I am REALLY disappointed that my family paid close to $100.00 for 3 adults and 1 child to enjoy Northlandz. Unfortunately, we drove nearly 2 hours and did not enjoy this experience at all. Actually, the whole walk through was terrifying to my nephew and gave the adults the creeps. We arrived at 10:00am and started our visit with finding out the train wasn’t running outside. That was the experience we were most looking forward to, but were trying to make the most of our visit anyway. A fraction of the trains were not running on the inside display. We stared at numerous windows just waiting for trains to pass by and most times they never did. The displays were old and dated; many with gaping holes and broken scenery. I also want to point out that MANY of the interactive buttons spread out amongst the displays were not working. There were cords hanging out in the common areas that pose dangers to young children. At one point we came across a woman working on a doll house with a messy work space right in the walkway of the tour. The worst part of the whole thing, if it wasn’t being disappointed by the quality of the displays, were the creepy dolls and mismatched memorabilia. It was like a rummage sale. Our poor little guy was scared around every corner because of the hundreds of Victorian style dolls. I don’t really understand what they have to do with trains? For the price, we expected A LOT more. I guess next time we will stick with going to the Lancaster area to their numerous FANTASTIC, and up-to-date displays that cost much less.

Very nice for young children and train hobbyists. If you're going for the first time, definitely find Grandma's Treasure. It's a live I Spy game :) Don't buy tickets in advance for the train ride! It may be in the yard for maintenance. Hope they'll add more snowy mountain or even fall scenery in the future!

First time coming to Northalandz as my son always wanted to come. The employees are very friendly specially the lady at the counter. She introduce us to the place and gave us really good detail info about the place. We really love the detail of the trains and the architecture. We will be back for sure.

What a place to visit. Knowing that everything was handcrafted was incredible and it made the visit even better! The scale is MUCH bigger than I thought. Definitely a place to visit for all train enthusiasts! :) Also — read the little facts/notes!

This place is magnificent. So large I can’t fit it in one photo. 10/10 recommend to anyone who loves trains. I can even comprehend how much work went into this. The grandma hunt was also really good.

You need at least 2 hours to see the indoor space. It's huge! There's a lot of detail in the landscape work and so many trains!! We loved that there were interactive activities for kids along the way and a scavenger hunt for them to do.

We brought our grandson here and had a wonderful visit. Anna at the front desk couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. She’s a gem!

This place is bananas. I could not get over the level of detail that goes into all of the displays, dioramas, and how everything is presented throughout the entire walk through this huge place. Definitely wear comfortable shoes, it's quite a bit of walking, but absolutely worth it. I can't believe I've passed by this place for so long and never went. 100% recommend heading here and spending a few hours. Just amazing. There's also plenty of parking, and it's so easy to find, right off route 202, just north of the Flemington circle.

Brought my toddler, he was amazed. Not something you see everyday. Impressive craftsmanship. All of the interactive buttons worked. This place is different. Some people may say the antique dolls and toys are creepy, but I was impressed with the collections . Very unique. Also, the gift shop had some unique finds and authentic, older trains. I hope the outdoor train gets up and running soon 🙏

This museum was really cool. My children really enjoyed the train display. However, the price of admission wasn't worth it. I understand why it was so expensive, but they could at least lower the admission for children under 12.

My boyfriend and I had a really wonderful time at Northlandz! We were both very interested in the processes behind this attraction, and when we voiced our interest to a member of the staff, he was kind enough to take us on a behind the scenes tour. It was really magical! Truly the best place that Flemington has to offer.

The claim is that this is the largest indoor model train in the world. I can not verify that but it certainly is amazingly large and complex. Very entertaining if you are into HO model trains and not only. Something you need to see in person and make sure you reserve at least a couple for a proper experience.

It is quite an amazing place and so much more than just trains. The scenery the trains run through is unlike anything I’ve ever seen anywhere. We spent 3 hours walking through the place. The only issue was the outdoor train is not running and there is no indication of that on the web site or Facebook page. A note that part of the attraction is closed would be nice so that people don’t come and end up disappointed.

Visited this place after reading the online description. It was larger and more realistic than we imagined. One cannot appreciate enough, the level of detail that is presented. If you’d like to see a miniature world with trains, this is the place to go. My kid felt wowed at many of their displays. It took us 2 hours to complete the tour. Do recommend!

Northlandz has recently gotten quite a makeover! The facilities are feeling cleaner and brighter and it’s clear that this amazing spectacle is loved and being well cared for. When I visited recently with my son it was not particularly busy even though it was a weekend day and they were hosting an event in the party room. We had a nice time wandering through the winding paths of the layout. At five my son primarily likes the parts where you get to push buttons and interact, whereas I enjoy seeing the craft that has gone in to the elaborate scenes. Some of the buttons weren’t functional but most of them triggered a light, sound or train movement. Seeing the analog equipment used for the controls is my personal favorite part!

We’ve passed Northlandz for years and this was the first time we decided to stop by and I’m so thankful we finally did. So much to see, so detailed, clean, and so many trains running! The whole family loved it. We will definitely come back and I’d recommend anyone, young and old to come check it out too.

Definitely would recommend! Lots to this train museum- not just trains. Lots of trivia to learn about different aspects of train history. Takes a bit of time to go through, to see all of the displays. Definitely worth the money. A must for train lovers.

What an amazing spectacle! Even if you aren't a model railroad enthusiast this place is a sight to behold! It is difficult to grasp the scale of the displays in photos. I can't wait to come back.

Everything was great , extremely detail oriented, and one of the largest we ever seen. The only reason I’m giving 4 star is the admission fees is quite stiff. It was 3 of us including my two year old toddler, we end up paying 100$, plus tax , to pay a full admission fees for toddlers does not justify for me. If your kid is a train fan , need to see it once. In addition , outdoor train is separate fees and full price for everyone. I have to admit, it had lots of details and effort
