Hands-down the most incredible meal I’ve had in Buffalo. I went with my family on a Thursday evening. There was something on the menu for everyone! The attention to detail on the food presentation was beautiful. It was delicious and each dish was paired well with the sides and sauces. For appetizers we had the mussels Dijon, a tasty twist on a traditional favorite of ours, as well as the asparagus Bernaise, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend the scallop risotto and the salmon, served with tobacco onions, giving the dish the perfect crunch. Truly was the best salmon dish I’ve ever tasted. For desert, we tried the dark chocolate olive oil cake which was also delicious. Hats off to the new chef, Conor Braungart! He let us know he is excited to frequently change up the menu, offering his guests an exciting new experience every time they come in. We will definitely be back!

Very lovely place for a nice dinner or Sunday brunch! Service was excellent, food was even better! Also a proper Mocktail always makes me happy!

It was a wonderful anniversary dinner. The food was all fresh and delicious. Sorry I didn’t take more photos. We had the mushroom toast, scallops, halibut, and chicken Milanese. Everything was perfectly prepared and staff was attentive and personable.

Very nice atmosphere, small menu but they do offer specials. I ordered the pan seared scallop which was cooked perfectly and the French onion soup that was very tasty. I also ordered the crab cakes to share with my guest my only complaint would be they were a little overdone on the bottom and slightly undercooked in the middle. Resulting in 4/5!

The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. The dishes the chef prepared are perfect for the season, creative and satisfy a creative and more conservative palate. A true taste of 5 star dining. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

One of the best brunches I have ever had. I went with my husband and a friend, and we shared the bread plate, which had popovers, fresh breads, apple butter and fresh butter to share. It was to die for- the largest popovers I have ever seen. I then had the french toast, which was incredible, sticky, sweet, and delicious, with an aromatic twist of rosemary and orange in the mix. My friend and I shared the grits, which was a delicious and creamy delight added to our already decadent meal. My husband had an omelette with a salad (he has dietary restrictions) and that was wonderful as well. We shared a large french press of coffee, and hung around for a few hours, talking, nibbling and enjoying ourselves. We were not rushed out or made to feel we were taking up space or time- we were allowed to just be lazy and enjoy the late, long morning. It was such a delight- we even got to speak with the Chef, who was such a wonderfully sweet and open man, and talked about the different things we ate and answered our questions on what flavors we were tasting in our various dishes. He mentioned they make their own pasta and gnocchi, and I can't wait to go back and try that.

Service was great, staff was very pleasant and overall did a great job. I ordered a special cocktail and it was soo strong way too much bitters were used. The food was hit or miss, the apps we had stuffed portobello mushroom was amazing, meatballs were just okay nothing to run home to Nani about. The pop overs the serve to the table so good . entrees we had the pork chop it was really good, but the sides were basic and didn't pair well with the chop , broccoli rab was hardly edible, and sweet potato mash wasn't seasoned. Chicken parm was one of the worst. Chicken was so thick that the outside was burnt from being fried for so long. Lastly I had a Vodka sausage dish, it was good but kinda basic was literally just noodles and chopped up sausage..

We held our company Christmas party at carte Blanch. There were 30 of us so we had a private event on the 2nd floor. There was plenty of space, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the small bar was perfect and the craft cocktails were top notch, food was excellent and the staff were professional, friendly and super accommodating. 5 stars all the way around. Perfect place for an event like this!

Amazing! I held my baby shower Sunday morning with 15 attendants and this was the perfect venue. We had an upstairs room partitioned off with a half curtain for a bit of privacy from other patrons. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous as is, but they welcomed us to decorate to our preference. I wanted "winter woodland" and this couldn't have been a more perfect space that just naturally fell into that theme! We had a mimosa bar, fruit bowl, and popovers with cream, vanilla raspberry spread, and caramel sauce. A French press coffee service was brought out between appetizers and brunch. The drinks we're absolutely lovely! The decaf coffee didn't even need creamer--so smooth. The service was absolutely amazing. With the half curtain, we we're in full view of the bar, so at all times the servers could see when we were ready for the coffee service, when the mimosa bar needed restocking, when the plates needed to be cleared, and waters refilled. They were prompt, polite, and added wonderfully to the experience. I had 3 choices for brunch: chicken and waffles, eggs benedict, and cheese omlette. Each dish was absolutely WONDERFUL and the perfect amount of food. I had the chicken and waffles and was so happy with it! Since we started with appetizers, the brunch portion was just enough for each guest to finish the plate and not be overly full. I asked around and each guest enjoyed her breakfast immensely. Carte Blanche was so accommodating and kind while we played a little game, unwrapped presents (they even brought out a trash hamper just for wrapping paper!), and welcomed the smokers to step out on the upstairs patio. When our party was over, they even helped me walk my presents out to the car. Truly above and beyond! I absolutely cannot say enough nice things about this experience. The venue, the food, the drinks, the service--everything came together into the most perfect baby shower a girl could ever dream of! Thank you so much for making the day so special not just for me, but for all my guests. If you have a shower coming up, I can not think of a better place to host it!

Used to love going here! Drinks are still great, service is usually fantastic BUT they have changed their whole menu recently. Menu is not large to start with but they have gone more towards Italian dishes lately and the food is not great anymore. Prime rib special was the strangest version I've had yet, dunked in gravy it seemed and not cooked traditionally. Would love to see the giant meatball and the original sauce again!!! Mushroom toast is all that's left of the good menu.

Actually 4.5. Excellent first experience. The service was attentive (Mallory), the ambiance was beautiful & the food was good: oysters (though a few shell pieces), filet, and salmon with scallops (beautiful flavor combos and textures, but the couscous was cold). My complaint (not worth deducting stars) is that it was arctic cold in there. When we went outside to the 60° it was much warmer.

I was so excited to try this place- as I have heard many raving reviews. However; unfortunately our experience there tonight was very lack luster. I made a reservation online unknowingly for the outdoor area. They told me this when I arrived and asked if I wanted to sit at the bar instead- which I obliged. It seems like something you would block off on your reservations to begin with if you aren’t able to accommodate. The bartender was wonderful- no complaints there. My biggest complaint is with the food. The bread was over cooked on the outside and ice cold on the inside. The pasta was over cooked as well as the meat entrees. Overall the bill was over $200 for food I could have made better at home for $20. I love going to fine end restaurants and have become a regular at many, but unfortunately I will not be adding Carte Blanche to that list.

Celebrated our co worker birthday here. Really good spot, food was amazing, drinks were delicious, and lastly our bartender/waiter Jack was phenomenal, so professional and he knew how to make some bomb margaritas! 10/10 would return again :)

It was pretty good, but weird that they said their dessert vendor wasn't open on Saturdays or something so they ran out. If you want dessert on a Saturday, go early. The food was good. We wanted to order a bottle of wine later in the meal, but couldn't get the waitress' attention until we were told of the *lack of* desserts at that point we just went up the street for ice cream.

My first time here and it did not disappoint! The manager served us and he was absolutely fabulous. Everything from perfect wine suggestions to witty banter. I'll definitely be back!

We were seated in the beautiful outdoor dining area on a pleasant September evening. Didn’t appreciate the manager showing all that chest hair. Noticed that no bread or popovers were given. Asked the server if the beet salad was big enough for 2 and was assured that it was. Each plate had about a fist worth of salad on it $12 salad I had the linguini with leeks but it was more like leeks with linguini. No salt and pepper on the table, at it needed something. My wife had the scallops, which were better but we’re overpowered with tomatoes (not listed on menu). Ordered the cheesecake, which was the width of my finger $10. The real problem came when we tried to use a gift card. It was printed by Carte Blanche yet they denied it. Said it didn’t have all the numbers. The last time we were there, they gave us a hard time about a gift card as well. Kind of makes us not want to go anymore. It is a cool looking restaurant though.

The food was AMAZING! (We tried two of the daily specials offered). Great bartender (Michael) too! We will definitely be returning. Reservations recommended because the place has limited seating and is popular, even on a Wednesday night!

Such a lovely experience we had here! I've been here before but last night was lovely! Our server was great, we had a few people with food sensitivities and they were so helpful and accommodating. Our server, management, and really the whole staff was so attentive and kind. The food was amazing and cooked perfectly. Thank you for a great experience!

Our server was fantastic! Really nice dinner! We started with meat and cheese board which I think was our favorite! There’s something about sharing that brings everybody together!! We also got popovers which were also amazing!! Hot and crusty! Perfect! Our entrees were all really good too!!

Amazing restaurant! Food was amazing and the staff was great. Would give 6 stars if possible! Perfect for a special occasion or just for a nice meal. A must-visit if you’re only in town for a few days. But you may end up wanting to eat here twice. Beautiful patio area as well! I’ll be coming back often!
