There's nothing left... It's a shell of what used to be a decent mall. Every store is leaving this mall so it's basically just a walking area for seniors. They've sold most of the mall to Hackensack meridian so now there are sick people wandering around if you can find anyone at all. Express finally left, Macy's and Boscovs are there barely but JC Penny is gone. Recommend going to a mall that's not selling out to a hospital chain

Decent looking shopping mall. Stopped for some lunch at the foodcourt, Chick-fil-A. Not busy at all at 12pm on a Tuesday. Clean, well lit, air-conditioned, plenty of parking. Some storefront vacancies, as expected with any mall, but plenty of choices depending on what you are looking for.

The last days of the Monmouth Mall. You've heard of ghost towns, and this certainly qualifies. While some sections still had several businesses open, there were vast stretches with nothing in sight. You could hear a pin drop. Almost all of the food court stands are gone. However, Master Wok appears to be going until the bitter end! Grabbed a suspect cup of Auntie Anne's pretzels-- still the same. Overall a surreal, somewhat disheartening experience. There were quite a few people walking around, but like us, there to take pictures and have one last visit rather than shop. No doubt a piece of a lot of people's childhoods about to enter the history books. The mall has about a month left but if you're going to say goodbye, better do it soon.

This mall has an amazing variety of stores and restaurants. Parking is free, easy, and spacious. The mall itself is very clean and organized. I would definitely recommend this place!

Took my children to see Bad Guys and we all enjoyed ourselves. It was a little chilly but that’s to be expected in movie theaters. Our order from concession was prepped and ready to go upon our arrival. Everything was great!

Very clean and not too crowded. The mall is huge. There are a lot of brands for browsing and shopping. The food court is good

Sad, is all I can say about this once thriving Mall. There used to be thousands of people working in Monmouth Mall. Less than 3 weeks until Christmas and there's nobody shopping. Way too many VACANT stores and less than 10% of the parking spaces are full. I know that there is an ongoing redevelopment plan for Monmouth Mall but I'm afraid it's too late.

As a shopping mall this is more accurately 2 stars, perhaps even 1. It is a shadow of it's former self. However it does have at least one redeeming value, it is a great place to walk indoors! I ho there occasionally when the weather is bad. There are usually a handful of others doing the same thing, power walking for exercise. So if walkingis your movement of choice don't use weather as an excuse to skip a day. Just come here! One note, major renovations are dus to start in the Spring of 2024. That may affect the areas you can walk.

Went to see Top Gun Maverick at the Dolby Cinema at Monmouth Mall. The picture quality and sound were the best I've experienced. The movie was pretty great too.

Can tell this was once a powerhouse of malls but is in rapid decline Area around Macy's is still pretty occupied but once you past bosoms the mall is empty vacant retail space. Mall does good job keeping it clean and safe.

It's smaller than I remember. I use to frequent this place a few years ago before the pandemic. Just recently trying to ease back to a so called normal life I ventured into the Mall once again. Some stores have closed unfortunately and some newer ones have opened. But it just feels somewhat empty to me.

Do not even waste your time coming. More than half the mall is closed and has no stores left. The mall I believe is also permanently closing soon and they don’t even bother using the heat to keep the building warm anymore. Freezing cold empty mall with no stores open…. Waste of a trip

What was once a destination is now deep into a death spiral. Well over 50% of the stores are closed. So sad to see its demise. Blame it on the town of Eatontown, not the mall owners. Eatontown politics has thwarted the owners from moving forward for years. Politicians think they deserve to form the mall's future.

Been coming to this mall for years. So convenient right off parkway. Always empty though. Great stores and food court. Rumors that it will be possibly closing its doors. Hope not so close to home.

As far as malls go this is good one. Centrally located to those of us in the area. I was born sometime in the late 70s - early 80s let's just say and the Mall is still there! Most are closed or are in process of. Now I know why kids play with their phones all day

They do absolutely nothing to support any of the stores that are there, they barely have any stores that are there as is. they won't update any of the maps in the mall to show what's actually still in the mall. You don't get any cell phone service in the mall and they are too cheap to give free wifi for customers of the mall. Easily see why this is 1 of the worst malls in nj, the management.

I feel so sad after having visited this "Mall." If you walk it's length you will see that 90% of the stores have closed. Regardless of how beautiful the future dwellings might be (that they are planning) I cannot imagine many people wanting to pay top dollar in order to live in the middle of an intersection of highways. If you want a cheerier experience you might want to walk through a morgue.

The mall is clean and well maintained. It's an older building that has been updated over the years. The biggest problem is the lack of stores. There are a lot of empty storefronts. This does allow for some mildly interesting other places like a two-story Forever21, a few non-chain shops, an imax theater and a laser-tag game-room party place. There is also a fairly active food court. The prices at stores like Journeys were exactly the same as those at the Jersey Shore Premium "outlets" down the road.

Not sure if there is a long term plan for this place but it’s a great mall that’s clean and well kept. Lots of stores coming in and out but the food court is awesome and they have some small play areas for toddlers. It’s a go-to place for us to kill a few hours on a rainy day.

Monmouth Mall is a shell of its former self; You can literally count the few remaining stores on your fingers, and there were a lot of Vagrants hanging out and walking the empty Mall.I didn't feel safe and will not return. This mall has met its demise and it's time to close down. Reminded me of Dead Mall series on YouTube. Seems demolition is imminent. VERY SAD

It's a shame how a once beautiful mall could turn out to be such a ghost place. It was always one of my favorite places now there are no stores to shop in

Great mall in the 70s 80s 90s. Run down needs to be remodeled. A lot of stores closed. Food court stinks. The only good food place is chicken fillet and burger king. No pizza no sub place.

What happened to this mall? It's basically a ghost town and reminds me of seview square mall 20 years ago...just awful...the food court has like 1 or 2 spots open and is barely lit up so it's like eating in a dimly lit dingy bar. And I'd say 80% of the stores are closed...I had to go there to get something specific but I'd never go back, it's just depressing

The mall is renovating. There's a Barnes and Noble, Macy's, and a movie theater.

There's nothing left the shop here except the Barnes & Noble. Covid killed the place along with online ordering. I believe they're now tearing it down for the most part in building condos, a shame was a great mall

Kinda quiet, but honestly the pandemic caused a lot of malls to more or less lose a lot of customers. Neat and clean, nice selection of stores. Also lots of places around the mall as well.

Pretty good mall - lots of Squishmallows if that’s what you’re looking for. Some places double the price they’re worth, so be careful.

I feel like there's more empty stores then actual stores...and there's one bathroom? ....and only two usable stalls in the women's room while we were there. It was disgusting, definitely not up to "covid clean".

This is a clean, well maintained mall in Monmouth County. Great selection of stores for just about all you needs. I love to shop at Penny's, Macy's and Boscov's. Disney Store is great for all the children's needs. Security is always present. Food court has varied selection.

I Love this mall, unfortunately many of the stores are closed or closing. I imagine this was all a result of the Pandemic and people refusing to return to work. One thing I really like is the food court. There is a Chinese food place (the name eludes me) that is Great and does not skimp on their portions and their prices are extremely reasonable. My wife and I ate lunch there and had enough left over for lunch the next day. YUM! My fear is that if our economy does not improve, that many of these large malls will close all together... 😔

So frankly I went more out of curiosity than actual need. It is as one would expect it to be. It has that Midwest, used to be a place of value, deadness, that was at least interesting from that point of view. The mall model is no longer viable. Just look at American Dream, they're trying to cram any and every interesting thing into one location. Monmouth mall can't complete with Freehold let alone anything big and better than that.

Comfort in seat when watching your favorite movie great sounds effects especially in IMAX YOU will enjoy, I liked the inside of the theater give me me a 1940s, 50s filling “hall’s and walls layouts walking on carpet it really took me back in time to the good all days “ great experience

  • 5/5 Regina A. 1 year ago on Google
This mall has some pretty decent choices in the food court. The anchor stores Macy’s, JCPenney‘s, and Boscov’s all have something different so you can definitely find what you need here. The AMC movie theater is a perfect way to end your day.

  • 5/5 Linda W. 1 year ago on Google
Love Boscov's. The best store for selection, quality, service and price. Sorry sorry they are going to destroy this mall instead of trying to revive it. Was always the best mall. Turning into some mult-use complex will change the remaining stores forever. Boscov's is stilly #1.

  • 4/5 Paul D. 1 year ago on Google
It's a decent mall, even if it is owned by the Kushners. Like many malls nowadays, not very crowded with many empty stories.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Monmouth Mall. The shopping 🛍 experience was great and the amount of stores they have just added to our fun-filled day. From stores like Macy's, Boscov, to JC Penny's and other high end stores it kept us window shopping for hours. We look forward to sharing our shopping experience with friends family and coworkers with hopes to return very soon to shop again.

Complete ghost town of a mall. Final nail in the coffin was when Suncoast closed. Biggest draws are the Barnes & Noble and AMC, good to have them for convenience. Worked at the Aero for a long while, hopefully it survives. Kushner doesn't have the best rep, but whatever he's doing is probably gonna be better than what we have now.

I grew up at this mall so I may ve a little bias but it has fallen short over the last few years. They need to start cleaning up more inside and have better access to stores from the lot .

  • 3/5 Dominique B. 11 months ago on Google
Basically, half the mall is closed, so that's kinda annoying. They close at 8, even on weekends, which is super weird being a mall. But one good thing is it's never busy, so if they have the store u need, it's the perfect one to go to no lines, no crowds, can actually be nice.

  • 3/5 Jack P. 1 year ago on Google
It's a mall. If it was a human, it'd now be classified as a "dead man walking." This method of shopping was more attuned to a different consumer dynamic. With the 1,800 lb gorilla (a.k.a. Amazon) now in the room, it's only matter of time before this once profitable venue dies out. Of course, this is just my opinion, but in your heart if hearts, you know I'm right.

  • 2/5 William S. 11 months ago on Google
This mall was pretty disappointing. A significant difference from the way it used to be. Multiple stores are vacant and the remaining ones are often a shell of what they used to be. It is quiet and workers were friendly.

  • 5/5 Gerson T. 1 year ago on Google
More spacious inside with a wide variety of stores. Employees in each store i walked into were very courteous and friendly. The food area had different types of food which will wow you.

  • 1/5 Melissa C. 3 months ago on Google • 12 reviews New
I can wait for it to be reconstructed. I don’t know why it’s so incredibly important for people to tell me to stop coming in mall more concerned about petty numbers to the store basically screaming “ STOP COMING IN HERE “ I’m just trying to enjoy my time out. You might as well call the minimal stores here a high school of gossip. No one is happy at there job Hot topic, GameStop dare I name more. Forgive me for trying to know people my mistake in attempting human interaction. Build something new get rid of the old people in the stores. Sorry they have to build value in themselves by devaluing others. Misery loves company and the mall is miserable.

While I do enjoy the reclining seats, we were in a theater where the movie malfunctioned. The movie was showing mostly sold out although maybe 40 percent of the theater was full. Instead of offering another showtime we were rather rudely told to come back another day because the movie was "sold out" the rest of the day. We only had about 20 minutes left and a crushed little girl wanting to see the end of a movie she had much anticipated. So, off to customer service. They said they had a couple of seats left in a showing that by this time was in the same spot. Again, this "sold out" show could have fit most of all of the people from the other showing. I would suggest the theater offer a refund and non expiring passes to another movie. Of course, the passes given were expiring...
