    Thank you to the Harper’s team for your incredible customer service! I recently ordered a gift from your store and it arrived so quickly with the sweetest personalized card inside. It was such a great personal touch that brought an instant smile upon opening my package! It is so great to support local businesses who truly care about their customers.     Harpers is such a fantastic place. I loved shopping in the store when I went to Penn State a very long time ago even though I could not afford much of anything. Luckily, I have been back the past 25+ years post football games and visits. Recently, I purchased a very nice Penn State logo'd vest which had a defective zipper through no fault of Harpers. When I called, the owner Brian happened to answer the phone. He had a super pleasant demeanor and quickly understood the issue that I had and near immediately offered to take care of my issue. Without going into the details, he went out of his way to say I have you covered and with short supply I will call you next year when we reorder these vest and just replace yours. Fast forward to today (8 months earlier than expected) and my pre-Christmas replacement vest arrived and wrapped as though I was their best customer ever. My point is simple in a world of chaos and businesses going out of their way to make money as opposed to giving the premium experience that is deserved by all: there seems to be zero companies operating this way. Thank you Brain and Harpers as you all are in minority! I am now a customer for life and quiet frankly may only shop your store in State College. The best of brands, and awesome shopping experience, and I always walk away thinking what will they have next season. Thank you Harpers Team!

    First time visiting with my nephew who is a student at Penn State. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, if needed, and outlined the store for us so we knew where to find things. Beautiful, high quality clothing. Loved that you had a separate Penn State section.

    I made a recent purchase at Harpers this past week and found their service, pricing and product selection to be perfect as always. I’ve purchased several men’s clothing items from them in the past, and I keep returning because of the great selection and professional service. The staff there are always available, exceedingly pleasant and never pushy. Well done!

    I've been in the past for alterations, they always do a good job. Walked in today to ask for an opinion on a coat that I was looking to have tailored, was basically told to get the F out unless I had an appointment. In the past, I have always walked in and I understand that they cannot always accept walk ins, and a simple explanation of that would have been appropriate. The way that I was spoken to is no way a business owner should EVER speak to a loyal customer. I didn't even make it three feet in the door before I was turned away. Honestly so disappointing. I will not be back.

    I had several experiences over the past month or 2 while trying to get suits for myself and my father. The male owner is absolutely phenomenal. He was able to work with my dad who is absolutely fussy and annoying. I am incredibly grateful he was able to help him get fitted and have a suit that looks good. I was also able to get a suit and get it altered to fit well. We were able to use the suit package they offer to get a really good deal. We had a lot of trouble getting them to contact us when our things came in. We were purchasing the suits for an event and we had to continuously call them to get updates on the ordered items. Through that process I was hung up on and left unprofessional voicemails. The suit that was ordered for me was not what I asked for. And most recently I was told that the final item had been sitting for a week with no attempt at contact to either myself or my father. When we finally went in to pick up the last item, every single person in the store had to help find and ring it out even though it was already paid for and took nearly 45 minutes. The female owner was incredibly rude and snobby. Many of the student employees are very nice but not the best at doing their job and their turnover seems to be a lot of the confusion around my issues. Or at least that was the excuse I was given. For the price I paid for everything, I am happy with the products I got but not the service.

    You may never experience the kind of extended personal customer service that I continue to receive from the staff at Harpers. Once again - even after over a year, when I called their attention to a sizing order for a custom shirt: they said no problem we will get you another. It’s that simple - and I will always return to do business with them…even from 5 states away! Special thanks to Rae Harlow…thanks for everything- they could 5 of you!!

    I had a great experience at harpers. Tyrone was extremely helpful with the suit selection and fitting. The suit package is an unbelievable deal. The suit quality and tailoring was excellent. I would definitely recommend harpers to anyone looking for a great suit.

    Great store here in State College. The interview package is unbeatable. I got a suit here, many custom dress shirts and slacks. Everything was great. Nathan is a great help and has a great sense of style.

    Wonderful experiences from both me and my partner. A perfectly tailored suit for him and wonderful dress alterations for me. Very nice shopping experience with personal attention from every staff member. Absolutely an expert tailor on hand! I had a wedding dress altered recently and it was perfectly done. The seams lined up perfectly with the slip seams, which is so important with a white dress. Price was right for the quality. I was also lucky to have it done two weeks early which was not necessary but appreciated!

    Harper’s is fantastic. I feel lucky to have such a unique shopping option in such a small town. The malls around here are dead. I hate shopping online. Harpers is an oasis when it comes to quality menswear. The retail prices of new seasonal items can seem high but the service is top notch, the staff is knowledgeable and if you stop in at the right time of year you can always get a great deal. I’d rather spend a little more to support a local business than order something online and pray it fits.

    This is an outstanding fine clothing store in the heart of downtown State College in Happy Valley PA! They have excellent selection and stupendous customer service! I always go here for my upscale clothing needs! Highly recommend!

    We are so fortunate to have Harpers in our community. They are a personalized shopping service during an era in which shopping is largely depersonalized and virtual. Sue, in the Harpers women's section, is wonderful to work with, helping you determine both style and fit for any occasion (she helped me with outfits for a trip abroad).

    We're longtime customers, and have always been impressed with the personalized service, attention to detail, and the quality of every item at the shop. Recently, we were so appreciative of the extra measure of customer service that allowed us to select and purchase some items via a phone conversation with a sales associate, and have these items delivered to our home -- by the shop owner, wearing a mask and offering us such gracious service, on my husband's birthday. The degree of personalized service was extraordinary and so friendly. The quality of every detail of Harper's offerings and service is unmatched, every single time: shopping there is always a pleasure.

    I grew up in State College but currently live in Chicago. Whenever I go back to visit I make a point to visit Harper's. I've bought everything from suits to belts to dress shirts from this store and love every piece that I own. The quality is exceptional and there is a great selection to choose from. To me, the Harper's experience meets or exceeds what I have encountered in a large city with many options.

    Perhaps let’s not push people into lower grade stores. I came in looking for a pair of socks (2). One for me, a female and another for my male friend as a gift but I was given one up and down glance, granted I was in shorts because it was 80+ degrees out, and told to look at target. Good for being well cleaned, having a great guide as soon as entering, and advice while looking around. Poor review for being rushed out by a woman that was on the phone the entire time. Sunday May 22.
