic grand father clock show there! You can hear the old clocks chime. The history of the house is cool as well and they have a detailed tour, which was fun.

It was a lovely Autumn day so we decided to finally visit Morven, the original home of some of New Jersey's earlier Governors. Overall, it was an interesting place to see and walk through, but it could be so much better. We had the unfortunate luck of arriving on a day when there weren't any volunteer docents, so we had to walk through without the benefit of any knowledgeable guidance. Which caused me to wonder why, in this day and age, there weren't any 'self-guided audio tours' offered; Morven literally calls out for such tours! The exhibits were basically well-laid out and the 'special exhibit' currently being shown is a display of Grandfather Clocks from 1730-1830. They were beautiful and some of them were still working! The gardens were peaceful and reflective. There is ample parking. Morven is worth a visit but I can't help but think of what it COULD be.

Went there mostly for the Festival of Christmas trees, having been there before for the Lindberg exhibit a few years ago. The trees and fire place decorations were a terrific contribution to the Holiday season and exhibited the skills and spirit of the various groups and clubs that were responsible for the decorations. Well done indeed. The History of Morven is well told and presented and the wildlife artistry of Gerard Rutgers Hardenbergh very well represented. It was a great way to start an evening of enjoying the Holiday lights and Christmas decorations while walking around Princeton, topped off with a great diner in town st one of our favorite restaurants.

Historic non profit organization outside of Princeton. Rich in history of the area dating way back when this was a sitting governor's home. The tour is well organized and the guides are very good.

Morven was the former residence of the Governor of New Jersey, until after the administration of Governor Byrne. It has become a Museum with Gardens, offering a permanent and revolving exhibits. The permanent exhibit provides interesting background on the house's former residents, including Richard Stockton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Well worth an afternoon! (In case you're wondering the current residence of the Governor is Drumthwacket about a mile further south on Stockton Street. It's a larger home on a bigger property, which occasionally opens for public tours.)

Quick family visit to the Festival of Trees. Everyone enjoyed the themed trees and mantle displays and the museum’s regular exhibits as well. Definitely visit and don’t be afraid to bring the teens.

If you want to show your kids what a pay phone looks like, definitely come here. There is a lot of information displayed at this Museum and a lot of historical documentation about the Morven House. The gift shop is cute. I went to the Drumthwacket Tour and received a $1 off coupon. Entry was $9.

The gardens are beautiful and they change up the plants they grow each year. Lillies bring out hummingbirds.

Really nice place to visit. They have outdoor and indoor spaces. You need a ticket to go to the indoor part. Not too overwhelming with exhibits, but has some really rare pieces of furniture, garments, art etc. Second floor's exhibit changes once in a while. The lady guide was very knowledgeable and welcoming, telling us many stories. Peaceful and quiet here. Their gift shop was actually very nice, with many tempting little things, very reasonably priced. Outdoor garden is free to walk through and enjoy. Sometimes they have events going on there. Definitely worth to check out on the website what is happening and when.

Morven Museum is a beautiful spot. I came for the Roosevelt exhibit and was very impressed. It's really great to dive deeper into our local history... makes you appreciate your surroundings much more. I collect pins and was happy to see a pin honoring their festival of trees. Easy to find. They have on site parking, but we parked in Palmer Square and enjoyed a nice walk over.

Always nice staff. Great exhibits, currently over 50 Tall case clocks, all made in New Jersey. We also saw their annual Festval of Trees, which is always beautiful and designed by local garden clubs.

I was surprised to find this museum when all I wanted was to stretch my legs at the Princeton Battle Monument next door. It was a very pleasant surprise. The first floor tells the history of the house and homeowners from colonial leaders to commander of US Navy's Pacific Fleet to CEO of Johnson & Johnson. There's a wonderfully extensive exhibit on the second floor of clocks made in New Jersey. Such a great gem of a museum. Well worth a stop if passing through Princeton. The gardens were nice as well. The flowers were blooming this weekend.

We were not sure what to expect and the information provided by our guide Chris was excellent! What great local history and we learned so much. Definately would recommend a visit. The gardens were beautiful too and everyone was so friendly.

A small museum but a decent place to walk through with kids, especially on a rainy or cold day. Interesting exhibits on the evolution of the telephone. The holiday Festival is Trees is worth a visit.

Morven has a lovely tour, friendly tour guides, and a nice large lawn for kids to run around in. The garden is nicely kept, even in winter. We came for the Festival of Trees. The trees were decorated by local groups and they were beautiful, but there were only a few. Worth the trip if you also love to stroll the grounds, and we do.

Small museum but worth visiting. Beautiful ground around the museum which you can walk in absolutely free.

Historic Governor's mansion that was also the place of a settler family from pre revolutionary times and the house of a signer of Declaration of Independence. Plus they have a collection of grandfather clocks that were made in the neighborhood. Nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Very cool, sort of tucked away experience. We went for the Christmas tree and mantle contest, and those were awesome. We went to learn about NJ communications and Mama Bell as an afterthought, but it turned out to be a far more entertaining and interesting experience than we previously thought. Staff is super friendly.
