Damn good. Delish and decor was well done for the Christmas holiday. I tried to buy one of the jack Daniel's sweaters but there sadly were not for sale. Definitely recommend. Manager looks like a no nonsense guy but was smooth as butte when we talked. The type of strong uncle type. Loved his vybe.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get a seat at the bar for dessert and drinks, but the staff and people were great. Enjoyed exploring and shopping the shop downstairs. I will definitely be back.

I came here for the miracle bar and also wanted to try it out because of all the great reviews in New Jersey monthly magazine over the summer. This experience was second to none from start to finish. The service was absolutely fantastic, and the food was very delicious. Started with the stuffed mushrooms, got the pappardelle bolognese and, of course finished it off with apple fritters. The miracle drinks are also a big highlight this time of year. It is such a wonderfully cozy dining space. Definitely adding this to my list of places that I want to return to!

Catherine Lombardi is a great way to get in the holiday spirit. The decorations have an old fashioned Christmas feel that bring a smile to your face. Our server and all the staff were over the top attentive! The owner was also super friendly! The food was delicious. The holiday cocktail menu was fun and whimsical. A true gem in New Brunswick...highly recommend.

The restaurant won a bunch of rewards for “Tops in NJ”. No doubt here. Food and service were great and the owner Mark comes around to check in with you. Michelle was great too. 10 stars if I could.

Nice atmosphere and great staff. The roast beef sandwich appetizer was amazing . The pork chop was cooked perfectly. I would say it could have toned down the saltiness of the topping though, but still glad I selected it. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and handled a party of 10 with ease. Definitely recommend.

Had reservation for CL, but got seated in the steakhouse. So now we have 2 menus. Great burger, strange service. Took 45 minutes to get drinks and our bottle of wine. I think there was 1 person responsible for that. Bad system = 3 hour dinner.

Came here for dinner the waiter staff was very attentive and i started off with mozzarella in carozza (Mozzarella & prosciutto sandwiched between bread & fried) it was very good, Then for the main dish lasagna with meat sauce. It was way too much meat sauce I had to dig to find lasagna in it. Then for dessert creme brulee it was ok the strawberries were fresh and it was good. Overall price wise it was overpriced but it's the location

Ordered a goat cheese and mushroom stuffed ravioli with eggplant parm. The food was extremly average for the price. Egg plant was undercooked, watery and no flavors. Overall bland and mediocre.

3% extra charge for paying via credit or debit card! First time for me. Cheapens the taste for me in the end when you feel like they are trying to extract every penny from you. Food and service was great otherwise.

It was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. Over all was a good dinner. Very pricey but was expected. We shared the garlic bread, burrata, gnocchi, steak sandwich and onion rings. The gnocchi is extremely rich and heavy. Be careful if you get a dish all to yourself. Might have a hard time finishing 🤣. The onion rings were surprisingly not made well and completely covered in salt. The batter was very greasy. Not our cup of tea. The steak sandwich was perfect and a pleasant surprise! They had a special drink menu that was full of thrills but overall very sugary beverages for $18-$20.

The service and the atmosphere were great. For the price I did expect more from the food, but it was decent. The wild boar ravioli was good, but felt like it was lacking flavor. The drinks, appetizers and desserts however we all delicious.

Service and cocktails were good , but food is below average , does not justify the price they are charging , ordered the crab and shrimp fettuccine $40 , no crab in it and Alfredo sauce felt like from a jar , other dish my partner ordered was shrimp scampi , too much lemon didn’t taste that great. below average and almost around the same price , garlic bread was burnt , if you are charging so much for each dishes atleast provide people With good quality food

Wine by the glass were stale, they tasted like they were opened bottles some time back. Eggplant parmigiana seems just reheated, you can tell from the photo. Nebraska steak on a hot plate was good!

YOU DESERVE A MIRACLE! I had dinner with my best friend last week and was once again treated to an extraordinary experience on every level ( as Catherine Lombardi’s and Stage Left Steak always provide). But what’s so special this time of year is the annual Miricle on George at Catherine Lombardi’s. For those of you that don’t know what this is, it is a HOLIDAY EXPLOSION! A wonderful winter wonderland set in one of the best restaurants in the country. Please do yourself a favor and stop by CL’s and enjoy the Miricle they are before it’s over this weekend (1/6/23). BUT… if you can’t make it before then, know that the food, service, staff, cocktails and ambience are a Miricle all year long. Thank you for a wonderful night Catherine Lombardi’s ( and Stage Left Steak) and Happy New Year!

I'm not sure if we visited under special circumstances (early January) but was surprised that a supposedly upscale Italian restaurant was merged with the next-door steakhouse. The single-page paper menu was Catherine Lombardi on one side, and Stage Left Steak House on the back. We were told we could order from either side. The food was good, but it was not "high-end." Definitely not worth the price, in our opinion. The wait staff was very nice, the decor was very bright, kitschy Christmas decor hanging from the ceilings. Had a NJ diner feel--albeit an "upscale" diner. Too brightly lit as well. The eggplant parmigiana was a disappointment, but the wine and osso bucco were terrific. Again, based on the other reviews, perhaps it is better at a different time of year, but at these price points and, we'll go somewhere else.

Love the food, the atmosphere and the service. Excellent cocktails too! And the holiday cheer you get from the wonderful seasonal decorations inspired me to get into the holiday spirit. Always appreciate all the little and big things that they get right, every time.

Visited Catherine Lombardi for the Miracle Xmas popup experience. Compared to last year at Iplay america this was a thousand times better. The restaurant and bar were all decorated for Christmas. The food was great, while a little high priced, for the experience and area I guess I can accept it. The holiday cocktails were great also and souvenir glasses were available to purchase as well. There was more than enough staff always checking on us to ensure my table was good. Overall it was a great dinner out with family to kick off the holiday season. Parking passes for the lot can be validated for free parking but I was told they only have a limited amount to give out. They came back and said they were all out but gave me cash to pay for parking to make up for it. I felt awkward accepting the cash but it was a nice gesture by the restaurant.

We had such a delightful experience at Catherine Lombardi's! Our meal was so tasty, the drinks excellent, and the service phenomenal. Pasta appetizers, all were well done. I had the aviation gin drink, and my husband gas the Gentlemans Jack special, both were prepared and presented so well! We went for Thanksgiving and had the family styke Turkey entrees, which were perfect. So much flavor, not too much seasoning, not dry, such a treat! The table next tons had the chocolate chip cookies, which were fresh and you can smell the enticement from a mile away ... but we had already ordered the pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate bread pudding, both were extraordinary! Claire was our server, and she was a delight, was very attentive (all of the staff were) and made great suggestions and answered our questions. We will be back!

Great selection of cocktails, warm friendly atmosphere. Everyone at our table raved about their meal selection tasting fantastic. Food is served timely and hot. Nobody is rushing you through your dinner. Save room for desserts because they’re amazing. Service is top notch. This is not just going out for a meal, it’s an experience. Will be coming back again for sure.

I've been traveling up to New Brunswick for the past few years to come here for the holidays. It's just an excellent place and time out. One of the few places where I've actually seen the owner greeting tables, too. I only have good things to say about this place. One of my favorite restaurants.

Visiting from out of town, excellent and orignal resturant with extensive cocktail selection. Service was refreshingly good and food was excellent. Worth the price.

Was really excited about going here cause it looked really good from the pictures online. Was not impressed at all. The mozzarella and carrozza was overly fried and barely any cheese stuffed inside. The steak sandwich was good but nothing impressive to make me want to return. Just an overrated Italian restaurant in a college town. Atmosphere, drinks, and staff was good though. Rather just of went to the local pizzeria and got a sandwich for half the price.

Such a great dinner spot in New Brunswick. The food is always always on point and the cocktails perfect mixed. Service is consistently beating my expectations and all of the staff is very knowledgeable. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful as well, on my last visit, we ordered a bottle of champagne on his recommendation. It did not disappoint. Will continue to be one of my go-to restaurants in New Brunswick. Definitely a place you should check out.

This has been my favorite restaurant for over a decade. My wife and I try to make at least once a month. When we have a craving for the best Italian food we know of, we sometimes sit at the bar and enjoy the experienced bartenders making us some great cocktails. When we the bar we usually make a meal of some of the appetizers. Tonite we enjoyed Red Meatballs (the BEST), Mozzarella Encarozza (to die for), Prosciutto de Parma (melts in your mouth) and a 1/2 order of Very Garlic Bread. If you only do one you’ve got to enjoy the meatballs. They are superb! No leftovers - look at the photo! You can never go wrong at Catherine Lombardi’s. The two owners, Mark and Francis, are always wandering around the dining room (and bar) making everyone feel welcome. A truly special place!

Drove from Cleveland to a meeting in NYC, specifically had a layover in New Brunswick, just to have dinner. This was my second trip for dinner in two months and it exceeded all expecations, the hoilday decor transformed the second floor. The service (Regan) was on point, pleasant and efficient with out being over bearing. The meal was the single greatest pasta dish I have had in the U.S. (wild boar ravioli) Already making plans to return, if you are with in a days drive, you really have no excuse not to enjoy a meal with them.
