I had the worst customer experience ordering from them. The lady at the counter is extremely rude and unprofessional to customers and behaves like she is doing a “favor” to us by serving for paid food orders. An important aspect of restaurant business is customer service and due to the poor behavior of their staff, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Food is also average, I had better Indian food in NJ.

Picked up my chicken over rice bowls maybe half hr before they closed and discovered my chicken to be green. I was very concerned it was mold and had to throw it out because it was not what I ordered. It turns out when they run out of regular chicken, they use a different type of chicken, called hariyali chicken. I’m leaving a 3 star rating not because the food is bad (it tastes fairly good), but because they didn’t tell us they used a different type of chicken. I was worried the chicken had gone bad and had to find different food that night since I didn’t know. Luckily, their customer service was good and they gave us 2 free bowls the next day to compensate, I will continue going here but just make sure you check your food before leaving. I should know beforehand if there will be any altercations to my food.

This is the best Indian food around. Meals are always fresh and the quality is consistently great. The classic Chicken Tikka Masala is always good as well as the Coconut Curry Fish. Portions are great and price is okay. If you're ordering around dinner time, expect to wait at least 40 minutes for your food though. They're being safe and have a stand setup outside to avoid any foot traffic entering the building. Definitely recommend.

Food is normally hot and fresh. My order is always correct. It is a pick up only can’t dine inside. Order takes about 30-40mins so plan ahead

This is becoming my go-to place for Indian food when I visit my parents in NJ. It's located off Rt. 27 in Edison. If you have trouble locating the restaurant, just look for the ugly green building. Kidding aside, its signage is actually quite vibrant and eye-catching. I've ordered Tikka Chicken Masala, Dhaba Chicken Curry, and Chicken 65. They are all excellent. However, for whatever reason, I cannot shake off the urge to get Chicken 65 every time I order from Delhi Garden. It's my go-to dish for sure. It's not cheap any more - now$17 instead of $13 just before the pandemic. But considering how many servings of rice get to go with the dish, it's still a good value especially comparing to other dishes. Yeah, the amount of rice that come with the dish is nowhere near enough. Service-wise, I can't say they are friendly. They are always busy, so their priority is to complete the transaction as quickly as possible. Speaking of speed, it does take 25-35 minutes to get the order ready; so lately I've been calling ahead. You'd be advised to do the same. One other thing, maybe it has to do with NJ's new ban on plastic bags, I didn't realize I've been paying 30 cents for the bag each time I do takeout. So just like grocery stores, bring your own bags!

I was in the mood for some Indian food so took a ride to this spot. I called in the order when I was about 20 minutes away thinking it would be ready when I got there but they said it would take about an hour. When I arrived I had to wait in the car for my food. The restaurant doesn't allow you to come in the store so they have a table and pay station outside. I ordered the lentil soup, chana saag, vegetable samosa, gulab jumon, and roti. All that food came to about $27. When I got home I dug in and the food was pretty good. I enjoyed the chana saag and somosa. The lentil soup wasn't bad and the roti was a bit oily. I also enjoyed the dessert gulab jumon. I couldn't eat all the food because it was so much so I definitely got my money's worth. I will definitely return to try something else.

This little Indian restaurant caught me by surprise. This place is take out/ Delivery only and they have a table setup outside to grab your food and make payments. Parking is available, albeit limited. The entire pickup process was smooth. The tandoor items were incredibly delicious. I had - Malmal kebab and Bihari kebab. The chicken pieces were so soft that I could just swallow them and the flavors were on point. Dal Makhani was decent and for chicken entree, I got the kali mirch korma, which was superbly done and the chicken pieces were again soft and cooked very well. The portion size is decent and the prices are very reasonable. The curries do come with rice. I have no hesitation to recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some serious Indian flavors.

This is a wonderful establishment who we have ordered food from around 30 times. We always get 2 chicken platters with one of them having no lettuce. It always a very delicious and filling dinner. As long as you order early and are aware there is usually a 40 minute wait, your day will automatically become better because of this place. The food is also very affordable and there is a small discount if you happen to be a Rutgers student.

Wait!! Something is wrong. Do the previous chef left? I mean I have been ordering the Bihari kabab for ages and today what I received is NOT that old Bihari kabab. It tastes horrible. It’s chewy (used to be melting in mouth and juicy). I asked for Spicy. They have put a whole lot of red chilli in dumping oil over the kabab which is disgusting. I am so hurt today. They used to be the go to place for Kabab. Delhi Garden- fix this else you’re going to loose lots of valued customer soon.

Fantastic food. Tandoori chicken, gobi manchurian, and butter chicken were out of this world. Great portions too! Biryani was fine but it wouldn’t taste good compared to the above 3 anyway. Very satisfied!

Best indian style chicken and rice. You get a ton of meat and rice for roughly $10. Definitely will come back to try their other offerings!

The best Indian takeout place in Edison area. Our company orders from here once in a while and it's always great. My fav is the chicken 65 for a spicy challenge but others really enjoy the butter chicken makhani or the tandoori chicken. Just make sure you order some awesome garlic naan too.

Only once in a while can I find a place that really doesn’t hold back. This is one of them the flavors are unapologetically bold, and aromatic. They vegetable Kolhapuri is super flavorful with coconut, tamarind and some tomato paste. It results in a sweet, coconutty, bright , buttery dish that complements the vegetables very well. The lamb Keema is a dish I’ve never ordered before but now I will try to seek it out wherever I can from now on. The rich gamey flavors are complemented by the powerful gravy and the ground lamb is texturally interesting when having it with rice. I loved this especially with the Keema Naan as the naan could carry this curry extremely well. The raita is rich and the right amount of sour which complements and cuts through the heaviness of these dishes. I have now found my new go to spot for Indian food, and a new reason I’ll have Indian food cravings when I’m not in the area.

Got lunch catered from Delhi Garden for my brother’s milestone birthday! The food was excellent. Our guests were so happy and took so much food home also. We are very pleased at both the quality of food and the care they took with the catering

Delhi Garden is our absolute favorite Indian restaurant! We used to live in the neighborhood and recently moved 30 minutes away but we still get takeout from them - the drive is worth it! Call before you're hungry because it's usually a long wait but again, that's because they're so good! Everything is so flavorful and fresh, especially the green sauce that comes on the side. We wish they would open a second location closer to us but we'll keep making the drive!

The food here is absolutely amazing. I always get meat dishes so I always got lamb, but a friend got a vegetarian dish and it somehow tasted much better than the dish I got. I was thoroughly impressed. Don’t forget to get the garlic naan.

Best Indian spot in the Edison area. Food is always hot and fresh. I must have been here a hundred times now, and I’ve never once had a bad experience. Only negative is that it gets very busy and you may have to wait some time, but it’s well worth the wait.

This is a take-out only place but that should not hold you back from trying the food here. The food is best in town and "out of the world" as my 10year old describes it.Better than any dine-in place. The place offers Indian food of great taste and excellent value for money. I am sure, not even in India one might find such taste everywhere. The quality is unmatched and order any item from the menu and it will surely stand out.

One of my favorite places for take out Indian food in New Jersey. You will never go wrong. I have liked all the items that I have ordered over here. The quality has always been consistent over the years I have visited here. Food is fresh always.

If you want real Indian esp North Indian food then this is the place you want to be at. Trust me it is worth of every dollar you spend there, worth of every min you wait for your food and worth of every mile you drive to go there and get food. Especially their Dhaba Chicken is the BEST. They use fresh chicken not some modified or old chicken unlike other restaurants. And also try their Tandoori Chicken. This place constantly deliver the BEST quality food and Customer Service.

Ordered food once from here after a good hearsay. The pick up was within time and the food was good too. There was still scope of improvement in the taste looking at the other competitors in the area, which is immense. I will definitely order again from here to keep my variety of options open.

Outstanding. Delicious gourmet restaurant quality Indian food from a hole in the wall take out only spot. Have ordered from this place countless times and have never been disappointed. Pro tip: Order well in advance, they can get very busy have 1 hour plus waits.

Where do I even start...everything is delicious. My personal favorites are the chicken makhani (butter chicken), saag paneer (spinach and Indian cottage cheese), garlic naan, and mango lassi. My first time coming here was in 6/2021 and it's still amazingly delicious this time around. Can't wait to return.

Long time customer. They don't need another great review, but here it is anyway. The owner and employees love what they do. The owner is very friendly and I enjoy coming here a few times a month. The food is the best I've had in a while. Prices are fair unlike many in NJ who overcharge. Highly recommend this little spot. It will become your favorite also.

The food was excellent! We ordered several chicken dishes, and vegetarian dishes, everything was delicious! Their Bhindi is the best I've had! Most authentic, home cooked northern Indian food I've had in NJ.
