One of the best pizza hands down! Definitely the pizza you can’t refuse!!! The owner is such a great guy— he welcomed us so warmly with garlic knots and hotdog!!! It’s not every time we get to visit Monroe, and when will definitely visit The Doughfather when in the area. 👍🏽👌🏼🙌🏽

I tried the grandma slice and the plain cheese pizza slice. I found both of them to be quite flavorful. The grandma slice had a solid flavor of basil in every bite. I would say even the plain cheese pizza was very flavorful in comparison to a lot of places where the sauce is just plain tomato. The slice was also cooked well. I think their grandma pizza slice is in my top three right next to L&L Pizza in Matawan but moving Red Tomato down by a notch to third place. Next on my list is they're Stillwell Pizza which I have heard about so much.

Best. Pizza. Ever. There's so many places around to get good pizza. If you want the best, get yourself a grandma pie from Doughfather and be done with it. I was so done with pizza when we tried this place. Never wanted another slice. Now, it's the only place I'll eat pizza from. Done and done.

I am very impressed. My mother and I stopped by to pick up a half white and half pepperoni pineapple. It is absolutely delicious! I have left overs thank God. Now the price will make you shutter until you pick up your pizza. Their large pie doesn't fit in the box! Also it is not only superb but also beautiful! They take care with presentation and that is important to me. Now the crust is also very good and crispy. I left a picture of how thin the crust is. Now when we leaving the man who rang us up noted our hesitation about the price and threwin two orders of zeppolis for free! I give them a full five stars. Now I would note the phone service has much to be improved. Despite my order being delcious it wasn't exactly what I requested. I wanted a half white and half pepperoni and pineapple... Which is usually white on half the pie then pizza sauce, cheese, pineapple, and pepperoni. Not a biggy but the person who took my order was very disoriented it seemed. Once in the store the hospitality was top notch. Definitely check this place out. Much better than the place they replaced.

The ONLY reason I order from these people is because they happen to be the ONLY restaurant around. But man oh man. The food is decent, but the service is absolutely TERRIBLE. Every single time they deliver food they ALWAYS forget something or mess up the order. I thought death and taxes are some of the things that are guaranteed in life. No no no… dough father messing up your order is GUARANTEED! It’s unbelievable how many orders they have messed up. Someone please open a spot next to them so these guys can shut down once and for all.

delicious, fresh made food. I’ve had pizzas, alfredo pasta, Stromboli’s, and gelato and they’re amazing … I especially love the calzones which are ridiculously huge 🥰 🤤

Great pizza spot, unfortunately the 2 slices that I bought today the crust was very hard within a moment that I got it. Slices were slightly smaller than the average. The place has a lot of parking though.

We were visiting from CA and decided to stop here for dinner on our way back to our AirBNB. We didn't realize this is a combo Italian restaurant and pizza place. We didn't have a reservation so the hostess asked if we wanted to sit in the pizza side of the restaurant, which was fine with us. My wife and I each had a pasta dish and our 1 1/2 old had a cheese pizza slice. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Everyone that works there are so friendly anf checked on us constantly! Would definitely recommend!!

Ordered the margarita pizza and was overwhelmingly disappointed. To begin with, the dough was not crisp and thin as I am accustomed to. The mozzarella had a rubber like texture and was not pleasant at all. Even though it was delivered, I placed it in the oven to crisp up, however I tasted no improvement. I had ordered from here previously and it was very good, but never had their pizza. As far as pizza, I’ll order somewhere else based on this experience, however I will consider this place again for their other dishes. Overall, I cannot go over a 3 star rating at this time. I’ll update if I order from here in the future.

Delicious and fresh food made with only the best stuff!!

Wonderful food and service. Dined here among a group of 7 people the evening of April 7 2023, at the recommendation of in-laws who have been here before. Two of us had linguine with white clam sauce, which was excellent. Others had zuppa di pesce, and an assortment of other dishes which I don't remember. Everyone praised their meal. Appetizers and desserts were also excellent. The server was efficient and attentive. We also appreciated the attentiveness of the owners, who frequently surveyed the room. For added enjoyment, two musicians played singable popular music that had the diners singing along. The best Italian restaurant I've experienced in New Jersey in many years.

Stopped in NJ on my way home to Virginia. Had one of the best pizzas, wings and garlic bread. I've been missing out, wish I ordered more, will be back next Christmas on my way up north. Seemed like nice people inside. Who's the Doughfather? I dough know but they make some good sheet.

Need a place to go to for a little party they have a perfect side room that is beautiful for that. I think we had 45 people for perfect..friends ordered the salmon dinner and raved about it..I ordered the eggplant great taste n wife ordered chicken parm hit the spot. Owner is really nice guy. All the workers are hands on and nice.

I ordered from here once before and it was excellent. Was on my way home tonight and decided that I needed a slice or two in me so I stopped here and was pleasantly surprised. I like my slices with a crunch and a good amount of flavor in the sauce and they nailed it 👌👌

Had an amazing dinner at Doughfather. They used to have the best pizza in town and have been going there for years. This was the first time experiencing their new location. We were blown away. Can’t say enough great things about the food.

We have been a long time fan since they were up the street on Taylor Ave for 10 years. The kids love their pizza and I have always been a fan of their chicken parm. The new place is much bigger and not has a restaurant portion. We were not sure how it would be but, after coming several times, we are happy to say it is great. The food is very tasty and the portions are huge. We will be back!

Well I'd say the food is good but I couldn't eat it because they've converted it into a pizzeria with three little tables, one of which was covered with pizza boxes. The side room that was the restaurant is now an Italian goods market. So even though it says 'dine in' available, it's really a table to grab a slice only.

I had lunch in their restaurant area (to the right as you walk in) today with two friends and my toddler daughter, the food was delicious and the waitress was nice enough to bring us some glasses of wine as we didn't realize it was a BYO and she knew we were celebrating our birthdays. She also brought my toddler her buttered pasta right away which was much appreciated. Food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meal.

Long time customer, never disappointed the food is always fresh, always in time for delivery and if you go in the restaurant the staff is great and friendly Thank You guys for feeding our community keep up the good work

As good as the pizza is, the entrees on the restaurant side are even better. The veal saltimbocca I had was fantastic. But save room for dessert and a nice espresso to cap off the meal.

My first time at Doughfather and it was wonderful. We had a party of 13 and we all thought the food was delicious. And, our waiter was fantastic, we all said he was the best!

Delicious authentic Italian dinners and great tasting Pizza. The owner Joe is very friendly and always does what he can keep customers happy.

We ordered catering for 70 people and all the guest loved and kept praising how delicious the food are! Everyone enjoyed and kept coming back for more. Everyone liked all the 6 dishes even the bread! The Doughfather is our new treasure found! Thank you Max for the awesome food and great service! I sent all my family and friends your way now! :) I highly recommend coming to the restaurant too. People are nice and you feel like you're dining at a friend's home. This place and food deserves more than 5 stars!

Went to the new Italian market side of Villa Laura today with my son. It was AMAZING - the inside beautifully decorated and displays fresh/Italian foods so well. The food we got was delicious and right around the corner, save the trip to ShopRite deli counter, this place is as good as it gets. They also have refrigerated meals, ready to slice deli meats and fresh bread!! Must go if you live in Monroe/Spotswood area! Thanks for the amazing foods Villa Laura Italian Market - this is our new shoppe!! 5 Stars Highly Recommend 🌟👍👍👍👍👍

Regular Pizza is solid. Margarita Pizza is very good; love that it was not overly salted. They do give a lot of food for their entrees. Pasta Fagiola had no flavor and Veal Saltimbocca was ok. The Marsala sauce could use more flavor, for the price. We once ordered Chicken Parm Calzones and while gigantic, it only had a few little pieces of chicken scattered throughout; disappointing. Chicken Cacciatore was pretty good. Delivery guy was very nice and friendly.

A great variety of pizza and pasta dishes! I loved their Grandma and Greek pizzas. Their bread is amazing, especially their cheese garlic bread and eggplant parm sandwich. And I was happy they had rigatoni, which was delicious with their marinara, tomato, and vodka sauces.

I ordered a ton of food to try just about everything and was not disappointed. The bruschetta was my favorite! Sauteed broccoli and spinach were delicious. Pizza was great.

Average Tasting Pizza. Little Pricey. They would be more competitive, and sell more, if they lowered their prices. Friendly Service.

Came for a Bridal Shower and everything was wonderful. True attention to detail. The food was wonderful. I hadn't been here in years, but since there have been new owners... I was pleasantly shocked. I live across the street and now I definitely know where I will be calling. Eggplant was amazing and the penne Ala vodka was to die for.

Pasta is always cooked perfect the Bolognese sauce is the best around hands-down never any water from the pasta in with your marinara the best around Fuhgeddaboutit

Stumbled upon this place w a couple of hungry kids. We had a veggie slice and 2 square grandma slices. The dough was incredible and perfectly satisfying in a crunchy way. The dine in area was casual and homey and comfortable. Would definitely order from or dine in again!

Well I was very apprehensive about getting chicken noodle soup from here because most places can’t make soup. It’s definitely not like the water based soup at the Monroe deli. Frozen for months, defrosted, and has zero flavor what so ever, literally just noodles in yellow water. Some people need to retire and just realize they never were a cook at all. I was so pleasantly surprised. Your chicken noodle is a banger and I’ll definitely come back for it!!!!! Amazing. Thank you guys so much. Made my night 👍🫡☺️ I recommend this to anyone. Found my new soup spot! Plus y’all so nice and pleasant.
