The owner was SOOOOOOO nice. The definition of GREAT customer service. The gyro and greek fries were AMAZING! Worth the 30 min drive, will be a returning customer.

Athena Gyro restaurant Lagrangeville N.Y. If your ever in town try this grecian decor. Food is very traditional and reminds me of Athens. Platter's souvlaki (like kabobs), chicken,tuna,swordfish pork,shrimp, grilled to perfection, comes with rice or french fries, (regular or feta ),pita,greek salad, crispy green romaine lettuce,cucumber, feta,kalamata olive,tomato,bell peppers with house special dressing. Calamari was a bit overdone, chewy but tasty,gyro meat delicious, tender. Lamb shank stew w/orzo celery,carrots and light tomatoes extremely tender,delicious, grilled salmon, rice and saute broccoli w/ garlic was superb. Expresso and homemade cookies topped the palette. ATHENA Gyro gives big portions, unlike the other Greek restaurant in Kingston leaves you hungry,but ATHENA your leaving satisfied until the next visit. So if your returning or going to n.y.c stop by your palette won't disappoint. $$$ Athena charges a service fee to use your credit card,I believe this is illegal per my credit card co.I question waitress and her response was because of covid.

Stoped by this restaurant on our way to Walkway over the Hudson bridge and was pleasantly surprised by this place. Great fresh authentic Greek food, good quick service. Be aware of huge portions. Baklava was one of the best I had in Greek restaurants in NY area

The side salad that came with my platter was delicious and very fresh--and big enough to be a meal on its own. The ionic platter was super tasty too and I got 2 more meals from the leftovers! Excellent coffee too! The food brought back memories of visiting Greece.

Stopped for lunch between Pennsylvania and New England. A serendipitous stop to put it mildly. Super friendly, beautiful patio, fast service, reasonable price and best of all delicious gyro and Greek fries. Our other items were falafel on pita, a chicken gyro and last but not least the biggest plate of chicken fingers and fries. Maximum points on all. We'll definitely be back.

I liked the place. Food was good. I particularly enjoyed the Greek salad. They have indoor seating as well as a smaller outdoor space. The owner came over to ensure everything was good, which it was. I appreciate that level of service and attention to detail.

Sooo delicious! We both got platters- lots of food, and so fresh and flavorful! Great vegetarian and meat options. We will have leftovers for at least one meal, maybe two! Will definitely stop by next time we’re in town.
