Despite the website saying this is kid-friendly, it is not. We drove an hour for our scheduled tour. After we paid our $10 per adult, the tour guide made an off hand comment that if our children made noises, then they would have to leave. Sure enough, within the first few minutes, our 1 year old cried out and we were kicked out. We tried to come back in shortly after and the tour guide gave us the rudest look and pointed us to the exit. Such rules need to be communicated when making reservations and at least before payment; and the website should be updated. Such a waste.

We didn't go into the house because of the ten dollars per person admission cost. The ladies working there were very nice but we just took a peek instead. The garden and garage/shed were pretty and well-kept. Gave us a glimpsr of what a former Prrsident of the United States who lived in Western New York might have lived like. We sat out in the garden for a while and took some pictures.

The Millard Fillmore house and museum was my destination when visiting the Buffalo area. Situated in East Aurora, NY, on a quiet residential corner, you might think he could be anyone's neighbor. He built this house so that is the first and best thing to remember about it. Millard was only president from 1850-53, and unfortunately one of the lesser known U.S. Presidents. As such, you can't expect something as grand as Hyde Park & FDR's museum. Millard was a humble man and you can see that represented in his museum. You will also learn about the occupants of the home afterwards and how it came to be preserved from the 1800s. If you don't know a lot about President Fillmore, you will by the end of the tour. I am a bit biased because Millard Fillmore is my favorite President, but I truly think that anyone with an appreciation for history would enjoy this tour. Also includes actual Millard Fillmore owned and period artifacts as well as a small museum on the back end of the house. You do need to call in advance to arrange a tour, but that was no trouble at all. The tour guide was excellent and a wealth of information. I wish they would include literature about other Millard Fillmore places of interest for you to go and visit after the home, such as his law office, original location of the home, grave, etc.

Beautiful little place to learn about Millard Fillmore and his life before and after his presidency. And the staff are one of the beast and friendliest people I've seen on the my trip.

Extremely interesting with a lot to see and learn. We have our meeting there for DAR once a year. My chapter is Abigail Fillmore, so it's important to us.

Enthusiastic personal attention from the hosts. Many items of great interest that had been in the Fillmore White House 170 years ago, including a piano I was encouraged to play.

Had a lovely tour with the two tour guides who did a great job weaving in Millard Fillmore’s life, life in East Aurora, and the history of the house itself. This was on par with National Parks historic sites. Would highly recommend, regardless of whether or not you are a Millard Fillmore aficionado.

The passion the guides have for the house and President are undefeated. I have been to many president's houses but they really made the experience next level for a president that oftentimes gets overlooked. Don't miss this!

I have not been here yet but I have relatives who have and enjoyed it, Millard Fillmore is my 4th cousin and I have several pictures of him and his wife Abigail. Also lots of stories about him and my aunt and uncles. He was a great person and great leader from what I've been told.

Definitely recommend. The house has more to it than you'd think from the outside, and the docent, Kathy, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Millard Fillmore Presidential Site. Kathy was quick to respond to my phone call to set up our tour. Kathy and Jonathan were excellent guides and we learned a great deal about President Fillmore, his family and the East Aurora area. Would definitely recommend taking time out to visit!
