If you have an emergency, do not go to this location! I have been experiencing chest pains that have traveled to my arms and fingers over the last few days. When I was first omitted, Dr. Shetal P asked if anyone in my family has had a heart attack under the age of 50 and pretty much based her diagnosis on this (ignoring my high blood pressure 179/87). Shetal P told the nurse to draw blood for tests. Naturally, I was very worried and scared. I asked the nurse what the bloodwork would determine about my heart. He made me feel at ease with the explanation as I do not trust results from EKGs. After drawing the blood, Shetal P came back and told the nurse that he did not need to do this (after ordering him to do so). I explained to Shetal P that I live alone and have serious concern because of a cousin who had an EKG performed after complaining about leg problems. The EKG was normal and a week later, she passed away from a heart attack. Shetal P dismissed me, was not empathetic and became combative arguing that my cousin did not die from a heart attack and her job at the ER was not to tell me what was wrong but tell me what is ruled out. I asked if there was another doctor available that I could get a second opinion. Shetal P responded verbatim, "You're welcome to go somewhere else." This is a "doctor" who was rude, irritable, unprofessional, condescending and uncaring. Colored or not, I felt she was racist and thought she had some ignorant person who she could speak inferior to and was wasting her time (did I mention that I came to the hospital because of chest pains spreading to my arms and hands?). To top the level of her unprofessionalism and credits as a doctor, I was able to walk out the hospital with all of my blood samples that she left on the table. How scary is all of this? If you have serious problems, save yourself and go elsewhere! Side note: The nurses said they would have done the bloodwork and apologized for Shetal P's surly, inexcusable behavior.

I accompanied my daughter to metro labor & delivery earlier this week. After recommending this hospital because this is where I delivered her 20 years ago, I was embarrassed. There was an all white nursing staff that completely mishandled my daughter. Was it because we are black ? Who will ever know. It doesn’t matter why. If you people do not want to service ALL people, please quit your job. These are real lives you are putting in jeopardy FIND NEW JOBS. Her primary OBGYN sent her there and he doesn’t care about my daughter and her unborn child. We are leaving this pitiful hospital system.

If you are in pain this ER dept. will tell you its nothing they can do and just have you sitting there. They will refuse to discharge you. And they will have you sitting around waiting while they up at the desk just talking and laughing like patients aint waiting. I regret even coming to this hospital. These people need their licenses revoked and next time ima stick to UH where they make sure sure to give you the right meds and not try to kill you.

Terrible customer service. Emergency visit: no one at desk when we walked in. Then front desk was very lazy and could not care less while my partner was bleeding and shaking in front of her. Took ages to get a phone number and to call someone. She was not even wearing a mask. Very poor communication, left us waiting over an hour without any explanation. Everyone is lazy, moving slowly, and does not seem to care. The doctor and the medic, however, were pleasant and professional.

Representative very rude!!! I explained I called for walk-in service based on insurance recommendations. Didn’t let me explain why I called. Asked who my doctor was. Obviously, he didn’t listen

This place is horrible the staff is horrible the demeanor etiquette of the entire facility horrible. Im asking general questions to be met with attitude. I have family here i want answers to my questions like when are visiting hours. These ppl clearly hate their job but thats ok I will gladly help you move on to your next career i dont feel like any patient is safe here and all persons should remove persona from here immediately. The staff hate their jobs and if they are openly hateful to families of patients asking basic questions they have no patience for mental health patients

My experience here just sucked. I came 8 weeks pregnant for a pre natal visit. When I mentioned my fainting pregnancy symptoms, instead of doing a HCG level test, Mrs Carmen Dawson just told me I was blessed. With no more investigation. As a result, I had to request an early ultrasound because I knew something wasn't going right. One week later, the ultrasound confirmed my pregnancy had stopped but there was no formal diagnosis that could be given to me by the technician or the radiologist, only an OB-GYN could so I had to make an appointment...a few days later. The night after the ultrasound I started my miscarriage at 2 AM in my bed. The next day, I called 4 times the Clinic of Cleveland Hts to know what to do and how to deal with my growing pain. I got told to take tylenol and a hot shower! Basically, no care was provided. No help to deal with my pain which made my stress grow and skyrocket at 8PM, when the pain and "spasms" (to not say contractions) became so unbearable that I had no other choice left at this time of the day but to go to the ER. I found out once at the ER the nurses I had over the phone 4x that day couldn't tell me to take Ibuprofen to release the pain. Why? Because the miscarriage hadn't been diagnosed prior. And why hadn't it been diagnosed? Because Mrs Dawson missed the opportunity to find it out. It was her job to listen to me carefully and take these signs seriously! At the ER, some pregnancy tissues got sent to the lab but the analysis came back inconclusive. Why? because they send whatever, what needed to be sent to the lab was the sac...that I had lost at home. So this lab work was useless as it wasn't the good sample. This whole experience resulted with a bill that the Metrohealth hasn't been willing to cancel although I can count more than one mistake, the feeling of a broken health system with conflict of interests, an incompetent medical team and on top of the loss of my baby, I'm still trying to overcome my anger about what happened a year ago now.

Most despicable emergency room visit here. I was told by my specialist department to go to the E.R. and because EMERGENT symptoms worsening I was dismissed and I feel worse. To everyone reading, please file complaints to the patient relation department. I'm not new to E.R. dismissing me but I haven't had a need to go to a hospital in this came for years. I'm also new to MH system as I've always been a UH and CC person. So called "Medic" guy at the desk didn't even care to patiently walk with me to the room after interrogating me with an attitude. I'm a chronically ill person and the doctor disregarded pains and breathing issues etc. After explaining I was literally sent to emergency room from my specialists and pcp aware if that they did no type of follow up to assess what what was wrong. I have more to say but I made sure all the inaccuries went to Patient Relations. So called doctors in a mass pandemic and issues and no one cares when you're literally worse. Heartless folk don't need to be doctors and hope they have every bad thing coming to them. Advocate for yourself despite being dismissed and take it up with higher admin in the companies and keep it pushing. Overall, my experience in other departments at this facility at CH is okay.

The doctor gave me a knee brace I said I didn't need which I later found out was in order to charge me $100+ dollars for it. Also the women at the desk were unhelpful in connecting my insurance to my bill which I had to do on my own.

Nice enough people but sweet Lordy Lord the parking is terrible. I aint never seen no hospital where you might get into a fist fight over some parking. Hell when I came for my appointment someone was taking a wheelchair across the street to that home depot for the person they was bringing to they doctor. Also a cafeteria would be nice to have here

I brought my daughter to the emergency room, unaware that she had Covid and going into Organ failure due to an infection in her blood.. She was transferred to the click building eight W. 409 because God gets all the glory. I must commend all the nurses and staff the special doctor at the Cleveland Heights emergency room Night Shift, they did a beautiful job taking care of my daughter and being so patient with her because she was in bad shape mentally physically, and emotionally. There’s a Jewish doctor that works night shift at Cleveland Hts. Emergency location . He is such a beautiful man. And he cares about his patients.. We have dealt with him on several occasions. God bless each and every member of the staff doctors nurses. I pray that the Lord will continue to give y’all, wisdom and knowledge and peace in your decisions for everybody I can’t thank you enough, at the Glick building who worked tirelessly taking care of my daughter on all shifts and she left ICU going home but God gets all the glory. Thank you so much MetroHealth God bless.

I had an appointment scheduled for 1:20 pm, and was asked to come in 10 minutes early online. When I arrived they didn't have my appointment listed, they were polite and called the LGBTQ clinic I had my appointment with, and were informed that my appointment was cancelled, and that they tried to call. I had not received any calls from them nor any information that my appointment was cancelled. I asked if I could speak to someone at the actual lgbtq clinic but was just informed they were on lunch and can't come to the phone (despite them just talking on the phone with them.) I then asked if there was any POSSIBLE way I could get an appointment with ANYONE from the clinic, and they said unfortunately no, and referred me to Gordon Square. Ironically, I had gone there originally but my appointment was cancelled there due to the doctor being sick. They actually informed me that the doctor was sick at Gordon Square when they cancelled my appointment (this was yesterday.) The Cleveland Height Medical Center didn't call, text or write me in ANY way to inform me my appointment was cancelled. I wouldn't be so annoyed, but I've wasted personal time and I've wasted 30 minutes driving half way across town to be told this.

Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. Much better than the the urgent cares and wait time was 15 minutes. Doctor answered all our questions and concerns. The Cleveland Heights location is very efficient and very nice.

I was only here for about 15 minutes and it was the best experience being in a hospital I’ve ever had! Every member of staff including custodians were extremely friendly and helpful. All questions were answered and done so in a way I felt I was getting the best care possible.

They did a great job here and know how to handle my health situation. I left a different hospital and it was one of the best decisions I made. The staff is extremely nice.
