My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here last year. We loved it so much, we came back this year to celebrate. We got the bologna sliders, a large ceasar salad for appetizers. The sliders were shockingly good! The ceasar salad was also excellent. My wife had the apple butter meatloaf, I had the half braised chicken with peach sauce. Both entrees were top notch! Our server, Faith, was wonderful, and, was happy to answer any questions we had. This is definitely a must stop for us anytime we visit Elijay!

Saw this place on google maps and was very excited to come to this place. Table of 4. It went all down hill from the start. We all ordered drinks… everyone received a drink but the youngest(6 yr old) Waiting and waiting… over 15 minutes and finally got it after asking again for the second time. Ordered a shock top. Draft. As warm as a room temp bottled water. Ordered a bottled bud light. Took until our “ordered” food came to table to receive. Which took absolutely forever for a slow restaurant volume at the time. Caesar salad add shrimp- was as cold as an ice cube. The sword fish was completely raw inside. Hamburger was the only food “warm” to the touch. On top of horrible service, being told there is no room on the outside roof top seating to seat(clearly enough room for a table of 4 outside when you have well over 20 chairs open. And while dining which multiple couples and family’s turned away from service when the restaurant was clearly not even half full at the time. We were over charged and double charged for multiple items on the bill. Including $9 upcharge for horrible grilled shrimp that should have been a $7 upcharge. Only ordered on bud light when there was 2 put on the bill(which I caught before I payed and was taken off. When I mentioned the sword fish was under cooked, was told that is the way it suppose to cooked that way. Then processed to tell me they would throw the fish back on the grill after bites were taken out of it. Conclusion- for a “upscale” downtown roof top restaurant and bar….. service was terrible. Food was absolutely horrible. And def watch your receipt at this place because 1. upcharges are not the same value as what is shown on the menu. 2. More food then what was served was rung up “accidentally” which was a clear lie when told. And on top for our horrible experience, another family was having issues of “disrespect” while walking out.

We had a good meal at the roof in Elijay. We got caught with a bit of a wait because it was Friday evening and there was a storm blowing over so the outside was closed briefly. Perhaps because of that everything moved pretty swiftly. We were able to order and get our food a little quicker than expected. The food was good and service was fast. Ordering seafood pasta always seems like a bit of a gamble on how much of each you get, but they did a good job of balancing. There was plenty of seafood. As the name implies they are a little higher than surrounding buildings so you do get a nice view of Elijay.

If you questioned any of the photos or reviews, then I’m here to tell you that you won’t have to worry, this place wiIl NOT leave you disappointed. Being a tourist with a party of 12 in a community with the black population at 1% we had a lot of question’s but we took our chances and I am glad that we did. The customer service was phenomenal from the moment we walked into the door. The restaurant typically only sits a maximum of 8 per table, it’s a smaller setting restaurant which makes sense but they were so accommodating, so accepting of us, and so ready to provide top tier customer service. The owner, Matt was beyond amazing. Our waitress & their staff were personable, interactive, friendly, knowledgeable, and what I loved the most is that they matched our energy. The Roof exceeded my expectation. Thank you so much for amazing food and service. 10/10

First timer here. The view was amazing, the food was very good. But.. what set this experience apart was the spot on service and personality of our waitress Mary. She was so awesome. Her personality and sense of humor made this a complete experience. If you come dine here make sure to ask for Mary. By the way.. we are not related.

The Apple Butter Meatloaf: tasty. The mashed potatoes and fresh green beans were equally good. Pulled Pork Sandwich: dang good. Coleslaw was equally tasty and peppery. Fries, meh. Gouda Mac-n-Cheese: very good too. Service: excellent.

One of my favorite dining experiences in a while. The rooftop chicken sandwich was absolutely perfect. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and honestly, I was a little jealous because of how great it was. Aspen was our server. She was absolutely stellar. Have told several people to visit. We definitely will be back

We were in Ellijay staying at a cabin for the weekend and we stopped in to get dinner at the roof. The server we had ( I wish I had gotten her name) was extremely cool and was awesome! The food was pretty excellent! I had the Gouda Mac and cheese and the only thing I would change is instead of large pieces of onion, I would make them smaller bites so there’s enough to go in all bites and I would actually caramelize them like the menu says instead of just sautéing. They should definitely be a darker color. These small changes would honestly make that one of my favorite dishes I have ever had at a restaurant! No joke! The bologna sliders are fab! The burgers my husband and daughter had they absolutely LOVED! Overall we were super impressed! Lots of servers on the floor for a small restaurant which was strange but we got lots of attention! We will 100% be back!!

My hubby and I ate here at lunch on a Friday. It was nice to take the elevator up and walk down 3 flights of stairs to burn our calories after a wonderful rack of baby back ribs. We upgraded to the premium side of brocolini and gouda mac and cheese. They were tasty sides. Our starter of shrimp cakes were similar to crab cakes but better to us. The cakes were thin and had the correct crispness and full of flavor. I recommend choosing the outdoor seating on a beautiful day. The view of the town and mountains in the distance from our outdoor table was amazing. They do have fans and retractable awning for the outdoor section. By the way, the rack of ribs was the chef special, so you may not find that item on the menu. We hope to return here on our next visit to Ellijay.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was unique for the area. I had the trout and my wife had the shrimp and grits both were very good. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We chose to sit outside on the deck even though it was supposed to rain in an hour thinking we would be finished eating by then . When the rain started to blow in early our waitress and the manager quickly moved us inside without any issue. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area

What a great place to go eat in Ellijay! Fantastic views, especially when everything is lit up for Christmas! It was too cold and misty out to open up the outside seating area, which would have been a great setting weather permitting. My wife and I decided to eat here after locals recommended the place, and we were glad we did. We arrived at 7pm, and were immediately sat. Our server Selena was great the entire visit. Kept checking on us while working several other tables in her section. Made recommendations, kept our glasses full, engaged in light conversation, etc. Well done Selena! My wife ordered the gouda Mac and cheese, and she said it was really good. I ordered the Rooftop burger and fries. The fries were good, but I must say the meat was overdone a bit. Even so, we recommend this spit to anyone visiting the Ellijay area!

👍 We had a decent lunch here. Everything we ordered was good. Portions on some things seemed a little small, while others were quite large. It was busy and things mostly moved pretty smoothly. Our waitress seemed to get busy cleaning things up a few times. Oddest part was the hostesses. Our lit...
