My favorite Sichuan style restaurant in NJ ! They really keep the soul of the Sichuan food , hot & spicy & tasty ~ their soup of the dishes is really tasty ~ every thing is good ~! Recommended for people who like spicy 🌢 🌢 food ~ they also have non-spicy food here , so no worries ~

Love the noodles and buns, highly recommended but for take out only! They charged minimum 15% tips but this is a food court style restaurant. You place order on the iPad, then grab water and cup and everything else yourself, when the foods done, they leave them on the counter and you go grab them yourself. I don’t understand why it would asked for tips? Basically you do everything yourself?

Per a Chinese friend, this is the most authentic Szechuan noodle place he's been to. You order on the tablet at the counter and they bring your food to the counter. There's a small cooler of canned beverages or you can grab a cup and a bottle of water. We had A1, A3, C4, and B4 (7 seasonings noodles, Yibin noodles, mother Qi's wonton, chili chicken). Food comes out promptly, cutlery is self serve at the counter. Both the noodles were tasty, with that Szechuan peppercorn tingle. The wontons were excellent with a delicate wrappers and rich creamy broth. The chili chicken was also very good, not too spicy, with lots of scallions. The owners speak very limited English but luckily the gesture for "I need a to go container" seems to be universal. We intend to go back since they were out of one of the dishes we were told to get (army-style bun).

No one recommended me this place. It just came from my wife's pick. We just wanted to explore new choices. Ummm... First impression was just like some reviews said.... A lot of things that are rarely seen in a Chinese restaurant!! Full self service: No waiters, order from counter's console, pick up your own order, clean your own table after meal... and it's not a takeout style Chinese restaurant... So.. it feels pretty weird... But my purpose here is not spoiled by this kind of things. I am here to try its Szechuan dishes!! My opinion: it's very good for its food, definitely has its own special taste from the other. I 100 percent will come back for other dishes on the menu... but in Takeout ......

The spicy spareribs noodle soup was far from balanced in flavor and the spare ribs were tiny and Cold as if they just threw them in there from the fridge. The wontons skin looked dry wrinkled but tasted okay... Fast food style ordering to match the fast food food quality. Felt very low end for Edison. I enjoy spicy food so that's not the reason for 3 stars.

This is the best restaurant with authentic Sichuan cuisine in the Edison are. We came here per a friend’s recommendation. The quality of food blew our mind. It’s a small menu but everything tastes so delicious. The level of spicy is on the higher end. I would love to come back again in the future.

First i hate to say this, but the pictures you see will draw you there, and the food they serve doesn't look anything like the pictures. the place smells bad when you walk in. I don't know what it is. For the people that go there that only speak English you've got a problem right away, they don't speak English. I love pasta, but I don't know what to pick, and they really couldn't suggest anything to me. Once you order they want there money right away, before you get to even see the food. I waited for the meal come at leat 10 to 15 minutes. Terrible. I left just about all my food at the table. I would never go in there again. Really they need to be close down, and I didn't want to give 1 STAR to the business πŸ‘Ž

Closed, lights off, the place was literally empty. No people, hell, no furniture.

Excellent food! The noodles were a huge hit. I had beef noodle soup with Chinese numbing peppers and the dish was fantastic. Big portions and great flavor. Good price. I will be back next time I'm in Edison. Give it a try!

Relaxed place with very good dishes with a lot of Sichuan spice. Be aware that it's mostly self serve; you order from the tablet at the register, get water yourself, and the staff mostly barely speak English.

not a place ready for business. the space was not full at all but I was told to wait for 30 minutes for them even to take my order. why the hell anyone want to come and wait for indefinite time for a lunch. go to another place. not worth your time

Deeeeeelicious reasonably priced Sichuan soups and noodles. A nice no frills, hole in the wall atmosphere. Addictive, unami, and tingly mala flavors in every bite.

We go there often, after I discovered the place. The food is authentic. The environment is bad. The owner should hire cleaning lady to regularly clean the place thoroughly. I go often. The food is very authentic. But the environment is too bad. Especially in summer, it has a very strong smell. So I usually go there in winter. It is recommended that the boss hire a cleaning lady to clean the house every month.

Pretty good! The ingredients are solid, the quality is authentic, and the Sichuan hemp flavor is great

I ordered for take out and it was still delicious. The noodles were soft and made with the numbing spice. The dumplings were flavorful and you get plenty of them. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a good while and pleasant to say, I’m not disappointed. Definitely recommend!

My third time there in the past couple of months. Authentic (I am told) regional Sichuan cuisine. Very tasty food and despite the language barrier, friendly and helpful people. As some reviewers have noted, it's important to stir the noodle dishes to distribute the (delicious) sauces. The Shanghai Lollipop chicken, the plainest item on the menu, was perfectly cooked. The Army Pork Roll is unique and really good. More vegetable options would be a plus. Next time we'll explore beef and organ meat options. Yumm...can't wait!

It just tastes like a small noodle shop in Chengdu. I come here to eat when I feel homesick.
