We always stop by here on our way home from NYC. Palmer Square is always packed with people visiting from all parts of the world. Window shopping, family fun, ice skating, browsing through the community, hanging out at the square on one of the benches with friends and family. The news stands, events, vinyl records shops, bakeries. They have plenty of shops along the road, with Princeton University at a walking distance. Lots of students, teenagers, hanging out at the Square just taking in the sights. Plenty to do and see. Great for just a scenic drive, jog, run, or walk.

Absolutely a must when visiting Princeton during the holidays. Beautiful Christmas tree and town square area with so much to offer. Absolutely gorgeous spot to enjoy the Christmas lights and the many shops in the area. Definitely recommend shopping at the chocolate shop across the street and the ice cream shop. Definitely recommend this area during the holidays. You will feel like you are in a Christmas Hallmark movie. 🎄

This village is a beautiful combination of quaint charm and modern finesse. There was ample parking and everything was a great walking distance. There's a great variety of foods and goods to indulge in, and the scenery with the university nearby is picturesque. I definitely would recommend for families with older kids, and couples/friends from young adults and up!

This is a very nice place in both the summer and winter. Lots of cool shops, good food, parking is plentiful (if all pay lots), and it is nice to walk around. Christmas time is the best with the lights all around the square and the massive Christmas tree. Well worth a stop if you are around the area.

Wonderful place to take a little walk. It's a very small town but very romantic and cozy, very safe. They have Palmer square management holding up the center infrastructure, setting up events and maintaining businesses. You have different dining options, from fancy restaurants to budget options, cafes, etc. The university store and grounds are nearby, walking distance.

Grab a bench or a table and people watch!! I bring a book or listen to a podcast and just enjoy the foot traffic. There is a large grassy area that often kids are playing in. Benches are placed all over as well as picnic tables. There are great stores, restaurant and little niche stores to check out too.

Nice little square. Love the architecture. Nicely decorated during the holiday season complete, with a giant tree. The only shop I went into was Thomas Sweet Chocolate. The chocolate was pretty good but a little expensive. The small holiday display in the window of the shop is worth checking out.

Great selection of shops. There is a big chunk of apparel stores in the square as well as a nice grassy area that occasionally will have live music by the Nassau Inn. Food wise there are plenty of great options and both street and garage parking.

The “ice” skating is not skating at all… really poor showing for Palmer square. And no wonder all sales are final. Really folks, if you want to actually skate and want it to actually be on ice, do not go here. Really disappointed today.

Great little town area to walk around and explore the shops and eateries. Located right next to princeton university, you will get great views of the amazing historical campus. There is plenty of metered street parking if you go early and also parking garages all around. You can't go wrong visiting this area. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

They finish the dessert to order. Good, pricey, but not amazing.

Palmer Square needs to step up their management game and support the women in this town. I’m a local and LOVE shopping at @Rouge. The clothes are beautifully curated. Sabra and Karen and the sales team are helpful, cheerful, and not pushy. I popped in on a sweltering, late August day to look for a pair of shorts and the AC was broken. It was unbearably hot, and I just couldn’t stay in the store; came back two weeks later on another warm August day and the situation was the same. Way too hot to try on clothes, especially cute little wool sweaters for fall. Everyone was sweating. It’s a bummer for me, but I can’t help wonder WHY Palmer Square would allow one of their best businesses flounder. I can only imagine how much revenue is lost by the women who own and work at the boutique. Supporting local is CRUCIAL; downtown is already a challenge to navigate. This treatment is unbelievable. Fix the AC, Palmer Square. Please.

What an adorable downtown area!! So many cute shops! and really beautiful homes in the surrounding area. Lovely area to spend a nice afternoon. Would love to return around Christmas time when everything is decorated and with lights.
