French onion soup; Still great!! I used to go here for the soup when it was The Cambridge Inn. I’ve been out of state for about 19 years and was in town and curious. Worth the stop. Got it to go and it was hot, delicious, and cheesy! Busy on the weekend nights for sure.

For starters the food was amazing. I enjoyed their buffalo wings with garlic. I also enjoyed their signature MJ burger. Food was awesome and beer was cold. However, the service was one of the worst I've experienced in along time. I understand its busy for a Saturday, but they didnt even come to apologize for the wait and never made eye contact. The bar tender had better people skills than anyone. He was an amazing bartender. Still recommended for the amazing food, but beware on the service.

Went today with family and we waited over 15 mins for a waiter/waitress and nobody came.( they were NOT busy whatsoever). When I approached someone to ask if we could get a waiter/waitress they said okay then proceeded to go over to someone and they were fighting about who was going to take the table. My family and I left as we had a toddler with us and we weren’t going to sit around if they had nobody. As we were leaving the two girls in the front (hostess) were laughing and didn’t say anything to us like have a nice day etc. We won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Nachos were really good and perfect amount to share. Had the Famous Sliced Steak Sandwich and it was amazing. Cooked to medium and lots of flavor. Wife had the Ahi Tuna salad and enjoyed it as well.

So be prepared to pay extra for using a credit card. This is a deal breaker for me. First, it is the cost of doing business. Don't start tacking on fees to my bill. Second, if you are going to do this, don't charge me more than you are being charged. I just don't patronize businesses that 'pass on fees' above their prices. Sorry you have to pay a fee but it's the cost for you to do business. How about I pay the price on the menu and you pay my gas to get there? That is my cost of visiting you. Sounds fair to me.

Went there and had an amazing server, but we ordered margaritas and sent them back because there was no taste of the tequila. The "make up" drinks were better, but still pretty weak. My uncle and I ordered wings, and half of them were overcooked. My uncle's girlfriend ordered a pizza, which she enjoyed. They had trivia night going, which was cool, but stay away from the speakers. Otherwise, it will be very hard to hear people you are with.

My husband and I wanted to try something different than where we normally go and it was a great decision ! Everybody was great and it was family friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. Our waitress Annie was great especially with our kids. We will definitely be going back and have already told friends and family about our great experience.

After a fun filled day at the movies, tricking my man into believing he was gonna see Super Mario only to have him watch the twisted mind of Evil Dead. ...... Tatted Stache and Chels Bells with the two of us sauntered on down to MJ's Entering the establishment reminded me of a down home sports bar and grill. We all decided that a smorgasbord of apps was gonna be most delightful. An order of Bavarian Pretzels made me feel as if I was in the Dark Forest, eating and enjoying each bite I looked for Hansel and Gretel nearby. Calamari that the tatted lovers ordered was as fresh as if plucked from Davy Jones locker that morning! The vodka pizza, thin crust with the perfect crunch. Although I didn't feel the buzz from the sauce. Pulled pork sandwich has great flavor, bun was a little too big for my liking. But the pork made me go wee wee wee all the way home. The friendliest waiter I've ever had. Eating at MJ's was like eating at the Goat's house himself and a sure fire slam dunk!

An easy choice for a casual and tasty meal. The french onion soup is yummy. Service is friendly and attentive. Family friendly and they had bingo one time while we were there

There for a repast. The waitress servicing our room was amazingly efficient and hard working. Taking care of each and every request in a speedy manner. The food was a buffet which was okay. The chicken parmesan was a standout. Can't thank them enough for their patience as several of us lingered afterwards with friends of yesterday.

Good food and decent drinks. Apparently out of state licenses are "suspicious" if you're looking to hangout at the bar. Funny how my Florida license qualifies as a Real Id but NJ licenses do not. Overall, the idea I need two forms of ID is ridiculous because I'm Out of State. The bartender and rest of the staff were very cool afterwards though. Cool older gentleman at the bar

Cold beer but calamari was a little dry. Service can be a little slow.

Took the whole family to eat here as part of a fund raiser. Place is decent as is the food. Was surprised to see a service fee on the bill. I wish I had caught it before I paid. I would have asked what it was for.

Went to see my friend's band Atlantic Sound Machine last night. The place was packed but we were able to get a seat in the bar area. Our waitress was very attentive and didn't mind when we switched tables after the crowd thinned a little. We didn't have a meal last night but I've never had a bad meal at MJ's. We did share the Cinnamon apple crunch dessert, it was delicious.

Our server Mark was so nice and attentive, he was excellent, but the food was just horrid. I couldn’t believe that we had a $70 bill for a philli cheese steak and a personal pizza . The quality of the food doesn’t match the price at all. I could’ve went to red lobster and spent less. When you walk in the manager doesn’t even acknowledge you or greet you, he just goes “two?, okay .” Not welcoming at all. Flies all over the place I had to kill a few because it was driving me nuts , A bowling alley can give you better food than this , save your money and go else where trust me

I won’t be going back, there was a dirty drink nozzle in my cup. Another person I was with didn’t get the correct order, as well as another person who we were with had to get a refund due to food not being up to par(shrimp tacos with corn tortillas).

Disgusting. Bugs everywhere. Bar smells like dirty moldy rags. First they served me a Mojito with rotten mint and black floating specks in it after waiting 20 minutes. I then asked for something different and waited another 10 minutes to receive a cocktail in a dirty glass with more black specs. I didn't send this one back just didn't drink it. We were one of the only tables in our dinning area when we arrived yet once the place started filling up for 35 minutes we watched other tables be served despite coming in and ordering way after us. Manager came over and asked if everything was okay I explained the whole situation and she LUCKYLY she took the first drink off the bill and was so kind enough to take $2.90 off our $55.00 bill. Nasty would not recommend!

I had an eggplant, avocado, mozzarella panini with a balsamic glaze. The eggplant was crispy and there was lots of it. I didn't like the bread which i thought belonged on a sub not a panini.

One star is too generous! I've been to two of their restaurants so far: the old Buttonwood Manor on Rt 34 and now this one in Spotswood. Both restaurants had an unappealing oder to them. My Buddy and I walked out of the Buttonwood because it seemed dirty. The leather, or pleather table coverings are a nice idea, but they make you wonder why the tables need to be covered in such a way to begin with. My party held out, and we ordered in the Spotswood Restaurant, (used to be the Cambridge Inn). The Server, Mark, was great. The food was terrible. I went into both of these restaurants wanting to like them, but so far nobody I've been with has been impressed.

MJs is a great local bar. Mike is the best bar tender ever! Great service! The chicken parm pizza is awesome. Crusted salmon is good too. Plenty of screens to watch football. Clean friendly place

Food was very tasty but specialty drinks were disappointing. Update: didn't have drinks this time. Dinner specials we had were a monte Cristo sandwich and a crunchy Thai chicken avocado panini. Both were okay with the Thai chicken being on the dry side. Went on a Thursday night which was trivia night. Looked like fun but we couldn't stay.

The food here for take out and it sucked and was absolutely terrible. Pass by it all the time decided to give it a try. Almost threw up eating it. Paid 40 bucks for the most disgusting food. Tried the shrimp appetizer got a oil and shrimp tossed in a dish. It came with garlic bread got peta bread and garlic seasoning instead. Then get a Philly Cheese steak, got i don’t know what kind of meat on stale bread with cold fries that I can tell was just sitting out and thrown into my container. Will be never go back for

This place should literally be shut down, went here twice there is only two waitresses, and the service is extremely slow. They were literally fighting over which waitress to put at our table because they both just wanted to stand around and get paid doing nothing. We were sitting there for a half an hour without anyone coming over to our table, asking us if we wanted a drink or what we wanted to eat we left. SMH I can’t believe how bad the service is at this place. It’s unbelievable.🤬
