This is the most beautiful basilica I have ever seen! I felt the peace and beauty of Our Lady in every inch of the church. The Mass was beautiful and I was happy that every statue had candles in front of them to light asking for intercessory prayers. The gift shop had very reasonable prices and the staff was very friendly. I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend visiting this shrine!

This was my first time visiting the area and this building jumped out at me and I couldn’t resist the need to turn around and go back to see if it was open. I happen to go in right before mass but I was still able to take pictures and do a candle offering. This is an amazing building and everyone there spoke and was very welcoming. I loved my time spent here today.

The basilica is stunning and completely awe-inspiring! One feels completely saturated with divine love and power within its walls, whether one considers themselves a spiritual person or not. It seemed unbelievable to me how very warm, inviting, and accessible entry into the building is. There seems to be no apprehension or guardedness to having the unidentified public cross it's threshold, and yet visitors seemed entirely respectful of the property and unobtrusive with their presence. Remarkable really.

This place is so divine and Holy. It is breathtaking architecture and art work .. I just wanted to stick around this place for longer . History of Father Baker's touched me deeply, pure soul like him is obscure .. He is good example for kindness and Child of God

Very beautiful Catholic Basilica built through the leadership of Monsignorr Nelson Baker in Lackawanna, NY. He is called the Apostle of Charity because he spent his time caring for orphans and unmarried pregnant women at a time where there were no governmental social services in Buffalo/Lackawanna, NY area. The cause for his canonization is being studied by the Catholic Church hierarchy now.

Beautiful Catholic church in South Buffalo, New York. We toured it without assistance and took a number of pictures. It has quite an amazing story as does the priest who was head of it for many years.

I'm not religious, but this place is an architectural gem! And very welcoming to visitors coming in just to look around the magnificent building. Stunning marble in all manner of forms--walls, statuary, fonts, etc. If you're so inclined, you can make a small donation & light a candle for someone.

I WOULD GIVE THIS AMAZING PLACE 100 stars If it was an option!! There are no words that can describe this awesome House of The Lord. Father Nelson Bakers vision to build such a National Treasure is truly a gift to me and anyone who shall be blessed to pass through those doors! You will not be disappointed- just come with a good heart & be ready for healings and miracles to take place! Not only in your life (like it did mine) but in those you love ❤️!! Amen ! Stay blessed! AND BE KIND AND OF SERVICE TO SOMEONE ELSE! Other than oneself - just for today!! Amen & so it is written in the Lambs Book of Life !!

One of the most beautiful examples of something we humans have made. I would recommend anyone to stop by and visit when they don't have an event going on.

I've been here several times for mass. The church is absolutely beautiful and reminds me of the old churches in Europe. The church is open during the day. I recommend visiting it when there's no service, so you can walk around and admire it. There's also a Father Baker museum in the basement.

Gorgeous interior replicating some of the finest European church design. The stations of the cross are impressive. A must see for those looking to see a range of architecture in Buffalo.

Whether you are Catholic or not, you will really be amazed at the top notch level of art and beauty here. It is a place of worship, so be considerate of those there who use it as such. I have taken may friends to see it and each goes away thanking me profusely, saying they never though there was a church of this magnitude of beauty and art outside of Europe. From the floors to the walls to the ceiling, there is so much to behold. You will not believe your eyes. Built by Father Baker ( of orphanage fame), it is the only other basilica in the USA besides the National Basilica in Washington, D.C. The orange and yellow umbrella near the altar is the symbol that denotes that it is a basilica. Downstairs is a museum about Father Baker, the orphanage and the construction of the basilica. Very interesting. There's also a large gift shop as well. The industrial building next to the parking lot houses a power station. The power station is powered to this day by a natural gas well that Father Baker was told in a vision by the Virgin Mary to have drilled ( over objections by geologists that it was a waste of time and money! ). Make a day of it and see the Botanical Gardens nearby!

This basilica reminded me of cathedrals in Europe with all beautiful paintings, decorations and sculptures. Whether you are religious or not I highly recommend visiting it if you visit Buffalo

Amazing what Good can do through one man guided by the Holy Spirit. Go downstairs into the museum and read about the history of the area before going up into the sanctuary of this most amazing and beautiful Catholic church

It's one of the most beautiful churches I've been to. It's absolutely stunning and beautifully dedicated to our Lady. But I have to say that the cashier at the gift shop today was absolutely rude and ill mannered. I had two simple questions about where can I find a shopping basket and if the rosary comes with a box...yes, you read that right... a basket and a rosary box and he was absolutely condescending and snarkey in his answers as one would think I asked the most outrageous questions. Just his overall rudeness towards me almost felt like a personal attack. I have not received such rude customer service like this in a long time. It's quite sad that it occurred at our beautiful basilica.

Gorgeous basilica. Amazing architecture, totally recommended for prayers or visit. Also a great place for first time visitors. You can do the basilica and the botanical gardens in one trip

Very beautiful church. Every inch is art dedicated to God. Final resting place of Ven. Fr. Baker. All 14 stations of the cross are sculptures.
