I got a delivery of 2 pizzas and a chicken salad. I began by eating a hunk of the chicken off the salad only to find RAW chicken within the strips I had started eating. I called to notify them and get a refund. Only to be dealt with by a rude phone girl who claimed they don’t cook with raw chicken only precooked. Basically calling me a LIAR. Look at the pictures, that’s RAW CHICKEN. She told me I couldn’t get my money back only a new salad or credit. The manager also offered to send another salad in which I asked her why I would risk my health twice by eating from your establishment again?

Danny’s is going downhill. Been coming for years but last night was not good. The place was nearly empty. Understaffed, the service at the bar was bad. Ordered a pizza to go and a couple of beers while we waited. We were joined at bar by some broke homeless looking lady who admitted she wasn’t ordering anything that she was broke. Just needed a warm place to sit for a bit. The small uncomplicated pizza took about a half hour to cook. The bill for two beers and the carryout pizza was nearly forty bucks.

This just may be the best pizza in Illinois, let alone Elgin! The thin crust is crispy and a perfect complement to the toppings. We ordered a 4-topping pizza with sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, and olives. What a great combo! The sausage is made specially for the restaurant, and the sauce has a great profile, not too sweet. Bar offers a wide variety of beers and ales. We also ordered the variety appetizer plate. Mozzarella sticks were tops, with onion rings a close second. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure why I keep ordering from here when everytime I do I'm disappointed. Maybe because it's close. But that stops today. Every time we ordered from here something is wrong. Completely wrong order, missing key ingredients, get sick from food, food just doesn't taste good. Last night we ordered a salad that was missing multiple ingredients and was warm, leaving me with food poisoning. We took two bites of our food and had to throw it out. Everything they use seems to be already processed and from frozen, nothing house made. Nothing special about the place. Pizza was good one time we ordered it. Will definitely not be returning.

We had ordered delivery since we had a Birthday Party for my daughter at the Centre. Let's say I wasn't too pleased that our order was messed up. I had originally ordered an XL cheese and an XL double dough pepperoni. An employee had written on the receipt next to the cheese 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 sausage. So I never got my cheese pizza. Got the half pepperoni and sausage instead. I called once I realized the order was messed up and the woman on the other line didn't want to try and fix my order. She said I could buy a new cheese pizza. Why would I have to buy a new one when my order was messed up and wasn't my fault?! I explained to her it was my daughter's birthday and with dietary restrictions I needed this cheese pizza specifically for her. Instead I was offered a $9 credit. On a $24 cheese pizza that I originally bought but never received! I wasn't too pleased that my daughter couldn't eat any pizza on her birthday. (And it wouldn't be delivered again on time within our party room timeline). Since I couldn't leave.

Nothing like a warm soda to wash down a cold, hard slice of pizza. I got Danny's Bucks in the mail, so I thought I'd see if it's safe for my family as alternative to the chain pizza shops. I went in at 12:05 pm on a Friday. The pizza by the slice looked, felt and tasted like it had been in the warmer since 8:30 that morning. It was cold, hard and tasteless. When you hold a slice that big by the crust and it sticks straight out like a piece of cardboard, you know it's not going to be fresh or good. Maybe the downtown Elgin population already knows about the pizza, because there were zero other people in the restaurant while I was in there. Sorry, Danny's, I won't be coming back.

Went here for a birthday party. The Servers and Bartenders are friendly, attentive and proficient. The pizza was very good. A good thin, crispy, crust. We had the chance to try different toppings and all were great. Came for a party, we will be back for the pizza. The atmosphere is loud but it's all fun!

What happened with this place?! Ordered Gluten Free, (great in past), $27 tiny pizza at 5:22, received 6:50 still tipped nice. Burnt & cold, hardly any cheese, misshaped. Didn't want to complain knew they were bombed for New Year's Eve & I was starving. Went to bed early to be woke with abdominal pain having violent diarrhea, several times! Rough night. Still not feeling well this morning, more bathroom visits, trying to sip as much water as I could and called to let Danny's know at 11:29, girl was nice said manager was in basement one of them would call me back, took number, & name of credit card as son treated me. 12:34 I call back he says he'll decide how to take care of me & call me back, still nothing. Aggravated and feeling blown off and still not feeling well, water and alittle yogurt not cutting it, now I'm hungry so I call at 2:19 & I'm asked if I want to order and knowing who I was, different girl from morning I'd replied by now I am hungry can he just replace it?! She said he was still looking through the receipts, since last night?! I'd asked. I said I'd rather just see what he's decided. It's 3:57 now, My stomach hurts, I'm not happy at all, I am hungry and I don't feel well enough to make something, I feel shaky and weak and now ticked off. I decided to read the reviews. and there are countless ones saying that you are not going to get a call back from the manager. :( I used to love this place. As I opened with what happened?! Those pizzas never look like that before! I don't deserve to be treated this way, no one does! I didn't think I would have to worry if I let him replace it... I figured he would monitor that one! I was trying to be understanding, And also I knew they were getting hit hard from the holiday, I was trying to be nice about it too, and still tipped well on top of everything, and this is the thanks I got. People don't understand when you have a gluten allergy you can't just go anywhere, You have to cook everything you eat. The only break we get is to order a gluten free pizza... Went for a Christmas party my mother in law was throwing. Soda was flat the server kept rolling her eyes at us and never came to check on the party we had to go to her. When we told her the soda was flat she brought us more flat soda after we brought her the pitchers had to ask for pizza to be replenished never introduced herself always just ignored us at the bar until she was done talking to other staff or talking to the other 2 tables in there. Food was amazing. As always.

Super nice portions are big. Price is reasonable we always order anchovies pizza, so delish and the oreo cheese cake !! Friday's they have very good bands playing good sound system.

Went there this evening for dinner. The food was average but the atmosphere was very disturbing. The music they had playing for our entire stay was extremely rude and vulgar. Spoke to our server about it who said she would speak to the Manager about it. Definately will never service this establishment again!

This was my first experience with Danny’s Pizza. We were referred there by someone doing work for us. We got two extra large pizzas. One was sausage and pepperoni and the other was tomatoes and black olives. They were hot, pre-cut, had such a great amount of cheese, and the taste was wonderful. We went in the wrong door for pickup, so we weee directed to the pick up counter. They seemed a little understaffed at the time as the fellow behind the counter was on the phone the majority of the time we waited on the pizzas - about 10 minutes. The lady from inside the restaurant part came in the help get the orders brought to the front. I wasn’t sure if she was supposed to be working there or inside the restaurant. We will definitely eat their pizza again and will go to the right door next time!

Delivery was super fast food was hot but cheese fries were a let down and ranch is kinda sweet everything else was great! Kinda bummed that I specifically asked to PLEASE make sure I get red pepper and still didn’t get any 🙄 I need spicy on my pizza lol

I used to order from Danny’s all the time but today my boyfriend and I picked up a calzone and fries to share. The food was cold, bland, and the calzone dough was partly raw. Very disappointed.

The best pizza in the world!! In elgin that is, pizza brought me back to simpler times last night. It tasted like it did when I was a kid 30 years ago. Nothing like a place that stays the same. So reliable! Extra friendly staff fresh hot food and great outdoor atmosphere all in a hot day like yesterday.

Danny pizza is not the same! Everything from the pizza to the wings, the appetizers..was not good! We requested the cheese pizza be Brown. (ROSITA'S does it all the time) it wasn't. They couldn't! The fried chicken was not seasoned. It was as if they tossed it in grease with no seasonings. And to top it off it was so cold in the restaurant we all ate with our coats on! 1 star! We use to love that place!

Pizza was just okay. We ordered a medium stuffed with sausage sauce is more of a sweet sauce then a tangy pizza sauce. Second pizza was sausage and Mushrooms hard to detect the mushrooms with all the cheese. One other note they charge you for every individual ingredient on your pizza so if you want a fabulous four which is sausage mushrooms green peppers and onions on a xl pizza 22.00 base price plus ingredients is going to cost you around $34.00 little pricey

First time being here , We sat ourselves and the one tall girl in the front seating people has a horrible attitude, Instead of kindly letting us know we should’ve waited for someone , she spoke to us in a very rude way and made us move. Also, food is not as amazing as everybody makes it seem we also ordered hot wings & they were super sour and salty!

Don’t go to Danny’s on Douglas unless you want to freeze all night. Everyone in the place had to wear their coats. We asked if they would turn up the heat several times and they did not! No wonder the place was empty. Pizza was average. Band was excellent.

We ordered pizza from here it came burned and driver was super rude. We also dined in at this place and got cabbage instead of lettuce. I used to love this place but its definitely gone down hill. People beware

Love your pizza but on 1/2 price Monday Allow only 1 pizza for promotion. To get 1/2 pizza you have to dinner in. Cool. Larry time I went my Son and his date, Me and my husband ordered 2 separate pizzas.... But they would only honor the 1/2 Price for 1 pizza not both. That's petty. Ugh

Ordering take-out is a nightmare. an hour and thirty minutes for delivery time? NO. I went and picked it up myself, but they still kept my delivery charge and tip. These automated delivery apps and services will never replace how things used to be. Apparently under new management. They still have good pizza, and excellent traditional bone-in wings. This place could be so much more. I wish they's make the call to John Taffer!

Do not waste your money. Wish to give 0 stars. Got an order for pizza but frozen pizza tastes better then theirs. Stale crust and was ordered thin but got an inch thick crust. Too much cheese on pizza and was the most greesy pizza ive had. Also ordered some apple pie which was an insult to all apple pies. They use the same inch thick dough for pies as the pizza. Apples inside were tiny square apple pieces and had a weird chemical taste. This restaurant's food is like the food on gordon ramsey

Monday 1/2 pizza had too many stipulations. Number of people in your party determine size and quantity of pizza allowed. Unfortunately our server was stupid. I'm sure other servers are good we unfortunately got the bottom of the barrel when it comes to knowledge service.

Unfortunately Danny’s is still going downhill and they simply can’t blame Covid. It’s 100% a gross lack of proper management. The place is absolutely filthy from the dirty windows, uncleaned tables unless requested and horrible service. The bartender still stands around talking while the waitresses struggle to cash people out. The servers are all over the board and act like everyday is their first day. The pizzas are still great; but the lack of management has just become too much. My wife and I have been loyal customers for years, but today will be our last visit. If the owner doesn’t care, why should we. We are done with the place for good.

Ordered the pizza pie cut but got 40+ squares instead. Pizza was good, but it was a hassle eating it one Costco size sample at a time. The bottom got soggy pretty quickly as a result of all the tiny slices.

We ate @ Danny's on Douglas tonight and it was awesome. Their Pizza was just the way we asked for it and the sampler platter appetizer was great. The service was excellent. Thank you Erika. The manager was super nice. We had a Bonus when we saw a Live Band called " The Spindles". Not only were they an excellent band, but friendly as well. I would definitely go back there soon.

Some off the best pizza in the area! Lots of cheese and big chunks of sausage. Good stuff! They have a good selection of craft beers as well. I recommend eating early and be done by the time the live music starts. The place is too loud to enjoy a dinner.

The one, the only, the legend. Danny's is an absolute must when weighing out the best pizza in suburban Chicago. If cheese is your favorite part of the pizza then this is it.

The parking lot is confusing. I walked around the entire building just to find the entrance. When I found a staff member, I was directed to a different part of the building to get my take out. Odd; also there were not well placed signs for this. Thr pizza that I got was 30 bucks for a medium with 4 toppings. Prices are outrageous and the pizza was subpar. Not very much flavor, the crust was thick snd bland, and not enough toppings for the price. I won't be back.

This is the best place! The best pizza! The best family spot! The best bar to watch live music and have late night bites and cocktails! We've hosted many parties here, and the staff is always so welcoming and inviting! We've catered many events for my workplace too!! Such a large space, and honestly, THE BEST PIZZA IN ELGIN!! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I think they do a lot of give back to the community, too, which is so awesome! Thanks, Danny's!

If your looking for a pizza that won't disappoint. Danny's is the place. If you love cheese. Then Danny's will love you back. Pretty much anything on the menu is delicious. If you have not had them yet... (THEN YOU SHOULD!)

I love Danny’s! Line dancing was super fun with Heather. The server, Erika, is so much fun and personable. I can tell Erika really likes people and wants to make customers’ experiences at Danny’s the best she can!!!!!

My son and I came out to Danny's to grab a bite and enjoy some time. The cook Octavio was amazing. The pizza cooked to perfection. The fish fry just perfect. Highly recommend Danny's on Douglas!!!

Had so much fun last Thursday Night!! Hadn't danced that much in one night in awhile! Dancing Instructor Estelle taught some great line dances!!! And DJ Artie was playing some good Music! I'm hoping it's something they have every week. I look forward to going back and have told alot of my friends about it!!!

Hit or miss even down to the individual item. Sometimes the pizza is amazing and sometimes it seems like they are almost out of pizza sauce or trying to get rid of old bread. Sometimes the bruschetta is great and sometimes you wonder if it is named after someone they dislike. Great when it is great!

The Philly cheese steak pizza was awesome! The wings were delicious! The service on the other hand was horrible. She brought our food and never came back to refill my beer or my wife's water. We had one drink and that was it. It's a little hot out would of liked more drinks

Pizza is absolutely delicious! I also like their corn fritters, can't find them around here anymore! Wait staff and bartenders are always genuine and friendly too. There's a small gaming section in the lift as well. Did I mention the photo booth? Great place!
